Everything was perfect, close to everywhere, with super nice, helpful, and friendly staff, and a complete breakfast. This was my favorite place during my whole stay in Thailand. The room where we stayed was kind of big with a lovely Asian Japanese style, in my opinion. There was nothing to complain about regarding cleanliness, and they replaced our bottles of water and towels if needed, with amazing daily service. In the lobby, they helped me book activities during our stay, and the recommendations for tours were accurate and amazing. This place exceeded my expectations for sure.

Surrounded by Thailand’s highest mountains, Chiang Mai is the beloved, idyllic and somewhat mystical capital of the North. With more than 300 temples, it's considered one of the most important cultural centers in the country.
Despite being Thailand's fifth-largest city, Chiang Mai still has a relaxed and laid-back feel. Modernity, trendy shops and boutique hotels haven’t altered much of its picturesque and peaceful atmosphere.
This reputation is partly due to its proximity to lush green areas, mountains like Doi Suthep, and its panoramic Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep temple. The Doi Inthanon National Park is 37 miles away with Thailand’s highest mountain.
Hotels in Chiang Mai’s old city center are a popular choice, with picturesque scenery featuring its moat and older temples. Chiang Mai hotels can also be found around the Chang Klhan Rd, where the famous Night Bazaar takes place.
The city’s nightlife runs along the Loi Kroh Rd, while Ratchadamneon Road hosts the main Sunday night pedestrian market. Don’t forget to buy an umbrella from Bo Sang and eat a bowl of kao soi.
Whether you arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport or come by land from Bangkok, don’t miss "The Rose of the North" deals on Booking.com!

I had a friend who was able to give me a head start in getting around the town and district. Also on one day I hired a driver for about 3 hours to drive me around to the sights he thought were worth visiting. That was very cheap, 1000THB and good value. Just make sure their English is good enough for what you want, otherwise it would be a pain.
The town is really clean. No rubbish to speak of anywhere. Most of the action is from about 10.00 am through to midnight when it is the cooler hours of the day. The fresh food markets are very interesting to get an idea of how the Thai people transact business.
An interesting place to visit is the Museum of Makers. Doesn't get much of a write-up but worth it. It is an arts and crafts location with very good quality items - clothes, jewellery, furniture, coffee. The building is great architecture, modern Thai.

I loved it in Chiang Mai.
I loved it in Chiang Mai. The temples are beautiful, the Chiang Mai night bazaar was lovely (probably one of my favorite night markets, as they had shopping, food, and Muay Thai fights), and many day trips available. The nicest elephant sanctuaries seem to be located here as well. I went to Chai Lai Orchid for a day at the elephant sanctuary and had the greatest time of my life. The only downside about Chiang Mai was I went in April which happens to be burning season. Air quality wasn't great. It was considered "Unhealthy" throughout my stay but that didn't stop me from being outside and doing activities. Just be careful.

Chiang Mai is mostly flat; the old town being defined by a rectangular
"moat" . There are many interesting temple sites and places where markets are held, some of which are quite special. The people are delightful and are used to their town being inundated with foreigners.
There is plenty of nightlife when the temperature is easier than the daytime heat.
There is a huge range of eateries. The street food I found much preferable to some of the food "courts" especially set up for visitors.
Shopping is endless. The clinics are also.

City is good, people is also friendly.
City is good, people is also friendly. All is centered to make visitors spend money. avoid trips to shops nearby (ride will be offered by tuc tuc drivers) it is just a scam, nothing is like try to show.....
In general there is nothing really interesting to do overthere, national park visit is also nothing, not interesting.

A welcoming oasis. Beautiful and charming. Very easy to get around the city with the Grab app. Unfortunately, March is "burning season" and the air was terrible, but of course not the fault of this unique and lovely property.

It is a wonderful part of Thailand and great place to enjoy.
It is a wonderful part of Thailand and great place to enjoy. Just remember that to get around this city the red Ute buses are not like the blue Ute buses of Pattaya. Price for use seems to differ with the driver and they tell you when to get off. So it is safer to use Uber.
We stayed in superior room and loved it!
Room was impeccable clean, bright, very spacious and well equipped.
Big sunny bathroom, Japanese style toilet and standing bath.
Convenient location, was nice to have access to bikes.
We liked it the most form our 3 hotels in Chiang Mai (same level hotels)
Breakfast and reception staff were very nice and very present.
Breakfast was not bad, quite standard, good coffee machine, but beans not of the best quality, however nice coffee shop in the lobby and Pegasus coffee just around the corner.
New hotel with a nice decor.
The place had everything you will need on the go.
The balcony was an absolute super plus and good coffees on ground floor
The placement is very ideal only 2 minute walk from the best food market in old city.
Location also makes it easy for grabtaxi and red taxis.
The place was spotless clean and was cleaned every day.
I stayed in 20 hotels in Chiang mai at this price point over the years and this is one of the absolute best
The staff was very kind and super helpful.
Serene setting, only a 7-minute Grab ride (usually about 100 baht) from the old city. Staff was friendly. Coin-operated washing machines on premesis were a nice feature. Bed was very comfortable and the room had a nice-sized safe. Very good food: breakfast buffet offerings were very ample and varied and dinner menu was also varied. A four-minute walk from the fabulous Khao Soi Samerjai, arguably the best Khao Soi lunch spot in all of Chiang Mai. This is definitely an up and coming section of town.
Our 5 day stay at Pingviman Hotel was marvelous! Conveniently located in the heart of the old city, the Pingviman offered us a beautifully appointed room complete with luxury king bed with spa bathtub and private balcony. Each day we'd start with a sumptuous breakfast, step out the door to explore the wonders of Chiang Mai and return to relax and unwind in the beautiful pool (one of the few heated pools in the city) and finally, fall asleep in the wonderfully comfortable bed! Highly recommended!
Amazing property which features an amazing room in a great location within walking distance to most places in the Old City.
The hotel manager Kishore is incredible and helped point us towards all the best places for coffee, motorbike rental, and street food. He was very kind and helpful for everything that was needed and went above and beyond to ensure we had all the information needed. All the staff at Lee Chiang Hotel were also amazing and friendly and hotel service was incredible.
It's a very pleasure stay for me and my family during our first visit to Chiang Mai. The host and hostess have been very kind and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The location is not inside the old city but very close to the Chiang Mai gate and the night market we visited couple of times. Overall, I was very glad and lucky to choose this hotel. Thanks Nan and her husban for the great hosting, see ya.
Nice, large room with a decent entertainment set up via the smart TV. The building itself is very charming and historic, claiming to be the first private hotel in Chiang Mai. The adaptation into a modern hotel is quite cleverly done. The hotel's location is very handy as it's opposite Wat Phra Singh making it a good base for walking around the Old City. The staff were generally very friendly and accommodating.
Pha Thai House is great if you go visit Chiang Mai.
Lovely clean room and bathroom.
The breakfast was plenty and with different options.
Stayed 3 nights and will be back once in Chiang Maia again.
Well located in the old city and with walkable distances to different atractions in the City.
Staff very helpful. Also a swimming pool to cool down at the entrance of the hotel.
The hotel has one of the best locations in Chiang Mai. The staff was wonderful - exceptionally friendly and eager to help, honestly, I don't know if I've ever stayed in a hotel with a more friendly and eager to help staff. The breakfasts were outstanding, way better than what one would normally expect from a hotel breakfast.
My room was very clean and bright lanna stule decor. There is a lovely, well-kept garden, which I enjoyed a lot. The location is very good, because the old town is very close and in the evening you have a small, but delicious food market just a few minutes by foot from the hotel away. 5 stars! Thanks for everything!!
Absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful, clean, and incredible breakfast and afternoon tea. Also, very walkable to many amazing spots in the Old City. An amazing place to spend a few days of our honeymoon - the staff even decorated the room for us in celebration ❤️
The hotel is really well located in the Old City. The rooms are a very good size and everything worked as it should. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a really good place to stay at a really affordable price
Lovely hotel in a great location in a quiet soi in the old city. Great swimming pool, a little cool but so refreshing!
The complimentary light breakfast is very nice, and plenty to start the day in the hot weather.
The room was incredibly nice for the value. The location was perfect– it was so close to a busy street food market and the old city. The family that ran the hotel helped us organize cooking classes and other tours.
Clean and comfortable room, lovely hotel with local flair in Old Town close to temples. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, best Thai tea ever. Excellent service from all the staff.
Excellent location in the Old City. Room and property were very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful little hotel, great pool. Would definitely stay there again.
beautiful hotel, located on a quiet street but still walkable to anywhere within the old city. Pool is small but good enough and our suite room was gorgeous.
