Every detail in every corner of the facility reflects elegance, perfectionism and good taste. Breakfast and dinner is amazing, all with local products and recipies. A beautiful town, completely different from the Turkiye...
A beautiful town, completely different from the Turkiye known by those who visit the coast. Kurdish, not Turkish, with Christian buildings going back to the fourth century and a culture that encompasses many religions and languages. A good base for a day trip (with guide) to Midyat and other local sites. Plenty of restaurants, serving wide variety of foods. Wine shops, selling local wines, but no bars in the old town.
Really wish we had read more before going. Pictures show the beautiful pale-coloured buildings climbing up the hillside but not the fact that the 'roads' are more often steps. Wonderful small narrow streets, a copper bazaar where people were at work, incredible churches, mosques and madrasas - but you need to have good hips and knees!
An excellent Hamam, open for men mornings and evenings, for women in the afternoons.
For anyone interested in early Christianity, in cultural melting pots, or in somewhere unlike most tourist towns, Mardin and Midyat, and the necropolis at Dara, the area is exceptional. Allow about four days and bring sensible shoes.
Good and cheap bus service from the airport, no need to use taxis.

This was the second time to visit Mardin, this time during a small road trip. Mardin is a place were you don not see Western people. Please do not mention it, otherwise it will ruined as other old citys. Atmosfere specicial on the market is like 200years old. Views are amazing, and most important the people.

Mardin is beautiful and ancient and wonderful.
Mardin is beautiful and ancient and wonderful. Everyone was so friendly - I never encountered even one person who wasn't kind and gracious.
I think the only down side to Mardin is all of the litter. Although I saw several workers cleaning, it seems the people of Mardin don't understand the impact of throwing you trash out the window, which I saw a lot of.
Nonetheless, I loved Mardin. The history, the people, the general feel... wonderful! I will return!
A wonderful stay where staff go above and beyond with their service and cleanliness. The rooms are spotless, the location is in a great spot, in Old Mardin with touristic spots nearby. The staff will stop at nothing to ensure your stay at Mardin is everything you wanted. The only thing I’d pick on is the amount of stairs taken to get there BUT this is in no way the hotels fault as Mardin has stairs everywhere to get to anywhere! Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be coming back!
The best part of our stay were Nuh Bey and his team! They represent the culture and nature of the region, which we fell in love with.
Nuh Bey does his best to accommodate the guests and make them feel like at home. He gave us a tour of a few places in Mardin, and helped us find a restaurant to celebrate the NY.
The hotel is located in the very center of Mardin, so a good place to reach all historical sites of the city.
Tufan, Islam, Talia, Ceylan, and Hamdin were excellent hosts. They really made us feel at home and the breakfast was fantastic. The stone house is 900+ years old and has been thoughtfully renovated. Interestingly, the water supply is pumped from an old well beneath the property that you can see! The house is conveniently located and an excellent place to explore the rest of Mardin from. We definitely hope to return!
Superlative hotel with amazing service and people. There is no better option than start discovering Mardin from Maridin hotel which astonishes from the first glimpse.
Great location, amazing design, caring personnel and atmosphere of ancient legends made our journey brilliant.
Strongly recommend everyone to feel this Magic.
In fact, I did not find the hotel to be at a five-star level for many reasons, including
1- The hotel did not have a private garage 2- The bathrooms were not up to the required standard 3- The breakfast was lacking in many materials 4- The rooms were not comfortable due to street noise 5- The air conditioning was not good
We loved everything about this place, the rooms the bathrooms, the views, proximity to everything, the breakfast, and the staff are SUPER NICE with great English and gave us a good breakdown of the history of the hotel as well as the surrounding areas.
This hotel is the best experience we've had in Turkey, super memorable.
This hotel is in near mardin square so location is very good. Host was very friendly and kind. I was blown away hospotality of elderly gentleman. I stayed traditonal style clean and cozy room. In the morning you can enjoy fantastic Kahvaltı. Kahvalti in this hotel is greater than any other restaurants.
Staff friendly and attentive. Deluxe room large and beautifully furnished. Not an impersonal, standardized hotel experience. You get to know where you are in the world and whom is taking care of your needs. Strongly recommended. If we ever get back to Mardin this will be the place where we will stay..
Being in Mardin, I was staying in ZERZEVAN hotel. I highly recommend it, not only because of its amazing historical beauty, but also owing to the people who work there and always happy to help. It is in the city center and pretty easy to get everywhere from there.
The hotel is very colorful. Located in old Mardin. The location is very good. The owner of the hotel is a very cool, responsive, multifaceted person. Helps with everything. Speaks many languages very well. Rydvan bey give you special respect.👌👌🙂🙂
The breakfast was delicious (one of the best breakfast I had in Turkey!), the place is beautiful especially the view is breathtaking. Location very convenient. Staff, but especially the lady that serves breakfast in the morning, is very nice!
Hotel is kind of hidden heaven.
The staff and manager were very attentive especially Kubilay and Derya. And the rest of team Fırat and azad was so friendly. Highly recommended!
Gréât location in the heart of Old Mardin . Esthetically pleasing spot . Charm of the old town . Breakfast is served on the rooftop wth fantastic views .
