Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Manila

A 2-minute drive from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Terminal 3) and located within Newport World Resorts, Holiday Inn Express Manila Newport City offers air-conditioned rooms and apartments.

I like the fact that the location is close to the airport. Nearby shops and resto. Front and back entrances and lobby are well monitored for security. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Good choices of breakfast food and beverages selection available. Much to be said to improve and provide decent good coffee. I enjoy and appreciate the convenience of having the 24-7 bar opening for late check-in hang out. All day menu selection available. Burger, grilled salmon, lechon kawali a must have and recommended. Proportionally and deliciously prepared. Great job chef and staff.

FAQs about hotels in Manila

The City of Our Affections

With a rich mix of influences from Indian, Chinese, Spanish and American cultures, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic center. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonization, Manila became an important city, known as the "Pearl of the Orient."

Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.

Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila “The City of Our Affections,” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.

Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.

For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City.

I think my experience of Manila is unfortunately a sad one,...

I think my experience of Manila is unfortunately a sad one, the people have been very unfriendly to me. They pretend to not understand me, frequently ignore me no matter where I go with my Fiancé. I will try to get a taxi and say "Little Baguio Terrace" after three cabs just look at me confused; I just walked the 1.5 miles to where I was staying. If we are eating in a restaurant I will start ordering and they talk to me 100% in Tagalog, and I tell them I don't understand, and they start talking to my Fiancé. If I'm busy talking with my soon to be stepdaughter, or even my fiancé they just start talking to her and ignore me. Manila is not English speaking friendly no matter what the internet says.

There was nothing in Manila at Makati I enjoyed I thought the people were arrogant a bunch of liars and the older people were very rude. Here in the United States we try to respect other nationalities you won't get that in Manila you're treated like a stranger that they would like to see leave as soon as possible I would never go back there

Manila is a steamy, claustrophobic city that is both dirty and chaotic. In fact it is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Avoid going in the hotter months, as anything outside is impossible. There is nothing of any great repute to see, and unless you live there or have friends there it is difficult to know the best places to eat or spend time at. My suggestion would be to skip Manila and fly onto one of the many islands

It is the best location if you need to stay in Manila for 1 night before or after you flight to the islands. There is a bridge to the airport next to the hotel. You can reach terminal 3 in literally 5 minutes walk and there are a lot of restaurants, shops where you can grab some food. We also had a dinner in the hotel restaurant-very reasonable prices, very tasty and the portions are rather big. And I liked to swimming pool on the rooftop-it is not very big, it is more about chilling , but you will definitely enjoy it

I use this hotel several times a year. It is a very good value, budget hotel. The rooms are large, clean and very well equipped, having a kettle a rice maker a microwave oven and a fridge. I was in a different room to my usual one and was pleased it had a slightly thicker matress, which made the bed comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The area isn't great but it's fairly close to all Manila airport terminals.

This year we chose U Hotel to be our base while in Manila as we travel around Philippines. We’ve done this a number of times, and have used different Makati hotels as our base; U Hotel has been our favorite so far! The rooms are nice, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is wonderful, the price is very reasonable, and the location is awesome. Our group of two couples will stay at the hotel in the future for sure!

The check-in process was easy, the staff was very accommodating, and they ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENT :). Good AC. Fridge inside the room. Bars and entertainment spots in walikg distance. Beds are spacious and comfy. Ample rooms with a high ceiling (which i like against the new fancy hotel rooms which are tiny space and low ceiling). I like their historic relationship to the nearby AyalaTriangle, which was the runway of former Manila Airport, in the 1930-ies.
