Konya is a huge city, depending of what you are looking for, you have to chose you area wisely. There is plenty of country side and beautiful scenery, but a long drive from where we were if you are planning to find nightlife or entertainment it might be difficult. The area we were in, we visited some restaurants, food is good, but most of them you cannot consume alcohol. so if you plan to go out after a days work and have a drink you can forget it.

I went to Konya to attend Mevlana's death anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. Significant experience with the food, people, architecture, everything. It was a spiritual trip, so I greatly enjoyed the city.
It's easy to get around, and the bus/tram connection is excellent. You can buy a city card, top it up, and move around.
It had terrific world-best falafel and hummus opposite Shah Shames Tabreez's tomb—a must-visit place.
Great and affordable grill and other food options near Azizyea 🕌 mosque inside old streets of Konya.
I visited Sille, a beautiful historic village only 30 minutes by bus from Konya city center.

Konya gives you a high sense of spiritually most likely because of its connection with Mevlana Rumi and Shams Tabriz. It is not as crowded as Istanbul so it's more enjoyable. The mosque ans the tomb of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykabut, located on a strategic hillock, has a beautiful garden and a very good to relax. Out of all the goid restaurants, Sufi Restaurant offers the best cuisine. We enjoyed Konya''s signature dish, the Firin Kebap and the dessert Hosmerism. They are a must to eat.

I had never been to Konya, so we hired a guide for a 7-hour walking tour. Konya is an ancient city (Roman name was Iconium) as well as a pilgrimage site for many sufis, since both Rumi and his mentor Shems-i Tabrizi have tombs in the city. The Mevlevi dervish sema at the Mevlana Cultural Center is a big draw for people from all over the world. Even though the ceremony is choreographed, in a large arena more suitable for a basketball game, the performance was genuinely felt, and emotionally moving.

Konya city of Lovers
The homely feel, home away from home. Every member of the family is so welcoming; mommy is amazing and always smiling. True Turkish hospitality and culture. Hotel is walking distance from Rumis mausoleum and 10 minutes walk to Aladdin Camii. Close to hamam and local restaurants (on the way to Safi Sultan Hamam). The gentleman helped me book my bus ticket as my VISA wouldn't work online. Overall, they're amazing and if life brings me to Konya again, I'll stay with them.
Really warm and friendly welcome from the owners. The house is simple but clean and the room was super comfortable. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the main sites and the owner takes the time to direct you and share recommendations. As we were travelling on to Sagalassos from Konya, the owner also took the time to share other places we could stop at on the way. Breakfast was vast and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious!
It is right at the center, steps from Mevlevi museum. I strongly recommend the large Mevlevi restaurant across the street from the hotel. It is good authentic local food, with waiters speaking English. At the same time, the hotel has a place at the front door for free parking. The room is both comfortable and clean.
The hotel's breakfast is included, and is the best among the 20-30 hotels I stayed in Turkey, with most hot dishes.
Perfect location in city centre with parking place - close to Konya main sights. Mevlana museum - 3 min.walk. Hotel is in old house, rooms are basic and clean. Good value for money. The place is a little narrow but cozy. Staf is very friendly and helpful - they give for you all information that you need. You coud walked by foot in all places where you want. The breakfest was excellent. Thank you!
Its location right to the center.
Underground parking ,the mattress and pillows are excellent and the top is the breakfast.sure the best in turkey
It was delicious, high quality, with a grate variety for everyone. Incredible!!! 20days tour in turkey we did not eat such a breakfast. And the must is the cleanliness everywhere .
You go .,do not miss it
It's a very nice family run small hotel next to the museum and near several restaurants. The owners are very friendly and attentive and it was a pleasure staying there. We stopped in Konya overnight on the way from Alanya to Cappadocia and saw the whirling dervish show that night and went to several museums the next day.
I arrived to konya, without any plans, all staff were friendly and very helpful with me, they helped me to choose my sightseeing , locations, and finally bus reservations for my next city in turkey. The hotel is very clean, neat and near to most attractions in konya.
The room is too big and has all facilities you need
The hotel is well known in Konya and popular for business trips. We were upgraded for free to a family suite, which was one of the biggest suites I have ever seen. Everything was very clean and the staff was very careful and supportive. The breakfast was excellent.
The people at the desk welcoming you were wonderful. Attentive, all questions addressed. The area was absolutely perfect. Near some of the major attractions. The room was very good, with comfortable beds. Our stay in Konya was one of the highlights of the vacation.
I wish there was an Araf brand all over Turkey. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a gentle voice and when we left, we were greeted with the traditional Turkish gesture, 'Let your travels be as smooth as water and many happy returns'.
This is the best hotel ever in Turkey !!! The room was excelent decorated and the reception has a unique atmosphere. Everything was spectacular and the hotel is very good positioned. The owner can help you with everything you need.
Location just behind Hazrat Mawlana R.A. Reception staff also very helpful. Also the best restaurant in Konya just in front of hotel providing authentic Konya cuisine and very affordable - Maaruf Turbeonu Lokantasi.
Modern comfortable rooms in a nice hotel with a lovely lobby. There is a shisha bar next to the lobby bar. There is a pool area and spa facilities . The location is good close to the centre of Konya
I loved everything. Konya is a magical city, and my stay in Aziziye hotel made my trip exceptional. I would like to thank abi and Anne. Çok teşekkürler. I will miss the beautiful Cami view.
TOP location, pretty good breakfast, very neat room, polite staff with good level of English, especially for that part of the Turkey. We are satisfied.
