We stayed for a week, me and my partner was very pleased with the hotel and we will stay there again when we go amsterdam again. The staff very friendly and helpfully and the room very nice.
The only thing was the toilet was to clos to the wall
Staff was ok and gave me better room and better deal on cancellation then booking, as my trip has changed
Left with 27 bites including 3 on face, Bed Bugs travel with me to another hotel (Madrid) where i get bitten few more time !!!
Location is great. 4 min walk from Centraal and smack dab central. Could get noisy weekends and summer. Perhaps a back room is better but you loose a front view worthy of Vermeer. Not for quiet bookish types- at edge of Red LIght district.
Hopefully they will have fixed the Wifi router. Doesn't reach the rooms always and even in main room is painfully slow
Very pleasant and helpgul staff. Always very happy to provide any assistance. Beakfeast included too!
The content of breakfast was OK but not happy at having to share a "communal table"
Constant noise from within the hotel. Rooms extremely basic. TV was out of the Ark.
Couldn't fault location, right in the middle of the hussle n bussle of The Red Light District of Amsterdam. 24hour reception. Staff Friendly.
Room was tiny! To sit on the toilet you had to sit sideways as knees hit the wall (im only 5ft5)
No elevators. Beds were sagging.
Location, odd communal breakfast
wifi very poor
I have to say that at the beginning I thought that everything was good and perfect, until the next morning of our first night sleeping there... I fount out that all my face and my neck had being bitten...it was disgusting...
It was in the central
Fake photos , awful rooms , dirty and old , the bathroom was a nightmare. The breakfast was bad
Good location. It is close to the red light attractions.comfortable bed to sleep.
No lifts in the hotel. Had to carry baggage up to 3rd floor on strap steps.high room rate!
Easy walking to train station, cheaper than most others within that short walking distance
Construction next door, drinking glasses not clean, windows single pane difficult to open and close, rattled in the wind
Our stay at this hotel was great. The room was big enough, clean and the staff very friendly. The hotel is one street back from the red light district and only a short walking distance to the central train station. The room rate came with free breakfast. We definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Great area but bare bones- no amenities- be warned. If you need amenities, pay a bit more. Owner works at cleanliness but it's an old dive of a building.
Horrid coffee. Be sure to ask for a room that doesn't overlook the street. Hotel is above a loud bar that's open until 2 and garbage trucks start at 7!
the behaviour of the hotel stuffs
Very helpful staffs, & eager to solve the problems like leakage & other matters at once.
Room size for price but I saw most rooms were different sizes it's just luck of the draw
Location, location, location!!!
Very old hotel with long winding creepy stairs. Rooms very basic & cleanliness of shower & wc not good at all. Staff not helpfull when asking for where to go & what to see, they r busy doing their own things, playing about on their phone or on the computer playing games.
location is close to Central Station
noisy, cramped and tiny rooms, wif-fi did not work in room, cluttered corridors and it was set right in the middle of the tourist area making it noisy both day and night.
It's near the Central station. Breakfast was okay.
Our room was non-smoking and on the ground floor with window facing a smoking area for hotel residents. It's hot and suffocating if we did not open the window, but needs to wait until all smokers left the smoking area. Wi-fi was very weak. No hairdryer.
the location , it was close to the train station as promised and the view of the canal The had a partner restaurant that was Indian and the food was great!
We talked to a policeman the day we left and he said this was the "not so nice" district of Amsterdam and was surprised we stayed at this hotel. I told him we booked it on line and were only staying one night. He said this is the Red Light District, we already were aware of that after walking around. The shops were all sex shops and drug shops, (pot and mushrooms etc.) The breakfast was very cheap stuff compared to other hotel breakfasts. We did not have towels in our room and had to ask twice to get some.
The location was perfect, within a 10 minute walk of central station and in the heart of the city. The breakfast was also an unusual but enjoyable experience. Included in the price, it is your standard continental breakfast but with the added quirk of all guests dining at one big table.
The quality of the rooms was poor and unclean. The bedding had cigarette burns and the walls were stained yellow. The room was dusty and the bathroom was old and had cracks in the wall and skirting board.
rough and ready
Terrible Wifi, over priced, no towels in room, would not recommend.
