Nizwa is truly captivating in its enchanting, ancient beauty. We had a wonderful experience in this hotel and felt transported into another time and world. Every detail in the hotel is charming and evocative of a bygone era. Wonderful.

I loved that the property was surrounded by palm trees all around. So beautiful and lots of birds singing too.
The nature around the property made it so calm and soothing!
Very close to the souq area and also the walk to/from the hotel is through the old part of Nizwa town. A very charming and nice walk through old town.
Property is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful!

Nizwa is a lovely city with lots to see however it is also central to many other towns and sights within easy drives. The highlight for me is the Friday goat market and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Nizwa.

Nizwa is a beautiful little town you need to stop by if you are venturing around in Oman. The Nizwa fort is a must. I learned a lot about the country and Nizwa by walking around and seeing the exhibition and everything else. Also in Nizwa, you have a small and cute souq. I found the prices in Nizwa lower than in Muscat, especially the saffron. If you plan on going to Muscat after Nizwa, I would also recommend buying a scarf there. I also loved the fruit market where I got to taste Halwa in different styles (something I wouldn't have dared try at a restaurant) and just the smells and atmosphere were incredible.

True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf.
True old walled city unlike any other in the Gulf. Citadel is worth it and well preserved. Old souks are also real. It is a nice hub to visit the area and fort around it in Hamra, Bahla and even to go to Jabal Akhdar. strongly recommend one of the charming hotels inside the old city. Problem with Niza (like much of Oman) is that outside of nature activities, there is not much to do. no good restaurants, festivals, concerts, or places to go out to.

Very nice city, souq, castle, fort and mosque all close one to each other, so really convenient to visit them together. A lot of restaurants, bars and amenities. Qaboos mosque 10mins far from city center, it needs a car to be reached.

people ale super nice. they were talking to us, waving, asking if we are happy here and wishing us good stay. beautiful old town, gorgeous old buildings. amazing and not so priced food. in central souq prices are high, but if you go to eastern souq you can meet nice people and buy good things in great prices! there’s drinkable water on the streets for free. lots of plants in whole city. unlike many big cities, Nizwa is very walkable, you don’t need a car or taxi to explore it. highly recommended:)

Nizwa is a small yet beautiful town located at an hour and a half drive from Muscat. Drive from Muscat to Nizwa and back has breathtaking views especially during winters and people are friendly.
Trip to Nizwa Souq is a must and drive around the city is enjoyable too. Souq offers the opportunity to experience the culture and heritage of Oman and Antique shops are amazing.
For those going to Jebel Akhdar, its just 35 - 40 kms from Nizwa, depending on which part of the town you are in.
It can be just a day trip for those travelling from Muscat or a weekend retreat if someone is looking for a small break.
Overall really worth a visit.
Great location in the heart of Nizwa! The room has an amazing view of the Nizwa Fort. The room itself (not the bathroom) was nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some problems with noise from construction work, but the staff made sure that the next morning the noise would not start too early.
There is a nice restaurant in the same building (not part of the hotel) where you get a discount as a hotel guest.
Despite some small problems we had a nice time here and would still come back to this hotel.
The hotel has all amenities and recreation,,, Overall the hotel is very nice, starting with the reception staff who were very friendly in dealing and providing the room more than an hour before the check in time, as well as the time of check out as well.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable,,, the hotel facilities such as garden, children's play area, swimming pool,,,,, etc.
The restaurant and the diversity in eating and drinking with the presence of coffee and Omani dates,,,
The place is located in the historical part of town, walking distance to Nizwa fort, marketplace and goat market (open only on Fridays).
The staff was attentative and adaptable. As the parking lot is small, I parked some cars in and left the keys with them.
The room had a great vibe and an old water well as well, really cool!
The restaurant across the street serves local Omanin food and has breakfast for hotel guests. Breakfast is "European" and traditional buffet.
Everything was amazing. Located in the heart of old Nizwa, next to the Souq and Nizwa Forth. Very clean, traditional Omani rooms and amazing service! Big thanks to Mr. Amir from reception, who made our stay unforgettable with his kindness. He upgraded us to bigger room because we were with 2 little ones and was always there to assist if needed, with a worm, friendly smile! Property itself looks like little oasis with very visitors such as ducks and bunnies.
The accommodation was nice, old Omani style, clean and in the heart of old Nizwa.
The staff are nice, friendly and helpful. We arrived early, after a long overnight flight and 2 hours' drive. The staff allowed us to check in a couple of hours early which was great as we were exhausted and badly needed to get some rest. The accommodation has a nice swimming pool and is located beside a cool little Caffè.
The breakfast, buffet style was nice and plentiful.
Nizwa is an incredible city and worth a visit. This hotel is excellently located - although there is no designated parking they did guide me to an off-street space they have which they let me park in. I had recently proposed and the staff went above and beyond to surprise my girlfriend with some romantic lights, rose petals and heart shaped towels. The owner is a talented water colour painter and we purchased one as a souvenir of Nizwa.
Very good location away from the city noise and yet on the main road between Nizwa and Bahla cities, you can find some restaurants with delivery and takeaway options nearby. Friendly staff and super clean room, temperature-controlled pool, and nice villa design. If you want better prices than booking.com, contact the hotel directly. I have booked at a much cheaper price directly than booking.com!

Property is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful!
Charming and clean hotel 3 mins walk from Nizwa fort and souk. Design was a stunning tribute to the local architecture, with all the modern comforts (great A/C, many charging ports, modern bathroom, hairdryer, toiletries and coffee) very thoughtfully supplied. The attention to every detail here was incredible. Great dining options and a supermarket nearby too.
Richland House feels like a hidden oasis located in the middle of Nizwa. When the gate opens, you will immediately feel at ease. Our host was very welcoming and made us feel at home! We stayed for two nights which was a welcoming rest during our roadtrip through Oman and enough time to explore all that Nizwa has to offer. Highly recommended!
This was the third time visiting Nizwa and the third time in the Golden Tulip. The location is great (20 mins from Nizwa fort) and the hotel is also great (especially the swimming pool overlooking the Jabal al Akhdar mountains). Also, the dinner buffet by the pool was as great as we remembered. Thanks for another enjoyable stay!
Omani house hotel offers the experience of staying in a traditional house in the heart of Nizwa. The location is central next to Nizwa souq, a beautiful surrounding of traditional Omani town. The host Ali is fantastic and very accommodating, making you feel welcomed and comfortable. Looking forward to come back
What a terrific hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room a good size and with excellent facilities, the pool lovely, the restaurant food good and a decent price. I was surprised to see alcohol was available and at a good price for Oman.
Beautiful stay in Nizwa with a real Omani feel. The room was cosy, comfortable and beautifully styled. The sunrise and sunset view from the rooftop terrace was gorgeous. Breakfast was good and also the pool setting was really cool.
Rooms very very neat, place very spacious. 2 bathrooms was definitely a huge plus. Communications qith the manager very good with some extra information about Nizwa and attractions nearby. Great value for money.
This guesthouse is a little oasis close to Nizwa city center, very quiet, cosy traditional Omani apartment, spacious garden and nice terrace with good breakfast
The location very good, near to nizwa souq and nizwa fort, room so clean smell so good and staff mr.anwar very friendly ... We will come back again next time
Great location with Nizwa fort view, nearby services and downtown, all attractions are within 5 minutes walk. Check in was very easy. Apartment is clean.
