HADIL

I I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the poor handling of my cancellation request at the Sheraton Makkah Hotel. I had booked a reservation at your esteemed establishment, but due to unforeseen weather issues in Dubai, I had no choice but to cancel my booking.
I have been attempting to reach out to the hotel through various channels, including emails and private messages on the booking app, in order to request a waiver of the cancellation fee. However, to my utter dismay, I have not received any response from your staff despite numerous attempts to communicate my situation.
As a guest, I understand that circumstances beyond anyone's control, such as adverse weather conditions, can disrupt travel plans. In this case, the weather problem was entirely out of my hands, and I had no option but to cancel my reservation. I believe it is only fair and reasonable to request the hotel to waive the cancellation fee under such circumstances.
The lack of response from your hotel is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on your establishment's commitment to customer service. It is disheartening to see that my valid concerns and complaints have been completely disregarded.
I would like to emphasize that I am extremely dissatisfied with the way my request and complaints have been handled thus far. The lack of communication and failure to address my concerns have left a lasting negative impression on me.
I kindly request that you take immediate action to address this matter and provide a satisfactory resolution. I expect a prompt response from your management team, along with a confirmation of the cancellation fee waiver. Additionally, I strongly urge you to review your customer service procedures and improve your communication channels to ensure that other guests do not experience similar frustrations in the future.

This holy city is located in western Saudi Arabia and is also known as Makkah. It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam to make a pilgrimage here, and therefore is a destination for millions of Muslims each year. Prophet Muhammad was born here and it is a sacred place for Muslims and the birthplace of Islam.
Non-muslims are not permitted into Mecca and the government of Saudi Arabia issues special visas for people making the pilgrimage. Most people coming to the Mecca will enter via the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah is the gateway to the city.
The Hajj has a fairly set itinerary including a visit to the Sacred Mosque, al-Masjid al-Haram, built around the Kaaba. Mecca contains many restaurants with varied cuisine and tea shops are available for light refreshments such as traditional tea and cookies. There are also many juice stands for a little refreshment amid the heat. Ranging from luxury hotels to basic accommodations, Booking.com offers over 80 hotels for your time in Mecca.

Mecca is our holy city around the year , every muslim is dreaming to perform Omra and Haj and to spend most of his time in Mecca . despite the fact that the authorities are making it harder for people to enter the Mataf area and even make it difficult to pray inside , it is still our objective to reach there always

The best place on earth.
The best place on earth. If you visit once, you will come again and again and again for sure. Lots of islamic historical sites and the center of the earth for Muslims. Easy to move via Taxi. Lots of frindly people. Lots of immigrant workers who love to help you any way they can. Just stay alert from the Pakistani Scammers. You may find them here and there. Mostly on the Masjid Al Haram. Do not help anyone if someone comes up with a story to tell. If they have a story to tell, they are scammers or frauds.

the importance of Mecca (Makkah) as a holy place for Muslims...
the importance of Mecca (Makkah) as a holy place for Muslims and the need for improvements in various aspects to better accommodate the millions of pilgrims who visit each year. Indeed, with such a significant religious and cultural significance, ensuring that the infrastructure and management systems are up to par is crucial.
Improvements in transportation, such as better roads and traffic systems, as well as parking facilities, can certainly ease the movement of pilgrims and make the overall experience more convenient. Additionally, clear signage and modern scanning systems can help pilgrims navigate the area more efficiently and understand the rules and regulations set by the management.
Consistency in the operation of facilities, such as the opening and closing times of gates, is essential for the convenience and safety of pilgrims. This consistency helps ensure that visitors can plan their activities effectively and avoid confusion.

Visited for Unrah just after Ramadan( on 3rd Eid).
Visited for Unrah just after Ramadan( on 3rd Eid).
Arrived by super fast train Harmain from Jeddah airport. Easy travel via Mecca shuttle bus from train station to Haram. Only cost 8 SAR-15 min drive.
City was very crowded and overwhelming during this period with very slow traffic around prayer times.
Performed Unrah after Duhr prayer, very crowded.I recommend Unrah after Usha prayer when it is quieter and avoid at least 1-2 weeks after Ramadan.
Book Harmain train tickets via app well in advance as can be expensive and tickets sold old. They only allow one piece of 25 kg luggage and a hand bag.

The best place is of course the Haram Al-sharif.
The best place is of course the Haram Al-sharif. Lots of different kinds of restaurant and food available in the city. If you don't mind riding in a taxi, it's easy to get around unless it's a Friday. Better know what the cost of a trip should be, otherwise you will get gouged by the cab drivers. The cops block off most streets around the Kaaba on Fridays and religious holidays. Mecca is not a fun activity city unless the fun activity is to go pray at the Masjid Al-Haram which really gives you a special happy feeling and soothes your soul when you see the Kaaba in front of you.
We stayed for 2 nights. very good experience, Haram was just 5 minutes walk, taxies arrive right in front of the hotel, also stations for local busses very close. Mr Shafiqur Rehman, restaurant manager was excellent, providing every possible assistance. Breakfast was great with many choices. Our out of hours house keeping request was immediately dealt with by Mr Jamal. Must recommend this hotel for anyone looking quality accomodation near Haram in Makkah.
Neat Clean, excellent Odor, new construction, Has good Coffee shop, and Resturant. Pakistani staff is very supportive and humble. Shuttle service almost every hour to near Hamram, before tunnel, and then you have to switch to another Bus free of charge which drops you near Haram about 5 Min from King Fahad Gate. And there is small park outside of Hotel which is good in evening to walk around. And very beautiful and Big Mosque behind on walking distance.
Hotel was fine, but going to Haram need a taxi, I visited in Ramadan 2024, mostly taxi asking 20-30 to drop on Gaza gate from their walking to Haram takes 7-10 minutes. But if you ask taxi to drop near Haram under tunnel gate, which is close to King Fahad gate they ask more money, and in peak time taxi asking very high. Hotel also provide a shuttle 30 minutes before prayers but were shuttle drop need to walk 5-7 minutes to Haram.
The location of hotel is very good and near Haram walking distance, which is an advantage, unlimited water and unlimited tea and coffee is served which is great , no other hotel gives you this facility. Staff is quite friendly and they listen to you and perform their duties very professionally. Rooms are neat and clean with standard facilities .
The location is near Haram. Easy access from Jeddah Makkah Road. Shuttle Bus services are available from Hotel to Haram.
Also, the public bus station is just opposite to hotel and can travel free of cost. Good Parking in the hotel. There are many food options nearby the hotel including, Qarmoshi, Broast shop, Cafeteria, Afghani Hotel, etc..
An excellent value for money, book here if all what you need is a place to sleep near Haram with all what you need next to the hotel entrance (pharmacy, supermarket, fruits..etc) and without paying a fortune.
The room is a very cosy and spaces are small but efficient.
The staff is teally friendly and helpful.
It is very much worth for the price. You can just spend 30 sar in taxi from haram to ibis rather than spending another 400 Sar for hotel near haram. Since its chain of hotel, they maintain the neatness and facilities
I liked all staff who are professional and very helpful. The hotel is beautiful and near Haram. The breakfast is great. All facilities are great but not suitable for old or in wheel chairs coming for Omra.
The best location near Haram, didn't have to go anywhere else to find things, a few steps to Haram, shopping within the clock tower, and all kinds of food options in the building.
Cleaning service especially Ashik was polite and helpful
Breakfast is awesome, we really enjoyed it
It's near Haram but need to go up to reach the hotel after that
Location near haram 5minuts fantastic room service really good and will recommend every person to try this hotel the. He will never go to any other in makkah
