Great design, really creative and beautifully decorated common areas and rooms.
The location is nice too, close to the neighborhood restaurants and the nature trails.
The breakfast was good as well and the staff were very friendly and forthcoming.

A separate unit some 50 meters from the main building. Nice apartment with a living room, kitchenette and one bedroom. The restaurant, playroom for kids and lounge were really nice. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.

It's like Latvian Twin Peaks.
It's like Latvian Twin Peaks. Take your time to wander around, up and down, all these wooden pathways and roads. I especially like to walk in Līgatne during the dark hours. Very mystic and inspirational.

This place offers a geography that is not present in most of Latvia. While most of the country is flat as a pancake, this place has some hills and cliffs of exposed compressed sand. Gauja river is nearby if you want to have a swim or sail a boat. There's not much to visit though, and because of the tourists, the prices are insane for Latvian countryside. All three places you can eat in are expensive and the food is so-so. There's a zoo, a suspended net park for kids, and old abandoned paper factory that requires you to book tours in advance. That's about it.

Gorgeous nature, nice walking trails and the nature reserve...
Gorgeous nature, nice walking trails and the nature reserve is a must-visit. And the soviet bunker of course is also a must-see. A great place to visit which is close to the city yet far enough to have its own vibe.

Forest, caves, board walks, old factory ruin and lake right behind the house. Ligatne nature trails nearby. The apartment has everything you need. Most important locations in the national park are within a 10-25 minute drive. We would have loved to stay longer.
