I arrived late after midnight but the check-in process was really smooth. I appreciate the front desk staff stayed up till late for my check-in. The room is spacious and spotless clean! I did not drive but my room has a parking lot outside as well. The only minor issue is the AC is a little loud. Staff are really friendly & helpful to me (non-Spanish speakers), I really appreciate! Bus Terminus is not far from the hotel location.

To warm. even in the winter month a the end of November!
The real problem, was Booking.com, when I choose One Way from Tux MX. to DFW, when I ticked proceed, Booking.com's AI toggled reserve to ROUND TRIP,
But that did not show on "conformation" page, I just though the price was high!
So leaving on date chosen, BUT, the 3:30pm was changed, by AI to 9:30AM same day, Or 6 hours AHEAD of original flight time!
And to make that even more horrid: we are the get to the airport 3 hours ahead of, poofy 6:30 AM, I didn't the change of the total of 9 hours BEFORE. so my Cabby didn't know so WE BOTH MISSED THE FLIGHT,
And I also found the AI double charging when I tried to book another ONE WAY, Tux to DWF, was $498.00, rather than half that! AND according to Booking.com new AI, I'd get to DWF, and hop right back on a plane, and return to Tux,MX 3 hours latter! Not this 75 year old man!
So I be taking buses, that are not booked with Booking.Com's new AI!
Booking.com did that same thing to my 72 year old sister, and their support couldn't FIX that double booking robbery, so I owe her for that AI robbery, also, making total loss, besides TIME, OVER $1000.00 USD!
Since I didn't get my money back that I lost, of $1000.00 USD, I can't afford to book with Booking.com, any more, since their so-called support didn't return the overpayments, either!

Two nights is sufficient to go on a trip.
Two nights is sufficient to go on a trip. Industrial city nothing to see. Good Uber service to use for the trip to Sumidero canyon you don’t have to pay tour operators. Stay in newer Hilton on the Main Street.
You can safely eat the cut fruits from the vendors on the street or the square. Crisp in a bag and they pour hot sauce on top, delicious. I had rice drink with cinnamon and it tasted of rice pudding. I wouldn’t go again if I had a choice I would go to Palenque.

Tuxtla is a glimpse into what Mexico is like, when away from tourists. Local, everyday life is what you will find here.
It's very walkable city, easy to navigate.
Parque Marimba is a great spot to hang, with live Marimba band and dancing on Sat night!
"La Marimba", a tiny tamale shop across from the parque, opens at 6:30 p.m., and people start lining up before it does! Eaten tamales all my life, these are by far the best I've had! They sell out very fast.
Botanas bars, cute local shops and cafes.
Malhaya is a new, chic botanas bar with great service, food and friendly staff.
The huge outdoor market area is bustling and fun.
Easy access to Sumidero by short collectivo, San Cristobal is an easy hour bus ride away.

Beautiful state lots to see.
Beautiful state lots to see. We went to San cristobal, palenque, Chiapas we corzo to do sumidero. The boat ride through that area was worth the money. Visited ocozocuatla and went to the aguacero a very beautifull water fall. It was so amazing we went back to play in the warm clean water. 700 steps down and back up but worth every step. So much to see. Food was ok. Never really found a gourmet rest. Tuxtla and towns are old a little and look run down more garbage around then other parts of mx

The city is a mix of "we exist because people live here" and "there is a excellent canyon nearby, so we exist for the tourism".
Yet nothing in the city is especially touristy.
I would not enjoy a vacation here.
The nearby Sumidero canyon is a must see. Also the route along the top of it with a bunch of viewpoints.
The malls are mostly run down 80's era things that have nothing much to offer other than the standard assortment of shops and fastfood.
The city center is a busy and bustling affair, but basically just cheap shops that have nothing to sell for tourists. Most parks look a bit run down, but along with the city center are fun to explore for an afternoon.
Overall I enjoyed my stay, but for sure the main highlight of my visit here was the Canyon.

Perfect hostel. Hats off.
Constantly cleaned hostel, sparkling clean everything. Air conditioning, lockers with padlocks, key to the dorm room to share with either 1 or 3 people.
Hot and cold drinkable water from dispenser, blender, microwave, stoves, cutlery. Nice and breezy dining and chilling area. Check out is at 12 but they let me chill around there no problem.
The very young girls working there are as sweet as chocolate.
Viva Mexico!!!
The atrium or central hallway of the hotel is genuinely lovely but sets a standard the rest of the experience can't quite live up to, though it's by not entirely terrible. The wifi is solid, the water gets hot, and it's quiet at night which helps with getting a good sleep. It's also well located on the central square, though it's actually nearby Parque de la Marimba that is the more bustling and welcoming at night.
Nicely decorated hotel with friendly staff. The only "issue" is, if you're a light-sleeper, you'll be awake all night. The hotel is located in a heavily traffic street. The staff says, the higher the floor the less you hear but, we were all the way to the 3rd floor and could hear every car, taxi, etc. that drove by.
Besides that, as said before, the hotel is very clean and nicely decorated.
The Hotel runs a vegan restaurant in the entrance area and in the lovely decorated lush patio. That was a big plus for me as I arrived late after a long trip and didn't wanna search for something vegan. The food was amazing, I would have loved to tried more of the menu, but had to catch an early flight the next morning.
The room was nice, but a little small.
The hotel was great for the cost of the room and also very clean and the staff really friendly and helpful at all the time.
The swimming pool good size also clean.
We were very close to the town to buy fruit or souvenirs, even to eat outside at the restaurant was safe.
The hotel restaurant the food very delicious.
We just enjoyed our stayed.
The staff was amazing to us. I hurt my back while carrying a suitcase and they helped us find a doctor really quick. They were adorable the whole time, gave us tips and recommendations on what to do nearby and were ready to help anytime. The hotel is close to the centre and the combis that drive you to the little towns like Chipas de Corzo.
Good location - close to the city center, Marimba Park, restaurants. Absolutely clean, perfect housekeeping, great service in reception. Staff absolutely helpful and always smiling. The only 3* hotel I've seen in Mexico, which really faces the standards in Europe.
The hotel is located at a mall. The room was large and very clean. My room was located at the end of a corridor, so it was quiet. An elevator ride down takes you to the mall entrance. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very cozy and clean. We loved the twist of a modern with a mexican typical vibe.❤ The staff are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Plus , the restaurant is awesome. You will definitely enjoy your stay.
Huge room with dining area. Quiet, safe and clean. Good location in the center. Nice staff, easy to find. 350 pesos to get to the airport as there are no airport hotels, so you need to factor that in.
The entrance to the hotel and common areas were really lovely. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was pleasant and modern.
