I first went to Pamukkale in 1990 and I can not remember having to pay to get in only having to pay to get into the Roman Baths, which you now pay extra to swim in. I also remember that you could pretty much go wherever you wanted, sitting in the pools.
Now it is £30 to get in and the water has been diverted away from the natural pools to help keep people away. The only pools you can access are man made on the slope from the entrance or exit to town.
We had however, came for the hot air balloons which were excellent and I highly recommend.

Also had a great Turkish breakfast at a small cafe next to the tour office. Everyone was so friendly, I would highly recommend a visit

Pammukale is a must see.
Pammukale is a must see. One day and one night is just the right amount of time. The town is small but all the people were kind and helpful. I had a wonderful dinner on the front porch of Mom Eve Restaurant. Hilal, the owner, makes a great Cuba Libre.

It is a very beautiful and peaceful area.
It is a very beautiful and peaceful area. It's a good idea to include Pamukkale on your Turkey visit route. One day should be enough.
Note: entry to access the thermal pools is expensive but covers a very large area. Consider knowing if they have water so you don't make a trip in vain.

The ruins of Hierapolis are worth visiting.
The ruins of Hierapolis are worth visiting. The rest was a huge disappointment. We were unable to see any similarity with the tourist promotion photos. The white thermal pools with blue water can barely be seen. Cleopatra's pool is a trap for tourists. Extra payment is required.
The thermal pools are artificial, slippery and full of tourists. We have to walk barefoot on aggressive flooring.
The entrance at the bottom next to the city is a mistake. It requires you to walk up barefoot for more than 500 meters on very harsh ground for your feet.
First, the host is super kind: he arranged for us the early check in in the morning (at 11!) and gave us a deluxe bedroom instead of an economic one because we cannot have the breakfast in the morning, and gave us sandwiches, fruits, juice and water for the next day (we leaves very early) Swimming pool area is the perfect place to relax during hot summer days. We suggest you to have dinner in the hotel because Pamukkale has not so much to offer and because the food we had was one of the best during our holiday in Turkey.
Extremely friendly staff. Helped us with everything from arranging a long distance taxi connection to planning our day at Pamukkale. Pool was large and lovely - playing with the staff's son was a bonus :) Location was quiet but very easy 5 min walk to downtown area. Overall this place felt a lot like staying in a US hotel of any place we stayed in Turkey - only friendlier :) Breakfast was great and they accommodated us even though we barely got to it before closing.
Pamukkale / Hierapolis is a dream of a place: the ruins, the “cotton” mountain, etc. Hotel Sahin is a comfortable location to enjoy your visit. However, the hotel itself does not justify a visit. It is comfortable, practical, and well maintained, but nothing of this world. Do enjoy having dinner at the “White house” restaurant 2 blocks away. The vegetables and fruit, as in all of Turkey are incredible
Great pool. Excellent view of the Pamukkale Travertine Terraces from the 4th floor Breakfast Room; probably the best view. My room balcony also had a full and excellent view of the travertine terraces. Cold water was provided in our room. The bed was comfortable. Located just across the street from everything. We parked our car near the hotel and everything was a short walk away.
The hotel is located right at the Pamukkale site and the facilities are spotless. Family room was very comfortable, lots of space and a great view from the top floor. The breakfast is extraordinary and the best we have had in our trip across Turkey. Tired the evening before we also had dinner at the hotel which was very tasty and great value. Too cold to test the pool, but looked good!
This hotel was old and our least favorite hotel during our trip. The room was okay but musty and old. The spa wasn’t very nice and they charged me extra for a head band that I didn’t even want. The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s located very closely to the Pamukkale thermal pools. Thankfully we only stayed one night here.
Basic no frill BnB close to Pamukkale thermal pools. The lady running the hotel is so sweet. Decent breakfast. Our family room was good size with 1 double and 3 singles and still had reasonable space. It was clean and the Aircon was working fine . . They arranged taxi for us both ways and the price and service was good. Recommended.
We stayed for 3 nights. Excellent hospitality from the hotel manager Turgai. This is our 1st time to Turkey and did not know what to expect. Turgai went further in assisting various requests from us to make our entire experience as smooth as possible. The room are comfortable and breakfast is wonderful. We had a very pleasant stay.
Hotel was welcoming and super clean. We kindly got an upgrade from a triple room to a quadruple family suite which was just perfect. Even though we didn't have time to use the pool it looked clean and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was the most plentiful we have had in Turkey and dinner at the restaurant was really nice.
This is the best place to go and enjoy Pamukkale. It’s getting 10/10 from me. Prices are affordable and very nice hotel to stay with almost every facility. Breakfast is amazing and the staff are incredible. Aalim is the best person there, with a very helping attitude. The swimming pool is a very nice place to relax.
the hotel was excellent. the rooms were spacious and the bathroom was modern and clean. the pool area was great as a break from the heat (& we were allowed to use it after check out which was amazing). best breakfast we’ve had in Turkey - extensive buffet! and a super cute puppy made the stay for us.
A beautiful hotel right next to Pamukkale..in walking distance. The hotel is truly beautiful inside and out and its a shame that Covid has decreased tourism there as well as the rest of Turkey. This is the best hotel in Pamukkale so please stay here. The concierge was a sweetheart.
The hotel is located at 2’ drive to the Pamukkale’s main entrance. A nice swimming pool and an amazing exterior thermal bath.
A good choice for relaxing and visiting Pamukkale.
Friendly owner and staff.
Late checkout available.
On-site car park and a supermarket right the corner.
Everything was very good , friendly and cooperative staff, allowed us to check-in before the scheduled time , arranged taxi for us at last moment when we were about to miss our next bus to Izmir
Breakfast was very good and best so far for us in Turkey, highly recommend it
had an amazing stay at Venus Suite Hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and comfortable stay in Pamukkale. Unal and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the hotel's amenities were top-notch.
its really close to Pamukkale thermal pools, perfect choice if you’re going for no more than one night. breakfast pretty much the same of all turkey. Turkish people are always kind and willing to help you.
The thermal pool is amazing, and dinner was also enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently close to Pamukkale and offers pretty good views. The staff is generally friendly, and the rooms are clean.
Hotel ‘s near Pamukkale , we can walk to Pamukkale in the morning . Hotel manager ‘s kind , he suggest beautiful place to visit on the way to Antalya (Kaklık Mağarası & Salda lake) .
One of the best stays I had in Turkey.
The staff was very helpful and informative.
They gave us a free upgrade also.
