Nizwa is truly captivating in its enchanting, ancient beauty. We had a wonderful experience in this hotel and felt transported into another time and world. Every detail in the hotel is charming and evocative of a bygone era. Wonderful.

I loved that the property was surrounded by palm trees all around. So beautiful and lots of birds singing too.
The nature around the property made it so calm and soothing!
Very close to the souq area and also the walk to/from the hotel is through the old part of Nizwa town. A very charming and nice walk through old town.
Property is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful!

Nizwa is a lovely city with lots to see however it is also central to many other towns and sights within easy drives. The highlight for me is the Friday goat market and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Nizwa.

Nizwa is a beautiful little town you need to stop by if you are venturing around in Oman. The Nizwa fort is a must. I learned a lot about the country and Nizwa by walking around and seeing the exhibition and everything else. Also in Nizwa, you have a small and cute souq. I found the prices in Nizwa lower than in Muscat, especially the saffron. If you plan on going to Muscat after Nizwa, I would also recommend buying a scarf there. I also loved the fruit market where I got to taste Halwa in different styles (something I wouldn't have dared try at a restaurant) and just the smells and atmosphere were incredible.

True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf.
True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf. Citadel is worth it and well preserved. Old souks are also real. It is a nice hub to visit the area and fort around it in Hamra, Bahla and even to go to Jabal Akhdar. strongly recommend one of the charming hotels inside the old city. Problem with Niza (like much of Oman) is that outside of nature activities, there is not much to do. no good restaurants, festivals, concerts, or places to go out to.

Very nice city, souq, castle, fort and mosque all close one to each other, so really convenient to visit them together. A lot of restaurants, bars and amenities. Qaboos mosque 10mins far from city center, it needs a car to be reached.

people ale super nice. they were talking to us, waving, asking if we are happy here and wishing us good stay. beautiful old town, gorgeous old buildings. amazing and not so priced food. in central souq prices are high, but if you go to eastern souq you can meet nice people and buy good things in great prices! there’s drinkable water on the streets for free. lots of plants in whole city. unlike many big cities, Nizwa is very walkable, you don’t need a car or taxi to explore it. highly recommended:)

Nizwa is a small yet beautiful town located at an hour and a half drive from Muscat. Drive from Muscat to Nizwa and back has breathtaking views especially during winters and people are friendly.
Trip to Nizwa Souq is a must and drive around the city is enjoyable too. Souq offers the opportunity to experience the culture and heritage of Oman and Antique shops are amazing.
For those going to Jebel Akhdar, its just 35 - 40 kms from Nizwa, depending on which part of the town you are in.
It can be just a day trip for those travelling from Muscat or a weekend retreat if someone is looking for a small break.
Overall really worth a visit.
The place is located in the historical part of town, walking distance to Nizwa fort, marketplace and goat market (open only on Fridays).
The staff was attentative and adaptable. As the parking lot is small, I parked some cars in and left the keys with them.
The room had a great vibe and an old water well as well, really cool!
The restaurant across the street serves local Omanin food and has breakfast for hotel guests. Breakfast is "European" and traditional buffet.
The facilities are great and the staff and food are fantastic. While it is a little outside Nizwa (about 20 min drive all on main roads) taxis are plentiful and can be ordered from the hotel. As a relaxing environment (the pool is huge and the two bars incredibly well presented), this is a little like an oasis for those that need a quick recharge visiting the treasure trove of cultural adventure that is Oman.
A lovely heritage house converted to a hotel with multiple rooms in the heart of Nizwa’s gorgeous old town. All staff were super hospitable and lovely. The standout person during our stay was Ibrahim - our wonderful tour guide who took us in a 4WD on a day trip to Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain). He was knowledgeable, funny and super friendly. I highly recommend booking a trip and asking for him as your guide.
The location in the centre of Nizwa. Near the souk. There was a public parking space near the hotel. The receptionist went with me and guided me through the narrow streets of Nizwa to the parking space.
The renovation of the old building into the hotel was incredible.
You can order a breakfast, which is in a nearby neighboring hotel.
It's situated in the old town, and is 2 minutes' walk from Nizwa Fort and 3 minutes' walk from the Nizwa Souq. The hotel itself is a traditional architecture. Everything is new in the hotel, so everything is spotless. Wifi works well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. From them, you can really feel the hospitality of Omani people.
Perfect location, very well maintained, clean and well equipped.
Ideal for families looking for a perfect getaway.
The pool is well maintained.
Highly recommend this place to stay if planning to visit Jebel shams and Jebel akhdar and places near Nizwa.
When we arrived the manager explained us there was some issue with AC at Omani Guest House but he gave us another hotel, with stunnig view, literally few steps from the fort of Nizwa. The room was spacious and we enjoyed a roof top restaurant.
Nizwa is truly captivating in its enchanting, ancient beauty. We had a wonderful experience in this hotel and felt transported into another time and world. Every detail in the hotel is charming and evocative of a bygone era. Wonderful.
Very clean room. We loved it. Staff very helpful and friendly big apartment with lots of space. We would certainly stay again. They gave us perfect information about trips and also about the new museum Oman across ages which is a must
Easy to find and comfortable hotel. Modern interior and nice staff. Pool was good. loads of free parking. very near to a hypermarket and shopping mall. We stayed here to explore Nizwa and then continue our travels to the mountains.
It was one of the best stays we had in Oman overall. The hotel was super clean and new, Rooms were huge and the beds sooo comfy. Hotel has swimming pool and a small gym. Seriously one of the best hotels we had, thank you.
The view was amazing right next to Nizwa fort. Rooms were clean, ready and tidy with beautiful smell. I loved the breakfast they served it was all traditional Omani food
Amazing hotel with the friendliest staff in the quaint old section of nizwa town. I especially loved the rooftop area to relax in with my book when the sun went down.
Great location with Nizwa fort view, nearby services and downtown, all attractions are within 5 minutes walk. Check in was very easy. Apartment is clean.
