Nazca, Peru, a land of mysteries and wonders, left me utterly spellbound. The trifecta of Cahuachi, the Nazca Lines, and Cantalloc made my journey truly unforgettable.
Cahuachi, the ancient ceremonial center, immersed me in the enigmatic world of the Nazca culture. The sight of the towering adobe pyramids and the sacred plazas spoke volumes about their sophisticated civilization.
The Nazca Lines, those intricate geoglyphs etched into the desert floor, were a sight to behold from the scenic flight. The colossal shapes of animals and geometrical figures sparked my imagination, leaving me in awe of the artistic prowess of an ancient civilization.
In Cantalloc, the awe-inspiring underground aqueduct system showcased the ingenious engineering skills of the Nazca people. Venturing into the subterranean channels and witnessing their advanced water management techniques was nothing short of remarkable.
Throughout my stay, the warmth and friendliness of the locals made me feel at home. I savored authentic Peruvian delicacies, including delicious ceviche, which heightened the cultural experience.
Nazca is a place that transcends time and captivates the soul. It offers a unique blend of history, mystery, and culture. If you have a thirst for exploration and a fascination with ancient civilizations, Nazca is a destination that will leave you awestruck and yearning for more.

Flight over the Nazca lines was amazing and Desert adventure tours. I had a dinner at Nazca retrobar that was so good I came back the next day for lunch. Interesting history and a nice little bustling city, friendly people. I arrived at 2am and felt safe walking the three blocks to the hotel!

Went on a Nazca lines flight this morning and it was brilliant, had a great lunch at Nazca Retrobar and a couple of Mojitos, after an afternoon nap, I explored the bustling town of Nazca, saw the markets, shops, parks and had a nice dinner at El Porton. Nice place to spend a couple of days.

Right now, the beginning of March, is the hot season, the days are typically 32/33/35 degrees C, so be prepared for hot days. You'll definitely want a wide-brimmed hat, maybe one with the cover flap that protects the back of your neck, and sunscreen.
Nazca is a nice little town, the streets are generally cleaner than most of the coastal towns I've visited in both Ecuador and Peru. There are a few nice parks, at least 4 coffee shops (one had a broken espresso machine), a couple of minimarkets for groceries (no supermarket though). There is construction happening along the river at this time.
I like Nazca and would definitely return if and when the chance arises.

There's a lot to see in Nazca on the archeological side (the Nasca civilization) but most of it is a few kilometers away. So you need to think of taxis (there are lots and they're not expensive) or tours. Antonini museum is interesting as is the nightly talk in the Planetarium hotel.
Nasca is not a big town but the atmosphere is friendly and I felt safe there.

Yes, taking a flight over the Nasca lines is worth it.
Yes, taking a flight over the Nasca lines is worth it. We had concerns about safety and read quite a bit before we decided who to fly with and our hotel also happened to have links with the company. I now wish we had done the longer trip, but I might have thought otherwise if our flight hadn't haven been very smooth. While the town is no Cusco or Arequippa there's enough to do closeby for a couple of days.
Nice hostel that can go for a 2 star hotel (or even 3 star depending on what your definition of a 3 star hotel is). Very clean. In a recently constructed building. Run by a family. Offers breakfast at reasonable prices. A family member also works at Aeronasca. Make sure to arrange a Nazca Lines flight with him. I needed parking and they provided it for me. Also, respond to messages and inquiries very efficiently.
Perfect location next door to Mom's Cafe (the Peru Hop meeting point) and the Cruz del Sur bus terminal. The hotel courtyard is spacious, with a pool and large dining area. Enjoyed having a table and chairs outside my room. Breakfast was good. Loved all the fresh fruit. Reception staff were professional, pleasant, and helpful. Very comfortable stay.
Super friendly host! We were able to check-in late after a late bus and were able to use the room after check-out time for a small additional fee.
He also gave us recommendations of how to visit the Nazca lines on our own using public transport.
Room was good with ensuite bathroom.
Location is very close to most bus companies (5min walk).
Extremely nice owner, I was actually sick from the flight and she went beyond to support me.
Rooms and bathroom are spacious, clean and have what you need. The room had fan and AC even though I didn't need to use either.
There is basic breakfast on request, but the hotel has a nice location, 2 blocks of main street with many restaurants.
super nice hotel, the best was the planetarium, which is in the hotel area! They explained us in there everything about the Nasca lines and how they could be linked to the stars and the history of them.
room was clean, breakfast buffet was nice, pool super good to relax.
thank you again for the nice stay
Nice and well located family run hotel not far from the main square. Clean room and very friendly staff. Julio is awesome and a perfect guide, he drove us trough an amazing tour of Cahuachi site and Nazca heritage!! We really felt like friends more than hosts.
I liked this hotel. The location was great. There were quite a few restaurants around in the area. Plaza de Armas was a few blocks away. Breakfast was awesome! Front desk staff was friendly. It was quite spacious.
Very confortable hotel near everything in Nasca. the staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was delicious. They also set me up with tours with Julio César who was fantastic
The hotel is very big and well kept, we love the ping-pong table and the swimming pool! There is a planetarium in the facility I only wished that we knew about it.
Nice little hotel, the owner organized my Nasca Lines flights and it was cheaper than with the agencies, clean room and bed was comfortable, good value for price
Well-located near the center and bus station, small room but is good enough for a short stay to see Nazca. Owners were helpful trying to help me book tours.
