I recently had the most amazing stay at this hotel in Perast, Kotor Commune, Montenegro. The exceptional receptionist, Andrijana, and the friendly buggy driver made my experience truly unforgettable. Their warm and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home. From the moment I arrived, Andrijana was incredibly helpful, providing excellent service and answering all my questions with a smile. The buggy driver was always ready to whisk me away to different parts of the town with a friendly chat along the way. Their exceptional service truly made a difference and added that special touch to my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Thank you, Andrijana and the buggy driver, for making my stay so incredible!

The town of Perast over the past several years has become like a hotel, analogous to Sveti Stefan - looking beautiful and functioning great for tourists. Perast is very small, one can walk all along it within twenty minutes, and that explains, but does not justify the absence of any pharmacy in the town, which is my only complaint.

Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk.
Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk. All restaurants are expensive tourist traps with expensive lousy food. Parking is a nightmare. It is worth a 30 minute visit to walk along the beach front (make sure you are not hungry)

We had 3 weeks in Montenegro and spent the last 3 nights in Perast. We could have had another 2-3 days here to be fair. It is much calmer than Kotor and even though it is much smaller we enjoyed Perast better as a city. It is not so crowded and we enjoyed walking from Perast to Risan where we had lunch and then on the way back we stopped for a swim. We had lunch at an amazing oyster farm (the first one on your right as you walk back from Risan - search for "Mussles and Oysters farm with Restaurant" on Google). They were fully booked but still gave us a table and we had one of the best lunches!
We also spent a day swimming, there are several small "concrete piers" that you can swim from, good for both adults and children, but remember to have shoes to swim with, lots of mussels and rocks at some spots.
I also have to recommend a restaurant called “Underwater wine cellar Kraken Kotor”. A small independent restaurant, floating just outside of Perast on the way towards Kotor. We had a swim straight “of” the restaurant, good food and wine. It is an experience you will never forget!
We never went to Our lady of the rocks, it just seemed to be too crowded (unless you manage to get with the first taxi/tour in the morning). We did walk up in the church tower in the centre.

Perast was lovely, although with a young family a day trip would have been long enough. There is a cafe which serves the best pizza I’ve ever eaten - Bocolibre I think it was called. If only there were more relaxed cafe type places to eat as all the restaurants serve the same dishes. It is truly pretty but lacks enough beach space for the amount of visitors. We used a spot on the road to enjoy swimming which was fine but not restful or much fun for young children.
We had a fantastic stay here during a 25th wedding anniversary trip. The staff were all friendly and helpful in every way they could be. Our room had perfect views straight out over the water. The buffet breakfast is was included in our rate and was hands down the best we’ve seen. Perast is a good location as a base for a few days in Montenegro, a short drive to Kotor and close enough for a day trip elsewhere in the country. The hotel also arranged a private boat tour of the Bay of Kotor including a visit to the Blue Cave.
All was great.
Nice breakfast buffé, friendly staff.
We stayed at the annexed studio with jacuzzi.
The room was very clean and fresh.
We really had a lovely stay.
We only stayed one night but this was the only place my boyfriend had a good night sleep during our vacation in Montenegro. Comfortable beds.
You will need to take some steep aprox 60 steps to get to the apartment. But the view from the steps are lovely and the location is nice.
Thank you we will come back.
I have stayed for 2 days. It was amazing! The view was tremendous. You should wake up early because you can watch in the best way the view of the bay of Kotor. You can park your car in the parking lot easily. The house was clean(it was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed). Also, it has a terrace which you can have breakfast or sip wine. Despite the weather being rainy while I was staying, Perast streets and the view of the bay were wonderful.
Mrshe Palace Guesthouse was a beautiful place to stay in Perast. I had a room with a balcony facing the bay, and it was so lovely to open the windows and take in the views. There was also plenty of outdoor seating throughout the property, although it was too hot when I visited to really take advantage of it. Breakfast was great and had a lot of variety. The owner, Liliana, was very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay here again.
If you are looking for a small but luxury boutique hotel in the area: this is your place! Perast is the most beautiful town in the area, Monte Bay Retreat is a jewel and the owner as well as the staff of the hotel are providing great hospitality. You really feel like a family guest, not just a "paying number". We stayed 8 night and had a very enjoyable and relaxing time the there.
The best apartment we’ve lived during our trip to Montenegro. The house by itself is something unbelievable as it rests here for 450+ years according to owners words. Looks a feels great and cosy both inside and outside. Apartment is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Anka and her husband are hospitable, ready to help you regarding any matter.
A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the delightful village of Perast. This small chacter hotel has a first class restaurant right on the waters edge and our waiter, who has been working in the hotel for 47 years was excellent.Must also mention Marrianna on reception who was super efficient and friendly.
Per Astra is up the hill in Perast, meaning that it is one of the rare hotels in the village owning a parking place. This was the main reason for our choice of the hotel, and it fully delivered on the promise. The room was very large and calm, with a huge bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel provides an impeccable experience from A to Z - it's location can't be beat, it's gorgeous design-wise, the team is super friendly and responsive, and, unlike many non-branded properties, the ergonomics are on top, from room finishings to soundproof. Highly recommended for a stay in Perast.
The location of the villa was very near to the city center. The lady who attended us Vanesa was lovely, even if she didn't speak perfect English she tried to help us as much as she could. The room was clean and well maintained. The view from the terrace was spectacular.
The location was just great , we had a lovely host she was verry sweet. and helped us with everything. It felt like we were staying with favorite aunt. I hope to visit again in the future.
People of montenegro are very welcoming warm and kind.❤🇲🇪❤
the best location in Perast, beach front. It is right in the central of this small town, The room is spacious, quite, the host is the best, she help us arrange everything and is always there to help. We are happily staying here. highly recommended.
We came back for our last day in Montenegro to spend in Perast. Love this place and definitely it will be my stop next time I'll travel to Montenegro.
Again thank you for everything and I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
An absolute gem right on the waterside in Perast! We stayed in a junior suite and it was gorgeous! Very comfortable and clean! The hotel check in staff was so friendly and even picked us up from where we had parked our car.
It is the most beautiful place where we have stayed in Montenegro. We appreciate David and his hospitable father for everything. The apartment is so clean and we will come again!
