Great views service food
Nope liked it all
The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you, from the reception staff to the lovely chamber maid. Really made us feel welcome. The breakfast was great, hotel lovely and always so clean, we had a great time during our stay.
The pool wasn't heated during our stay in October, however we were aware of this before our visit. It was just a shame that it was too cold to swim in. We really couldn't fault anything else!
Beautiful views Excellent dining Great staff
I loved this hotel. The design mix of coastal with antiques, Italian elegance and Mediterranean colors was exquisite. It was sparkling clean, the food was great, and we all loved it. Highly recommend.
Nice, clean rooms, nice location, certainly if you have the ocean view.
Bit old-school, not run-down, but older infrastructure, old style
Stunning cliff setting Nice gardens and pool area Pleasant staff
10 minute walk into town No tea and coffee making facilities in room No recreational facilities apart from small swimming pool
The view-cruise ships to watch, sunset to watch! G and T on the balcony, huge, comfortable bed, fresh towels twice daily, chocolates beside the bed! A wonderful treat!
A little further from main square than expected-that little bit too far to walk in for evening meal. Restaurant evening meals very expensive and no evening entertainment as listed in info,
Fabulous hotel, beautiful setting overlooking the bay and Mount Vesuvius. Our room was amazing, very big with a jacuzzi on the balcony. Staff very polite and helpful. Good buffet selection at breakfast.
Shame there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, especially as we stayed in a suite. Also no marmalade at breakfast. Swimming pool not heated either.
The best breakfast choices we have ever had. Wonderful service with superb views of the sea. Clean and pleasant room with balcony.
Delicious breakfasts with lots of choice; very friendly staff; fabulous views from the rooms; immaculately clean and well maintained; lovely gardens; very pleasant walk into the centre of town; well located for the train/bus station.
Nothing, really. Pool was not heated and, in October, was cold - but we knew that in advance and swam anyway!!
- room had view of the Bay of Naples - breakfast buffet with a variety of food choices - short walk to center of Sorrento - day trips/excursions offered - clean, neat hotel - friendly staff
The rooms are a good size with Classic Italian decor. Food and service was excellent. We were upgraded to a sea view as it was my 50th. We also got married in Sorrento, and the hotel arranged the photographer. We couldn't have had a better holiday, everything was perfect. Will definately be returning.
We like the friendly proffesional services of all stall in all areas. The house keeping was excellent and everything was spotless.
The towels were not the best at drying and perhaps were due changing.
Great place, very chique, friendly and helpful staff. Views from the restaurant are amazing!
The hotel was very comfortable in every respect but a bit if a walk into the centre of Sorrento. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gardens were particularly pleasant with fabulous views over the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius.
On our first evening we decided to eat in as there was a special menu. Unfortunately the meal was not good and we mentioned this to the waiting staff. As a result it put us off eating in the hotel again.
We had a room with a balcony overlooking Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples - the panoramic view was awe inspiring!! We left our patio doors open at night to listen to the waves lapping on the shore. The hotel was immaculate in every way - the added touch of a fruit plate to greet us was perfect. We reserved "a la carte" for dinner on the last night and had an excellent meal with a view of the lights of Naples. The hotel is a little out of the downtown which is busy with tourists - for a 10 minute walk we had a tranquil haven and perhaps the best view in Sorrento.
I would not change a thing. This hotel gets it right.
The lovely ambience, polite professional and most helpful staff in all hotel areas, beautiful grounds and a wonderful cliff top location overlooking the bay towards Naples and Vesuvious. 10 minutes walk to the local square, shops and restaurants.
Staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and good variety. The bedrooms were ample sized with plenty of storage and the lighting was good. Views of Bay of Naples and Vesuvius were stunning. It was not warm enough for swimming in the pool or sea but I imagine that in mid-summer it would be perfect.
We had booked two rooms as part of one transaction and had separate pre-authorisation charges for each room which meant we were stung with two Euro transaction charges by our UK bank rather than just one. No free water or tea or coffee facilities in the room.
Everything about this hotel was excellent. I don't understand the negative reviews - Unless your room faced the road! We didn't have dinner there but breakfast and poolside food were good. It was worth the extra money for a class hotel.
We liked the general location and the terraces facing the sea for a great relaxation spot. Hotel architecture was typically Italian and nice with friendly staff.
Could not turn the bathroom light off.
The facilities, amenities and staff were nothing short of excellent.
Having to deal with unreliable bus service to the center of town (Piazza Tassa) and no late return service. So we were forced to take taxi service after 19:00 hrs
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the location excellent and facilities such as the 'beach' and the pool in the garden perfect for a relaxing break. The bed was very comfortable and the room beautifully furnished with a good sized bathroom. The food was excellent. We will certainly return.
We had a cute balcony but it did not have a view or a window, it was an internal shaft. This was not made clear upon booking and was very disappointing for us. The tile mural was beautiful but if I had known this upon booking I may have made a different choice of room or location if there was no availability as I really don't like enclosed spaces so we did not use the room for relaxing as we would normally on a holiday.
Staff was very helpful. Hotel grounds were wonderful Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant food was great and good prices. Loved the sun deck and private swimming
