Location of the hotel
Staff Wi-Fi Bed Food we booked 2 rooms with double bed for each room but we had one with single be and another with double and we asked them why they said they do not have. and also the internet was very slowly and we asked the they said because every body in the hotel use the internet some times it took one mint open one page of the internet. in addition the break fast was not good.
Every thing except location
Only the location near taksim is good.
1-when entered The room I switched on thevTv to find out it was black and white I called the reception and promised to fix it in 10 minutes despite my several calls for the same nothing happened for two days when I chef out for another hotel 2-the telephone had a problem all hotel calls comes to me through the switchboard I reported that and nothing was done so I could not sleep. 3-the hotel will not allow guests to bring even water from outside so that we buy from the hotel. 4-no English is spoken in the hotel . 5-staff are not polite at all. 6-anything you buy is very expensive ,I bought a local bottle of water and paid 10 TL just over 5USD.
I have never in my life experienced such collectively rude staff including the management. Extremely unhelpful. The hotel didn't have an Iron, a plug or scissor for me to borrow during my 2 night stay
Breakfast is of good quality and varieties of choices thought not much of freshly cooked items. Proximity to shops , restruant , transport and isteklal street where a long stretch of what you need .
Very poor and frustrating wi fi Reception staff inconsistent from very helpful to a rude and money ' magnet' one. TV has no satellite channels and we stuck with the turkish one although we contact the reception three times none was done
We had our room down in the -5 floor and it require changing 2 elwvators to reach the room As we had a baby it was very difficult and annoying Wifi is very poor and slow
I am pleased to write on Grand Star Hotel for the first time this year, having just returned from our first 2014 visit.we were delighted to see that the standard are not down in any areas but indeed were even better. This hotel should hold five stars without question. The Guest Relation Manager always seem to be in attendance throughout the day and evening; she goes from area to area and can be seen observing all aspects of her hotel - one can assume she is confirming her high standards are maintained. She takes time to speak with guests young or old, returners or new. Her staff maintain this high standard and all are justifiably proud. Guest Relation Manager Selda OK, and her reception crew ) of which the multi-lingual Aphridite to name one), all take time to ask you how your day had gone, and show a genuine interest on the guest as an individual. This all goes to make a good holiday for the guest. There are various options available to the guests when it comes to matters of hunger! There are different cuisine available in additional to the very enjoyable Buffet Theme morning. The starters/salad bar is always stacked with something suitable every taste. The unsung heroes of Housekeeping are another department where business is quietly and efficiently conducted in the morning with the turn down in the evening.
Nothing is a problem at Grand Star Hotel.... problems simply either don't exist or are handled in way they are never seen. Well done guys and thank you all for a great time.
Before I made a reservation, I have read recommend about the hotel. To be honest I was afraid to make a reservation. I changed my mind when I saw the staff is so friendly, the room is clean and tidy. The lobby is so quiet and calm.
room is very small noisy ( thin walls) staff are not friendly the bed head piece is not clean they don't change sheets/pillows when cleaning spa, pool and facilities are managed by another company and their staff are rude
Early morning sunshine can not be avoided ( no thick curtains ) And the noises of ships (somewhat ) are disturbing
1. upon entering the lobby with a water bottle, a clerk walked up to me trying to hinder me bringing it into the building. He claimed this was not allowed. Go figure. 2. pool hours: when I found the pool closed at 10:30am (pool hours are 10am to 10pm according to house info) a receptionst told me pool hours were from 11am. When I mentioned that it should be open by 10am she just went: `who told you so?´ The pool area was then opened immediately but I was told that I would have to wait another hour due to maintenance.
It is a very good hotel. Its staff members are very helpful.
The elevator has to be well maintained or replaced. This was the only negative experience that I had during my stay in the hotel. It is hard to climb to the sixth floor without an elevator
the location was so beautiful
the service was not good for example the time we arrived in the early morning there was no welcome drinks or anything available no early check in although i requested befor going there and they let us wait in the loby for 3 hours inspite of we were having kids sleeping with us and they requested whole night fees for 3 hours only -the open boufet was so humble-the small refrigrator inside the room not working properly -wifi is bad
Location was amazing.. staff were super friendly and attentive..room was clean and well decorated and newly renovated..breakfast with variety.. I enjoyed my stay and find it worth the money..
All is ok located rooms service
