I had a car so to drive from Bergen (North West part) it took roughly 1hr 45minutes. Upon arrival the host Svein was very welcoming and showed me to my private cabin and also showed me how to use the facilities (heating systems, oven, shower etc). After a bit of a rest, I was invited to the host’s home close by and I was introduced to the rest of his family (his lovely wife Mary and their son). Mary and I got on very well and had lots to talk about. That evening she had kindly made homemade pizza 🍕 for us all which I thoroughly enjoyed as it’s my favourite food 😋
The location itself was breathtaking with snowy mountains 🏔 and nature and all of its wonderful creatures. I had such a wonderful relaxing stay here and even though it was only for a short 2 night stay, it felt longer.
I would definitely revisit this location again in the near future. Everyone keeps saying to come back in spring/summer time, but I love the fresh snow ❄️ of the winter season.

The cottages and the views are very nice. The owners of the camping are absolutely wonderful - nice, caring and very accommodating. Our cottage wss facing the lake and although there is not much going around you don't need anything else if you are looking for beauty and quiet. The crowd is mostly fishing enthusiasts.
