Weather, cleanliness, amenities of capital city, road infrastrucure, plenty of guest houses and hotels of all range. Many places to visit, tracking sites, parks and shopping locations. May be a bit expensive and less lively if compared with Lahore or Karachi.

Islamabad, for me, offers a great opportunity for a few days stop-over on the way to other more interesting places in Pakistan, for example, the magnificent Northern area (Hunza, Gilgit, Chitral, etc.). The Faisal Mosque, the Pakistan Monuments and nearby parks, are some of the more popular places to visit while in Islamabad. In addition, there are some really good restaurants, such as the Monal on the Margala Hills which offers a good scenery of the city, especially at night.

Many options if you are travelling with kids to see around,...
Many options if you are travelling with kids to see around, some notable places could be ( depending on how old your kids are ) : Bahria Enclave Zoo and Aviary, Rawal Lake, Daaman-e-Koh, Monal Restaurant, Giga Mall, Centaurus Mall, Faisal Masjid, Museum, Food Street and ofcourse Murree is just an hour of so away. The roads are super busy during working hours, and some roadwork around Express Highway approaching towards GT Road, will add some to the nuisance, but overall the Islamabad and sorrounding is a very nice place to visit around this time of the year. The lush green sidewalks, abundunt green areas and a misty weather is a nice experience.

Islamabad is a pretty, green and very clean city with lots of natural beauty within reach. Public transport is practically non-existent (like most of Pakistan), but if you have a car, you can drive to lots of nice picnic spots and restaurants on the nearby hills. A decent dining out scene is emerging but hasn't caught up yet with the mega-cities of Lahore and Karachi. There are lots of hiking and biking trails as well. Unfortunately, due to a large number of diplomats residing there, short and long accommodation is expensive.
I recently stayed at jacaranda family club hotel located in DHA Islamabad and I was thoroughly impressed by exquisite interior and the impeccable service of this hotel.
Everything was just perfect.
Staff was so helpful and friendly,
Rooms, location, facilities, food, interior
attention to detail were immaculate
Overall it was a great experience.
Now i wouldn't dream of staying anywhere other than this hotel whenever I’m in Islamabad or nearby area.
The Room Given to me was extraordinarily large and exceeded my expectations. They upgraded my room to a larger one without me having to ask them. I enjoyed the Blue area views from 2 directions which was really mesmerizing. The room was clean and filled with all the amenities . The staff was extremely cooperative and helpful and understood the needs of the Visitor. Highly recommended for a stay in Islamabad.
I visited this hotel for the first time because it's new and I really liked it. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was polite and helpful. The best part is that the hotel is in a central location, close to restaurants and shops. It only took me 15 minutes to get to the airport for my late-night flight. I recommend this hotel for families and will definitely come back.
Located at F8; one of the most beautiful, calm and serene localities of Islamabad. Few minutes walk from F8 Markaz, and few minutes drive from key attractions of Islamabad such as Shah Faisal Mosque, Centaurus Mall etc. The staff is very cooperative, the room was neat and clean, the washroom was vast and clean. Of course the rates are extremely reasonable. Excellent value for money.
It's a guest house in a wonderful location in central Islamabad. We were given a free upgrade to their king suite, which was a huge room with a dining table and sofa. Having two airconditioners in one room during the height of summer was very welcome. The staff were very accommodative to our requests. The reception was manned 24/7, so it was easy to request anything we wanted.
The vibe of this hotel is great! It's nicely designed and you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast really is as good as everyone says. The hotel is in a very clean area located right next to several food options that are all open until at least 12am, including Chinese, Pakistani, pizza and more. I would stay here again next time I'm in Islamabad.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting . He was always there to guide us 24/7 and was very friendly. This apartment is definitely going to be my choice to stay whenever I will visit Islamabad. The view, environment and the service is worth the money.

From check in to check out my experience was absolutely amazing and the location was great. Very close to airport. Staff were extremely kind and polite. Should I go to Pakistan again I would definitely stay in this hotel and I definitely recommend this for couples and families. Bonus- The breakfast was super delicious.
I really liked the quality of pillows and mattress in Serena Islamabad. PC Rawalpindi has worst mattress and pillows I ever slept on in any hotel. Staff is very courteous and cooperative. Hotel ambiance was nice. Breakfast was good but I think should have little more choices:
The hotel manager shahid khan is a very humble and cooperative person, kind and respectful , visiting Pakistan first time and the experience without gateway is awesome’ rooms are neat and clean with super fast internet….
Room was bigger than most hotels booked in Pakistan. Very hospitable staff and provided us with complimentary snacks, cakes and drinks on arrival. I would recommend this hotel and would book again, probably directly.
