the staff wasnt very friendly but they were ok. apparently the budget hotel shares a hall with the regular ibis but has a different lobby. i didnt even realize i booked a budget. the rooms are small the beds are hard but its safe quiet and has everything u need. i enjyed opening the window for fresh air. there is no uber so getting around isnt awesome unless u use public transportation. its free which is nice but i ddint want to cart the family around from bus stop to bus stop.

Situated about a 15 minute walk from the center of Luxembourg, and right on the corner from an enormous parking lot with public transportation links all over the city (and country), Hotel Victor Hugo is a very good stay in the Capitol of the Grand Duchy, and I would definitely consider staying again. The parking lot is not free during the day - but is in evenings after 18:00 and on weekends. Remember to check for the Schoberfeuer, an annual festival in August in Luxembourg where the lot is converted into a fun fair (and obviously no parking is allowed). This aside, it's also a 10 min tram ride to the main station, meaning it's good for those there without a car, also.
The rooms are big and clean, including the bathrooms and come with full shutters which effectively block the noise of the streets before. There are supermarkets, restaurants (including a famous local one) and other things all within walking distance. We didn't have time to check out the other facilities of the hotel but there are plenty.
This hotel is in the heart of the Kirchberg area, just over half a mile from the MUDAM museum. Novotel has a restaurant and a bar. It has large, modern rooms.

We loved how close it was to the train station, tram, and lots of places to eat. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Beautiful and very elegant, green peaceful city. I came back very relaxed. Quiet everywhere, no hens or families on vacation, perfect for me. I'm planning to come back and see more of the country.

Luxembourg is underrated for many travelers.
Luxembourg is underrated for many travelers. Luxembourg City is easily doable in one day, but the countryside offers so much more. We visited Echternach, Vianden, Esch-sur-sure and Beaufort, the mullerthal region, Remich and more over the course of 2 days and wish we could have had 1 more day to explore and hike.

Luxembourg was a great city, more beautiful than i expected.
Luxembourg was a great city, more beautiful than i expected. The old city was wonderful, a lot o things to see. The first day i thought i have seen everything, but i visited the next day, also a lot of other things that i havent seen. I will return again in Luembourg because i think i havent seen everything. I traveled with the train from Germany to Luxembourg. The prices were a little bit high but for the standard of living in Luxembourg maybe its ok. You can see everything walking on foot.

Anyone visiting the Low Countries is missing out if they skip Luxembourg. We went to The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and Luxembourg proved to be the most pleasantly surprising. It is a legitimate European destination. We highly recommend visiting!!

Luxembourg is the only country in the world that offers free trains, buses tramways (except for first class). But still there is some space and it is not crowded.
The way to the airport is short.
All leisure types are available (museums, parks,…)
I loved the pool though water can be a bit warmer. nice sauna and liked wet sauna.
liked the pool outside (was not open now as in April is still cold but in the summer is amazing). they also have an outside small pool for kids.
nice green area around the hotel. the hotel is very close to Luxembourg city center and for those without car, there is a bus station.
for those with dogs, they accept it and my dogs were welcomed there. I liked also that there were a lot of fruits at breakfast and the fruit salad was very good.
The staff is excellent. Very cordial and helpful. However, the location was a bit far from the city centre but that's fine. There was a room service as well (charged) but we had to call a few times to get things done. In sum, I think their staff is the USP. They were kind enough to reach out even before my stay to ask about food preferences, allergies. Also, they let us know that there is a concert scheduled in front of the hotel so would you like to change the dates. This was really good gesture.
We loved the hotel. A traditional hotel with great service, lovely staff and clean rooms.
The breakfast was great too. Madame Jeannette , next door was a nice dinner choice as well.
We particularly liked the senior aged gentleman who looked after us. Such an asset to the hotel. The location is close to the free tram which takes you to the city centre. An easy walk from the station, if travelling by train. The reception staff speak several languages. A great stay. Thank you.
The staff were very accommodating seeing that we have a lot of luggages, they gave us 2 separate rooms instead of one family room that we booked. So far the best accommodation we had in our European tour. We do thank the hotel staff for their hospitality. I highly recommend for foreigners to stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel is safe even at night and is conveniently located within walking distance to the city’s tram station to go to the tourist areas.
We had an amazing experience in this hotel. The staff was very nice, the breakfast was amazing, the room was very comfortable with a good heater for the winter and it was the cleanest hotel room I have ever seen!
It is situated in a calm place, a bit far from the city center but has a good bus connection only a 6 minute walk apart.
To sum up, our stay was very comfortable and we definetly recommend the Hotel Sieweburen if you want to visit Luxembourg.
Nice hotel with great location - short walk to the city center. The location is also quite quiet, however, rooms facing street can hear noise from traffic.
Nice staff (especially that guy who worked evening/night shift - sorry, I do not remember your name).
Good, but modest breakfast on a terrace with a view.
There is a parking on the site, however always full. There is another, public parking house, Monterey, just across the park.
Pet friendly.
Stayed for two nights for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend. We were welcomed very nicely and accommodating by Maxime, who had some great advices for sights to see around and cheap parking possibilities in the city center.
Hotel is located about a quick 10/15 min drive to the center, very quiet surroundings and a classy looking bar/restaurant. Overall, recommend this place!
Glad to choose this hotel for a short trip to Luxembourg. It had comfortable beds, spacious rooms, a peaceful sauna and a varied breakfast buffet. A good night's sleep also possible. Great staff too. Location is a bonus: walk into the city centre via the park for some beautiful scenery and historic sites. Easy access to and from the airport.
We booked the hotel for one night. They offer free parking if you have a car. The city centre is 10 minutes approximately away. It is also close to the airport. They offer breakfast which you can pay at the property or book in advance. The room was really small but clean. Also, even though it’s located next to the airport it’s really quiet.
Location was in a quiet neighbourhood, a little out of main parts of town but walkable from city center (or can hop on a tram- for free- part of the route, then walk). Good price compared to other hotels which were available at my time of booking. Check in and check out was very easy.
The hotel was in a good location, 12 mins drive from the city centre. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had plenty of room for relaxing. Free water and orange juice were provided in the fridge. Street side parking was chargeable, however, it was free at weekends.
Public transportation is free in luxembourg. Near to the hotel there is a bus stop and frequency of busses to the city center is pretty good which makes it more accessible.
Restaurants and a mall is within walking distance.
The room itself was big enough and spacious
Very close to the city center and good communication. Great italian resto (which is probably the main business and hotel is just side business). Rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was not only nice but very helpful and joyful.
Hotel was located a short walk to most sights and the city centre. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Facilities to make tea and coffee in the room. Lots of storage spaces. Good value when compared to other hotels nearby.
The hotel is located near the airport. City center located nearby as well. There was a shuttle bus to the airport. There is a bus station to the city center as well.
The parking area is ok.
Nice place, it was clean and good for price compared to other hotels in the city. A little far from city center, however there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel and it is free.
The hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly and very helpful aswell. Very comfortable bed aswell. Location is perfect to the city centre and right outside a bus stop.
