I loved that the rooms were spacious and it felt very peaceful next to the gardens. Even though there wasn't AC I felt like the fans were enough. Was in a good location and was very nice to take a break in the rooms. The owners were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Granada is a beautiful Spanish colonial classic, a must on your trip to Nicaragua. I went straight from Managua airport without staying in Managua .
I also reccomend the Volcanoe cone Appoyo, it is pristine clean water, swimming in a Volcanoe cone. My favorite cafe was the Garden Cafe delicious food and beautiful courtyard setting typical of inner city Granada

I have never seen so many rude, contemptuous residents in most of the center city. They make Parisians look like a welcoming committee. They make a habit of fleecing tourists, both our hostel front desk and a food kiosk blatantly charged us more than they were supposed to and we witnessed atrocious behavior toward other tourists. Maybe 5% of the people we interacted with were friendly.
Service was comically bad in the restaurants we visited. They have plenty of tourists, but haven't learned much in the way of hospitality yet. Grocery stores are expensive with poor selections.
Arriving into Managua was not at all bad. And we are finding San Juan del Sur a joy, although this too is fairly pricey bc of all the American and Canadian tourists. Restaurant food was much higher quality and better value, service was great and everyone has been so very friendly.
So, really, all of our bad experiences were in Granada. I have no intention of returning and don't plan to recommend it to anyone. I hope to have a chance to see more of Managua before I leave.

Granada is a bustling city with nice people.
Granada is a bustling city with nice people. We like the fact that we were close to stores, markers, banks, parks etc..
What we did not like, is that there are no street signs, and since we were driving, we got lost a few times. Also, the beach was picturesque but unfortunately it was littered with garbage everywhere. It was very disappointing.

The churches and the restaurants.
The churches and the restaurants. There was a variety of restaurants and very reasonable prices. It was easy and inexpensive to get a cab home after dinner if we did not want to walk back to the hotel.
The friendliness and hospitality of the people was amazing.

It is an old city with a lot of old historic buildings. The infrastructure definitely needs upgrading. I have heard many good things about the beach area but I did not go to the beach. There are some sketchy areas at night time. So we did not leave on foot at night. if anyone had a reason to go to Granada I would definitely recommend the Hotel Jardin De Granada.

Granada is quaint,and charming.
Its a great base to explore different venues for day trips and nice to walk around.
It was perfectly safe and outside of a few young children soliciting for $$$ it was a good experience.
Locals were absolutely helpful and the food was good. Excellent selection of dining venues.
We booked 3 rooms for our family of 5 adults and stayed for 1 night only. The hotel owner was very kind. He stayed up for our late arrival, gave us lots of useful information about Granada and stored our luggage for a few hours after checkout. The pool looked inviting but we didn't have time to use it. We paid an extra $10/room to use the air conditioner. It cooled the room well and was well worth the money. This is a clean budget hotel in a great location, available for a fair price.
We loved our stay at Casa Bubu! Yves was the most genial and welcoming host, paying such close attention to every detail. He arranged a taxi for us from the airport in Managua and greeted us warmly when we arrived even though it was after 1 a.m. Breakfast each morning was delicious — fresh juice, eggs, crepes, and homemade jam. The room and pool area were both lovely. And the three hotel cats were an added bonus. We felt like we were at home and hope to return one day!
We loved staying at El Arca de Noe. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed using the hammocks in the courtyard. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed to cook in. We booked two tours through the accommodation and were really pleased with both. The owner, Carlos, was very responsive on WhatsApp. We enjoyed the free tour around the city and learnt lots about the history of Granada. Thank you!
This was the perfect location for our Granada vacation. It was walking distance to everything in-town, and had a beautiful pool and courtyard area for lounging at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. I would recommend Casa Bubu to anyone and would definitely stay there again!
Perfect Location
Staff were really good, helpful and friendly
Room + aircon were great, in a nice building
Both breakfast options were delicious
Clean warm pool
It isn't a party hotel/hostel like some nearby slightly cheaper options, Hotel Colonial really suited us as a more tranquil base
El Arca actually is not a hotel per se. The host Carlos and his mother and sister are living there as well. Carlos is incredible knowledgeable about Granada and Nicaragua and also super friendly.
It also offers a kitchen, good WiFi, typical Nicaraguan breakfast and free drinking water!
The hotel has awesome colonial characteristics and a great inner courtyard. The room was clean and spacious and had working AC. The staff were especially friendly and helped us pick some places to explore in Granada. Overall, it's a great stay right in central Granada.
This hotel is beautiful and right in the middle of town. Walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. Nice restaurant and great staff. Had filtered water available in the lobby. Room was very spacious. Very pretty pool area. Also, great price.
The location is spectacular at an isleta close to Granada. A short car drive to the private pier with parking lot from where a short boat trip will take you to the hotel. It really reminds me of Fantasy Island with Ricardo Montalban if you are as old as I am
Excellent location in the centre of Granada .
Clean , friendly , nice pool, lots of entertainment laid on.
We are the older end of the backpacking age range but really enjoyed our stay. Something for everyone ,
Very friendly staff.
We've been a lot in Granada but this is really the best hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice pools and delicious breakfast. Location is in the middle of the city centre. Next time we will come back here for sure!
Casa Delias is located a few minutes from Granada's cathedral. It's a colonial house with a nice garden and quiet rooms. It's convenient and you can use their patio and kitchen too. The owners are really friendly.
This hotel is in Granada Nicaragua. It is located right next to the lake. If you want to be near the lake it is perfect. The lake is amazing. I love everything about this place.
The ambiance was the best! It was quiet and there was a lot of space so it did not feel crowded even with a full hotel. We loved the pool, the breakfast, and the staff.
Nice hotel in the centre of Granada, with good size rooms.
After a full day of tours under the sun, we enjoyed the access to the swimming pool until 10pm.
