With a rich mix of influences from Indian, Chinese, Spanish and American cultures, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic center. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonization, Manila became an important city, known as the "Pearl of the Orient."
Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.
Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila “The City of Our Affections,” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.
Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.
For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City.

The location was fine because its connected to the mall, the staffs was so attractive. Specially Eric who reserved me Taho and ice English breakfast Tea every morning. The food was nice but I only enjoyed the garlic rice and the maindish . The problem is the refilling of the food was very late , they dont think that there are still guests will eat at 8:30 am .
The room was clean and I stayed in high level,But the MUSTY smell was every everywhere, the lobby smells very nice , but when take the lift , the musty smells started, I read some reviews but I didn’t read anything about the musty smells so I presumed that the musty smells is not present.
They transferred me in premium room at first it smells nice sweet smell but as i stayed in the room for haft day , the musty smells is there , so i decided to buy my own electric deodorizer.
I stayed there for 8 days but my whole vacation was ruined by Musty smells .
The building was so old they need to renovate . Change the carpet.
I will not recommend the hotel .

I think my experience of Manila is unfortunately a sad one, the people have been very unfriendly to me. They pretend to not understand me, frequently ignore me no matter where I go with my Fiancé. I will try to get a taxi and say "Little Baguio Terrace" after three cabs just look at me confused; I just walked the 1.5 miles to where I was staying. If we are eating in a restaurant I will start ordering and they talk to me 100% in Tagalog, and I tell them I don't understand, and they start talking to my Fiancé. If I'm busy talking with my soon to be stepdaughter, or even my fiancé they just start talking to her and ignore me. Manila is not English speaking friendly no matter what the internet says.

There was nothing in Manila at Makati I enjoyed I thought the people were arrogant a bunch of liars and the older people were very rude. Here in the United States we try to respect other nationalities you won't get that in Manila you're treated like a stranger that they would like to see leave as soon as possible I would never go back there

Manila is a steamy, claustrophobic city that is both dirty and chaotic. In fact it is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Avoid going in the hotter months, as anything outside is impossible. There is nothing of any great repute to see, and unless you live there or have friends there it is difficult to know the best places to eat or spend time at. My suggestion would be to skip Manila and fly onto one of the many islands

Manila is a bustling city with a lot of people.
Manila is a bustling city with a lot of people. Lot's of nice hotels and places to visit. Nice food scene with many different types of restaurants to choose from. Plenty of cabs to get around quickly.
Firstly cheaper price. Hotel very near to Taft Ave main road. Walking distance 5 minutes to Taft Ave or Pedro street. Easy to get jeepney to town Near to Manila Bay Beach around 20 mins walking distance. About the room, little bit small room with 1DB n 1BB.it's clean, aircond and water heater working, t.v and wardrobe. Customer service was good. My room at ground floor Infront of street road. Overall nice stay. For Muslim can buy food at Muslim restaurant around 1.5km (g/map) or Quiapo town.
As a guest who has visited all four and five star hotels in Makati during many stays in Manila, I have to say that in my opinion the Sommerset central stands out among these good hotels. Of course, every rating depends on personal preferences, but I particularly like this hotel too because of the friendliness of the staff. In general, employees in the Philippines try far more to be helpful than in many other countries. but in the summer set Central they are slightly surpassed
hotel is very close to Terminal 3 of Manila Airport, just opposite, boz our plane arrived in the early morning on T1, it takes us about 20 mins by grab via skyway to hotel, which is also conference. The hotel is in an apartment, which has a floor of rooms for rent, and the appliances in the room are fully equipped. As a transit hotel, it can provide a better rest, we have a good rest, and it is convenient to buy things boz there is a market locating left besides the hotel.
The best part of I’M Hotel is its staff. Everyone from the doormen to the front desk, the dining folks, room service, housekeeping, and the team at the rooftop bar were welcoming, warm, and professional.
We loved the bathtub with its floor to ceiling windows and the sweeping views of Manila. The cityscape at night and sunrise were gorgeous.
We ordered room service twice and the food was really tasty. The portions were unexpectedly enormous.
There is no better place to stay in Manila. I have stayed at many hotels in Manila and alabang over the years, Okada by far offers the best place to stay, there are many excellent hotels around the area but Okada offers so much more, lively casino, many shops in the compound, you can spend an entire vacation with your family at Okada and never leave the compound, everything you need right there. I will be spending my next visits at the Okada.
Customer service was on point. They were quick to respond through email and messages. Especially with my special request. I would recommend them to anyone coming through to manila. Even upon check out they still allowed me to use the hotel WiFi as my flight is at night and I still had hours left before check in at the airport. Great job to all the staff from airport pick up right through to all the departments. Thank you so much Team.
Belmont hotel is close to the airport. You just have to go to the runway manila bridge to reach it so easy. The staff are really lovely. We were able to check in early which was really good because I was traveling with a 4 year old. Rooms are clean and the price is very reasonable. We check out really early the next day around 2m due to an early flight. They were able to organise breakfast for take away. I really appreciate that.
One day before I booked a secure booking when my flight araived at Manila airport I took taxi to Stay cation Gate mane not allowed me in he say proseger to go in not complete 15 days before pay on line security deposit how it possible there is no one helping hand so I can not able to get again I took taxi to near another hotel after 4 hours I took tics to Germany so bad day I became sick how I take my money
The hotel is located in the prestigious Makati district. Shopping centers and supermarkets are within walking distance, there is a party street nearby. The rooms fully correspond to the description and photos, great staff ready to help! I recommend it to everyone for the duration of small connections in Manila, half an hour to the airport without traffic jams! You can pay with a Union pay card!
We are upset with our stay in Manila Hotel, they don't have a good customer service, hotel don't have telephone it's really hard to contact the reception for our needs, facilities is not good re: no remote for Airton, TV not working, cabinet has problem, no dryers & swimming pool is dirty.
like the breakfast, Lunch & dinner buffet . one of the best we’ve seen in Asia . A lot of varieties from Japanese , Chinese , European. And the hotel service and pool was just amazing . I got the room with pool and seaview . it was lovely this my prefered hotel in Manila .
The place was clean and comfy. Basic amenities are available. It is near enough to the airport and close to most places to visit in Manila. Check-in was easy and quick. The place also had the accessibility of most hotels but with much more value for your money.
It was so comfortable, They provided us with good care and convenience during our stay in Manila. It had a great outside view, The staff were respectful. It was overall, A good hotel. I overall, Recommend going there if you are planning to be at Manila.
Great hotel in Makati, we stayed one night after arriving in Manila (it is 15 minutes from the airport). The room was very large and clean and had a beautiful view on the city. Helpful staff. The breakfast was extremely good! I would choose it again!
Fair offer if you are looking for an option to stay one night close to the airport and avoid the Manila traffic. You can reach the hotel by foot from the international terminal using the pedestrian overpass.
This is a great clean hotel for overnight transit travelers to Manila Airport. Its not a fancy hotel to spend weeks in. it is a lot better than the other options and well maintained and nice
Stayed for 2 nights in transit through Manila going south and north. A good value hotel that the local taxis could take us to.
Staff helpful and friendly though we had little time there
Very good breakfast buffet, above average and better than 4 star hotels in Metro Manila.
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Staff are mostly friendly and courteous.
It was close to the airport which was convenient for us. The room and hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again for passing through Manila.
