very friendly and helpful owner, comfortable and good location
On average, it costs $53 per night to book a 3-star hotel in San Carlos for tonight. You'll pay around $125 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in San Carlos will cost around $102, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
San Carlos has become a weekend party town. Lots of noise, booze and fun. You need a car to get around.
Lots of good restaurants. Blackies. Mariscos del rey. Barracuda bob’s is great for breakfast and has good wifi.

It is a friendly, safe, convenient smallish beach community of the "just right" size--with lots of activities, restaurants, beach and water sport options, shopping, entertainment, but generally rather quiet, uncrowded (except Easter time), unlike Cancun, Acapulco, etc.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful, mountains, sea, desert, has it all. Everything is reasonably priced. HOWEVER, if you want to do anything, boating, fishing, ATV, Rental it is very difficult to find information either on the internet or in person. I have visited SC a dozen or more times and have not yet been able to explore the area other than by foot. SC is perfect for seniors and the people are very friendly.

In recent times, San Carlos has developed into a premier resort. Great variety in good restaurants. Good facilities for watersports. Good special events such as the Parade of Yachts on Christmas Eve. Good live music. Very friendly people.
We have stayed at this property numerous times for both short and lengthy stays. It’s got plenty of parking if you are pulling a boat or trailer, pet friendly, the rooms are old and worn but are very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the Propery and the beach is across the street as well as an oxxo for cold drinks and snacks. The staff is friendly, helpful, efficient and speak English. We highly recommend for budget conscious travelers who also have travel standards.
I liked everything from this property it met more than my expectations, the pictures don’t do it justice of how nice it is, the property is in a great location in nice quiet neighborhood close to beach and restaurants and very nice cold Ac. The house has all that is needed to have a a comfortable stay will definitely return to this rental in the future.
The apartment had everywhere needed…it was clean…it was almost new….good wifi…very quiet. Small, but very well thought out use of space,, so works well for 2 people. The location is in a quiet local residential area…it is not close to the tourist action…which was good for our style of travel.
The room was super spacious and the view amazing, same as the bath tube outside and the warm pool (sauna was off) for a chilly day. The food was great, staff, everything! The sofa was very comfortable, great size and firm, not like many others you find in hotels.
The view here was breathtaking. The entire staff was very friendly. It was an amazing experience overall to have stayed at this place. Anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in San Carlos, book your stay here at the Suites Rubi.
The location was the best, overlooking the beach and the front desk guys were all fantastic and very accommodating. The water was perfect at the beach and in the pool. The only thing missing was an ATM.
new ownership since we were last there, still the best place to stay in san carlos, nice friendly staff, english spoken. all the rooms are toward the water and pool, nice balconies, full sized fridge
The hotel is centrally located overlooking the beautiful San Carlos marina, malecón and iconic Tetakawi Hill. Restaurants are within an easy walking distance as well as a grocery and convenient store.
The property owner/manager was very helpful and quick to respond with assistance. He was very friendly! This location is close to the beach and we walked everywhere- no worries about Uber or taxis.
This is an extremely reasonable hotel and about the only thing available in San Carlos when I booked it. The bed was very comfortable, the room very big and the location pretty centrally located
Three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The size of the unit is ample. The kitchen has all needed cooking equipment. A great alternative to spending money at a hotel and buying meals.
This place cost 2-3 times more than when I stayed in the past. It was way over-priced and really is a 2 star place. It is funny it is called a beach club when it has no beach!
