Dar Zman Very good 8.1 This is a quirky place that you won't ever forget. Omar is someone that touches your heart. The whole experience was wonderful and one day I will be back.
Dar Dalia Excellent 8.6 Staff is so nice. The taxi can stop in front of the hotel. Room is good. Breakfast is good on the rooftop. Washing machine is provided. The owner arranged taxi and take away breakfast for us when we have to leave very early in the morning.
Dar Baibou Good 7
Dar Meziana Excellent 8.6 Very unique, beautiful place with an extremely helpful, friendly staff.
Casa Hassan Good 7.4 We enjoyed our stay at Casa Hassan- great central location. It is more like a B&B than a hotel. Yummy but limited breakfast. I will stay there again. The village is a must to see
Hotel Parador Good 7 We enjoyed the friendly staff, amazing room, effective air-conditioner, clean swimming pool and great location. You do not want to miss the Parador!
Hôtel Koutoubia Excellent 8.6 Everything was easy, including parking. Owner is actually my friends retired physics teacher. Made us feel at home. Book triple room with a terrace. Has an incredible view.
Riad Nerja Chaouen Very good 8.2 Antonio was so kind and helpful. He recommended us great restaurants and helped us arrange our car back to Tangier. Riad Nerja is beautifully decorated, has a great terrace that looks over the city and was one of our favorite places we stayed on our trip.
Dar Zambra Excellent 8.9 This guest house was fabulous.
Riad Assilah Chaouen Very good 8.5 We arrived by taxi from Tangier. Our driver was able to ask for directions and he found it easily. There are many signs with arrows for directions. Ismail welcomed us with Mint Tea and helped us get oriented in the town. He showed us where the best restaurant was in town. It really was very good! The Paloma. They even had a raffle for our table and the prize was a beautiful kaftan!. My girlfriend and I stayed in room with 3 twins. It had two heaters and nice windows to see out. There was plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and had fresh breads, cheese, fruit, spreads, with coffee and tea. We explored the Medina and walked to the Spanish Mosque on the hill to watch the sunset. The next day we did the river walk and a bit of shopping. The staff were very helpful and understanding in fixing an issue we had with our bill.
Dar Elrio's Wonderful 9.4 Wow. i could write an essay about what i like. So after spent some hours on the "chicken bus" from tanger and told by the driver to got off somewhere on the road since the bus (not the ctm) didn't go directly to chaouen bus station, where Norman from the hotel had already waited us to pick up. We end up drove chaouen by grand taxi that apparently provided by the bus to passangers head to chaouen, since we pay nothing for the taxi and got off somewhere in the city center near the hospital. Actually, 2 days prior our arrival, Ali the owner, had contacted me by email to know whether i need a pick up or not. So while i was still in the tanger gare routiere, i've made a called to him, to let him know that we'll be leaving using the 2 pm bus. But then after what had happened, and we couldn't find any telephone boutique and all the public phone that available should be with card, so we end there by our self which took Ali by surprised since he had already send Norman to fetch us in the bus station. Then by the time we got to our room, all the efforts to climb up the road path was pay of by having a room with a river view and also the hill and the mountain. We opted for another 1 nite extension from the initial booking we made. This casa is nothing big place in particular, there's like onlyb7 rooms, but that's what make it so wonderful. Not really brushing with too many people at the same time, so every body still got their own space, you know. And the next day, while were just going back to the casa, we happened to bump with Ali, and he said that after friday prayer, his mom ussualy makeva couscous, and he invited us for lunch. Such a nice gesture. And we end up enjoying our first time ever of couscous, a friendly ambiance and convo with Ali, Norman and 3 others guests. And by the time we need to proceed our Journey,Ali even help all the guests bookwd their CTM bus, and also the taxi to drove us there.
Dar Sababa Excellent 8.9 Stuff very friendly and forthcoming Nice big room with comfy bed Very clean! Incredible view from the terrace Best breakfast we had in whole morroko

    • Location, interior, Moroccan decor, my room on the first floor, very friendly staff especially Murad and Neofaul, breakfast, great hospitality. Dar Meziana is probably the best hotels I had during my Spain/Morocco trip in December 2014! Travellers should book their rooms at Dar Meziana cos you will leave with great and beautiful memories at this beautiful Riad!

    • Cannot say enough great things. Book it and get there! The staff, great...the hotel, great...the breakfast and coffee, great - the experience of all combined including the beautiful Chefchaoeoun, priceless. You guys and the Dar Echchaouen made our trip to Morocco, the best. Thank you. Gary

    • The riad (rooms and exterior) was clean, and the showers worked quite well (by Moroccan standards). The beds were comfortable and I had no problems sleeping (1AM shoe-cobbler excepted) both nights of our stay. Additonally, the hotel is within the medina and very close to the major souk areas, as well as the main square within the old city. To boot, there is a good djellaba shop practically next door...

    • The view. As it is located on the top of the hills, you can look down great Chefchaouen town. Also it was nice to have a delicious breakfast on the rooftop. When we got to Hotel Parador, where you can get closest to the hotel, we called Dar Zambra and one of the staff kindly came down to pick us up and helped us the baggage. We really enjoyed our stay in Dar Zambra.

    • The owner, Ahmed, was genuinly nice and very helpful. We were travelling onto Fes and he arranged to have a guide take us to the grande taxi stand and arrange a fair price and the route to Fes. By doing so we paid half the rate at a cost of a few dirhams to the guide. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was on the terrace with fresh juice, homemade butter and local honey. The rooms were ideal for a 5/6 family and well air conditioned.
