Great breakfast, friendly to the guests, very well positioned.

First night they gave us a room outside the hotel, 10 min walk, completely different from what we had booked. After talking to them they changed us to a better room inside the hotel, where we should have stayed the first place... This second room was great, the first one no so great...

Excellent location, very cosy riad with home atmosphere. Sanae who is managing the place is very friendly and supportive. Breakfasts are tasty and nourishing, done in traditional moroccan style.

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great and as we had a very early departure on our last day, staff rose early and prepared a picnic for our long bus journey. This is a small establishment and we liked the intimacy and individually decorated rooms and really everything! It was our first stay in Morocco and one of our best experiences. It is worth booking a dinner one night as it is prepared fresh for you and all the courses are typical foods and come with explanations of what they are. Staff will help with ideas on what to see. I can't speak highly enough of our visit. It is one of our treasured memories of an amazing holiday.

The rooms were designed very well. The breakfast was the best yet.

The staff weren't all that helpful or outgoing.

It was difficult to tell if the manager was using thinly veiled sarcasm or was just completely stoned. Either way he made us feel extremely uncomfortable. He clearly had no interest in organising breakfast at 8.00 (or something to take away) so that we could go hiking. Eventually we were offered two brown bananas. Couldn't wait to leave.

Nice staff, decent room. Instead of the double we reserved they only had a smaller room with 2 twin beds and no dresser. Eggs cooked to order weer included with breakfast.

The hotel did not help us with directions or a taxi to meet us at the bus stop. I had requested this in an email, but got no response. The taxi driver dropped us at the wrong place, over charged us and handed us of to a helper. The helper took an unusually long path to the hotel, because he didn't know where it was and then wanted a lot of money. When we left we walked back to the bus stop on our own a much shorter way.

Easy to get to. Very helpful staff. One of them, Amin, is outstanding. Amin's wife is an excellent cook and the quality of food we ate in Casa Miguel was far superior to restaurant food.

The pre-dawn call to prayer is so loud but it is something one has to accept.

Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and agreeable. Chez Miguel has an easy going ambience and is one of the very best guest houses in the delightful town of Chefchaouen at moderate good value price.

Just that I was unable to stay longer.

We had a relatively good experience at Casa Miguel for the two nights we stayed there in early January. When the power went out for a half hour or so in all of Chefchaouen, they rushed us a candle to our room. The room was nice and had some really nice authentic artworks in it, but the only window we had was in the bathroom and they didn't have a room with a double bed so we had to push two small beds together. They said maybe the second night they could get us in a different room, but they never brought it back up again so we had to survive with the twin beds. The heat worked really well and hot water shower also worked well, so that was great!.Cleanliness was so-so...we found hairs in our bed and it seemed likely that the sheets had not been changed. This may have been because people were up partying for new years the night before, but that still is not an excuse. The manager spoke english and gave us excellent directions as to how to take taxi, bus, and train to get to our flight in Casablanca. The two male staff members were very welcoming and friendly, especially the one who is not the manager (i wish i knew his name, he was so kind!). The female staff member was unfriendly and silent, but seemed hardworking. They allowed us to leave our bags there because we arrived before the check-in time. Breakfast was good, with a couple different kinds of bread (one morning they were warmed up, one morning they were cold....they were much better when warmed), Lots of different kinds of olives, nutella, butter, and local fromage for the bread, and a warm egg cooked over easy, and served with love.

The Wifi does not work well and was completely unusable almost all of the 2 days we stayed there. Common space was minimal and cramped, but always well-heated, unlike almost any other hotel where we stayed. Most of the hotels in Morocco had a nice common space for guests to sit, but there really was not space for that in Casa Miguel. The room for eating was dark and cold with no windows. Because of the marijuana industry in the region, there are some tourists that come to Chefchaouen for Marijuana tourism. Hotel Casa Miguel seemed to cater to or appeal to that crowd. The smell of marijuana seemed ever-present in the lobby and wofted into our room. Manager seemed to be high a lot, giggling uncontrollably about nothing while explaining mundane things and wearing pajama pants all day. Although we didn't mind any of that particularly, it was not the reason we were in Chefchaouen and were generally more comfortable at the other place we stayed where no one was smoking.

The staff is very friendly, also they replyed quickly to my emails. Their English is good! They do their best to make you feel at home and they are there to answer your questions. Location is good, a nice walk up the hill. Good breakfast with eggs!!! We liked it.

The Triple room had only 1 (double) bed and a couch! There is no bath only a shower. Beds are hard. They gave us a soft matrass, that was nice. Shower was warm, but little water came out. For paying with Visa creditcard they charge 47 euro for administration, so we decided to pay cash. Small bottles of water cost 1,5 euro each, so buy water in the street.

The owner/manager was so nice and helpful, nothing was to much for him. He really looked after his guests. We had a lovely evening meal, good breakfast and pretty rooms.

    Everything was slightly disorganised.

They were having a glass door installed during our two night stay, so that was a major inconvenience (noise, messy, etc) 20 euros extra per child is unreasonable given the room rate is otherwise 40 Hotel manager promised the room at 12 but it wasn't ready when we came back at 12:45 Tried to check out at 8am, hotel manager reprimanded me saying that checkout starts at 8 having not seen the time; ironically states that checkout begins at 7am I was charged for bus tickets that were returned at the bus station for a refund by hotel staff

Cozy and cute and located high up in the town. Very hospitable host, Wadi, who made our stay very comfortable and had answers to all our questions. The rooms were nice. Really liked this hotel and recommend it highly.

Breakfast could be organised a bit better. Plentiful but a hot breakfast is always nice first thing in the morning.
