Location was perfect, just at the end of the pier. Also those little hand showers before entering the hotel area/room were really smart! Bungalow area was very beautiful, rooms were spacious and air conditioning worked well.

Perfect place to chill and enjoy the view from sea and the sunset on the cliff I’ll definitely come back!
Nice for walks. nice bays, beaches. The nicest beach and resort i think is lazy beach I think. It is more remote very much built into the jungle and layed back , snorkling available - good corals if the water is clear apparently. You can walk from there accross to the main beach: Saracene bay, not far.

Prior to travelling to Sanloem I read online that there are no roads on the island and was therefore quite shocked to see the massive, wide, bulldozed dirt roads that had been carved into the island's untouched jungle. Upon investigating the matter, we found out that a Chinese owned company has rented half of the island from Cambodian government and is planning on building big hotels and casinos around the island. So, what you saw during your visit year ago is totally different from this year. I dread to think what the island will looklike in 5-10 years time.

Long Time Visitors to Koh Rong Sanloem.
Long Time Visitors to Koh Rong Sanloem. Stayed at Lazy Baech for many years when it was only accommodation on Island and Saracen Bay was development free and a 25min walk through Jungle. Now they have cleared a 4 lane road through the Jungle from Saracen Bay to Lazy Beach. Just stayed at M'pai bay for first time and it my new favorite location in Koh Rong Sanloem. Nice village feel in nice bay with a fantastic main beach around the headland that is not developed. Lots of great Food and Drink options and allround friendly owners.

Nice and quiet island, small enough to cover the main sights on foot. We loved lazy beach but weren't so impressed by Saracen bay. This is mainly because of the amount of rubbish in the water/sand but I guess it depends on the currents/wind. The island itself has very basic facilities and reduce accessibility, I don't think it would be suitable to someone on a wheelchair or using crutches.

This is a great place to relax and sit around on the beach, plenty of activities if you want but we just relaxed.
We ate at Saracen Bay Resort most of the time, great food and very reasonably priced, seemed to be cheaper than other places along the beach.

We really enjoyed to stay at Sunny Bungalows. Located next to the pier, it is a very good starting point to remote places and beaches of the island. In 10-15 minutes you reach almost every restaurant on the main beach (Saracen Bay).
The staff was corteous, always available and very very friendly. It is managed by two young couples, that are putting a lot of effort into it to get it running again (after/during Covid). Another big plus was the unlimited refill of drinking water (25l bottle on the terrace of each bungalow).
Great stay - really enjoyed it! The staff met us at the pier and took us on a small boat to the resort. All the staff were so friendly and helpful at all times!
Our room was lovely and comfortable plus had TV with lots of international channels to choose from. We enjoyed the swimming pool too as it was so hot - it was really nice and well kept - the surrounding area was great lots of trees so still had the island feel.
Very good location - Lazy Beach was an easy walk plus shops nearby. Recommend!
We received a lovely welcome from Paulo after a bit of a trek to get here. Sunboo has a great beachfront restaurant with a good menu. It has basic bungalows with everything you need including electricity from solar, it also has a dorm in a separate area. Cori and Nadja are the nicest hosts ever, they genuinely went the extra mile to make you feel at home. Sunset beach is the last piece of paradise left on Koh Rong Sanloem, visit while it's still there.
Absolute paradise! I wish I could have stayed longer. The bungalows are basic but clean, the staff is very kind (they arranged my transfers from Phnom Penh, big thanks), the food at the restaurant was 10/10 and the beach was fantastic. Added bonus, they had like 10 different hammocks to lounge on and this is priceless to me :)
Beautiful beach! Incredibly nice and attentive hosts. We enjoyed free Yoga classes each morning from 7-8:30 with a view of the beach taught by one of the owners. Good food (esp recommend the clams and the passionfruit mojitos!). We also borrowed snorkeling gear for a trip to Lazy Beach. Very fun.
The best place to stay while on this island, the bungalow was very cute, the beach beautiful with sunset in the evening and glowing plankton at night. It is not a hotel but a community and you can feel it in the friendly atmospehere. The food was delicious as well!
The hotel is well located at the end of the more busier beach part but had all the bars and bbq places nearby. We enjoyed the additional pool, which was very well maintained.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
Cocktails during Happy Hour are quite good.
Kitchen and maintenance staff friendly, yet they don't speak much English if any at all.
This is a great island, we love it and cambodia in general, it is also our second time to koh rong samloem in the past year.
Sadly this isnt what we expected. .
When walking up and down the beach I quickly had to admit that this is one of the best locations you can pick on Koh Rong Sanloem. The beach is quite clean, the vibe is good and we were lucky enough to have enjoyed some live music. Food is also great.
One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. So peaceful and picturesque, staff are on hand to help whenever. Great happy hour! We loved Jenny the hotels dog. All round amazing stay. Good selection on breakfast although quality could be improved.
Easy to access beach front from the main boats and easy to walk to sunset and lazy beach to explore the island. the food is good, and relatively inexpensive compared to other surrounding places. the beds are really comfortable as well
The atmosphere of the place is amazing. The location, the great staff, the restaurant... Giving just the perfect vibes for that place.
If you are looking for chilling, this is the best hotel in Saracen Beach.
Paradise on earth. Sebastian is a great host, and the food in the restaurant is excellent. Beach is clean, beautiful and secluded. Neighbouring hotels and bungalows also have restaurants for variety.
Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Located at the nicest end of the beach. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful day beds on the beach. The nicest hotel in Saracen Bay.
The hotel is right on the beach and is in a really nice setting! Lots of comfy furniture to chill on! The room was cool and bed was comfy. Great breakfast included too!
