With a rich mix of influences from Indian, Chinese, Spanish and American cultures, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic center. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonization, Manila became an important city, known as the "Pearl of the Orient."
Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.
Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila “The City of Our Affections,” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.
Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.
For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City.

Location is perfect , cheaper hotel I think is much better coz they are providing slippers and hair dryer for free, there’s regular cleaning , the drainage in the bathroom is getting full so easily, if someone is talking or walking in the corridor it’s reflecting inside the room and it’s disturbing !

For single men first time in Philippines, I suggest you take a bus to Angeles City. Manila is a huge city and heavy traffic jam everywhere, kinda stressed and annoyed if you stay in the city. Some hotel don't have sound proof system.

I had previously lived in Manila for 20 plus years.
I had previously lived in Manila for 20 plus years. It's a city that I am very familiar with and feel very comfortable being there, whether dining, going to theatre's or other events, visiting friends, etc.
the service is fantastic. In general i really don’t like in Manila because I find it very noisy and crowded but this hotel makes me feel good of the city. it was very convenient going to LTO main office and stone away from many malls. My children loved the pool and little playground and I like how clean it is. If we return in the Philippines, i will surely book at this hotel again. Going to the airport using Toll Highway is pretty fast too. Overall, I highly rated this hotel. thank you
The hotel is conveniently located close to the Manila international airport. We booked it for this reason because we didn't want to deal with the notoriously horrendous Manila traffic to get to/from the airport. We only stayed for one night and it served its purpose and also easy on the budget. We really didn't need anything fancy as it was the tail end of our 1 1/2 month trip. It is also walkable to the SM Mall of Asia which is a bonus.
I use this hotel several times a year. It is a very good value, budget hotel. The rooms are large, clean and very well equipped, having a kettle a rice maker a microwave oven and a fridge. I was in a different room to my usual one and was pleased it had a slightly thicker matress, which made the bed comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The area isn't great but it's fairly close to all Manila airport terminals.
This year we chose U Hotel to be our base while in Manila as we travel around Philippines. We've done this a number of times, and have used different Makati hotels as our base; U Hotel has been our favorite so far! The rooms are nice, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is wonderful, the price is very reasonable, and the location is awesome. Our group of two couples will stay at the hotel in the future for sure!
