Weather, cleanliness, amenities of capital city, road infrastrucure, plenty of guest houses and hotels of all range. Many places to visit, tracking sites, parks and shopping locations. May be a bit expensive and less lively if compared with Lahore or Karachi.

Islamabad, for me, offers a great opportunity for a few days stop-over on the way to other more interesting places in Pakistan, for example, the magnificent Northern area (Hunza, Gilgit, Chitral, etc.). The Faisal Mosque, the Pakistan Monuments and nearby parks, are some of the more popular places to visit while in Islamabad. In addition, there are some really good restaurants, such as the Monal on the Margala Hills which offers a good scenery of the city, especially at night.

Many options if you are travelling with kids to see around,...
Many options if you are travelling with kids to see around, some notable places could be ( depending on how old your kids are ) : Bahria Enclave Zoo and Aviary, Rawal Lake, Daaman-e-Koh, Monal Restaurant, Giga Mall, Centaurus Mall, Faisal Masjid, Museum, Food Street and ofcourse Murree is just an hour of so away. The roads are super busy during working hours, and some roadwork around Express Highway approaching towards GT Road, will add some to the nuisance, but overall the Islamabad and sorrounding is a very nice place to visit around this time of the year. The lush green sidewalks, abundunt green areas and a misty weather is a nice experience.

Islamabad is a pretty, green and very clean city with lots of natural beauty within reach. Public transport is practically non-existent (like most of Pakistan), but if you have a car, you can drive to lots of nice picnic spots and restaurants on the nearby hills. A decent dining out scene is emerging but hasn't caught up yet with the mega-cities of Lahore and Karachi. There are lots of hiking and biking trails as well. Unfortunately, due to a large number of diplomats residing there, short and long accommodation is expensive.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10am. They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Islamabad. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever.
I really loved how absolutely clean and comfortable our family suite was! Also very private and secure! The best part about staying here is that even though it's a bit far from the main islamabad area, it provides you with all the amenities. There is a food court, a shopping mall and a supermarket all in the hotel! The staff is amazing and very helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to relax in luxury!
Omg what a place this is, the hotel is at a high standard, I craved the comfortable cleanliness and hot water from his hotel when I left, you won't find it anywhere else! The hotel is like being at home with family, everyone was so cozy and happy here. It was a unique stay for sure. The staff - I truly feel inspired after staying here. Best hotel in Pakistan
Airport pick up was organized really quickly and the drop off was very quick and smooth, had food facilities and online cab service was working really smooth, they use indriver instead of uber here in Islamabad, they offer really great rates for such a great service, the prices are really low for such a wonderful guest house stay and free pick and drop
Best place to stay with your family. The location is ideal and you can go to places. It gives you a luxury and comfortable experience. The best guest house in Islamabad. Each and everything is perfect was supper in dream in guest house very clean place and Homey feel to the place. High Quality Services and management behaviour also good.
I am glad nowadays Pakistani hospitable sector is progressing towards providing quality service. I have booked this place for my family and I am glad everything went smooth and right. I had a constant contact with hotel through booking.com chat and they were quick to respond. I would suggest this place for sure!!
This hotel is very well maintained and clean. it’s very modern inside. Comfort was top level. I am Australian and visit Pakistan regularly. This will be my go to place in Islamabad. The staff are very friendly and you can tell they care a lot about their visitors. I would highly recommend.
Professional staff and very welcoming. The room was correct and spacious. The location is perfct to visit around the touristic spots. The guest house is safe night and day by guards. The breakfast was correct, enough in my opinion. I recommend this hotel if you stay in Islamabad.
I really liked the quality of pillows and mattress in Serena Islamabad. PC Rawalpindi has worst mattress and pillows I ever slept on in any hotel. Staff is very courteous and cooperative. Hotel ambiance was nice. Breakfast was good but I think should have little more choices:
It was a well decorated room with great facilities including a very luxurious Ensuite. The location of the property was an added bonus situated on the prestigious Embassy Road making it very safe. Nearby you had the Serena Hotel as well as many other amenities.
There services were very quick I was very comfortable as there ambience is best for Family it's one of the secure place around the Islamabad, fast wifi they provided space to my driver without charging extra.everything in hotel premises was just like home,
I was pleasantly surprised by this amazing hotel which was more like a guest house..The cleanliness was amazing rooms were spacious food quality was good and staff was very polite and cooperative..Definitely going to stay again whenever I come to Islamabad
nothing at all staff is very rude and will not ever recommend this hotel to anyone, misleading advertising and outrageous behaviour from the office manager as it was my first trip to Pakistan with my wife who is an English national and was shocked
Very nice place, organized, new, and the stuff are so friendly, also nice location there is a big market few steps away from it and it’s also near to the blue area which has several restaurants , was comfortable there as a female solo traveller
The location of this Hotel is very good in the heart 💓of islamabad. also buffet breakfast was very nice and staff attitude was good and friendly.🤵 view from my room was excellent
Room service was also good 👍
i had a brilliant time at IVY house, the facilities were good and it was in a great location for getting to both Rawalpindi and Islamabad. WI-FI is excellent and Ramiz was a perfect host.
Best location very close and located inside a safe society on the outskirts of Islamabad. Had all the things we required. Hot water, Heater, Clean rooms, best place for a family stay
