A beautiful small town that retains that medieval feel. There are quite a few attractions and museums, but many are a bit overpriced for what little is inside them. The gingerbread is amazing, the many choices of restaurants is welcome, and everything is within a very short walking distance. There is quite a bit of live music too, from jazz to punk, that can be found in the many small bars and venues in the town. Toruń is definitely a great place to stop for a night or two.

I visit Torun regularly as I have family there. It's a gorgeous old town but quite small. Many different museums etc and the planetarium is a must. A very wide selection of restaurants and other food related outlets. People very helpful. River promenade is usually gorgeous but there was some major work going on in July when I visited last and that hadn't been completed this visit ( Nov) so the river view wasn't as spectacular as in the past. In July, I chose a hotel with a river view which was actually a waste of money as the view was spoiled by the work. This time I went for a more central hotel and had a view of the stunning top of the gingerbread museum. The architecture in Torun is spectacular. One of my favourite places which I would still visit even if I didn't have family nearby. Be aware that as Torun is old, many of the traditional hotels don't have lifts! Not easy to carry a large or heavy suitcase upstairs in some hotels!! Excellent public transport links to other towns and a huge out of town shopping complex at Rubinkowo. Driving is usually straightforward as the city is well signposted but the promenade works have caused some road closures.karenUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Absolutely charming little town. We were inspired to visit it after reading Schatten der Welt, which took place there. Super clean, friendly, amazing restaurants everywhere. Huge pedestrian zones. Beautifully restored. Puts Berlin to shame.HeidiGermany - 10Scored 10

Torun has plenty of interesting architecture and history to explore. Also, lots of great restaurants and pastry/coffee shops. It's small enough to get in and out of quickly. Also, not taken over by tourists yet. The locals' festivals and traditional celebrations are easy to join and enjoy.

It is an Historic old city which has a huge range of genuine old buildings (as against restored after WWII). The majority are gathered inside the old town and are all accessible by walking about. The old town is largely traffic free except for access traffic - no through traffic. Gingerbread - the speciality of the town

The reception gentleman was really welcoming and friendly, and when I saw the room I was happy. It wasn’t as big as the room I had previously occupied, in another hotel, but it was sufficient, and attractive. Nice modern design. The room gave a feeling of security and reliability that is important when you’re travelling, and I think it’s worth not getting the cheaper option to get that, of you can, and it’s your priority.

I would recommend it to everyone. There is a parking space in front of the apartment which you can use to unpack your things and then you need to move your car to underground parking which is in the next street. It is definitely cleanest apartment among many that we visited in Poland

The main railway station is a bit further from the city centre as someone would expect, but buses go every few minutes and on the bus it's just 4 minutes away to one of the two transfer points on the city's public transport network (Plac Rapackiego). Overall – I can really recommend this hotel if you're going to Toruń on rail.
