Hotel in Urfa
Located in Urfa, a 15-minute walk from Balikli Gol, PALMYRA BOUTIQUE HOTEL provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a shared lounge. The breakfast each morning was a feast, with breads, local apricot fig and raisin-honey-walnut preserves, two kinds of eggs, olives, grilled eggplant and peppers and fresh tomatoes and cukes, melon, cheeses, coffee, tea, and I’m sure we’ve forgotten something. All served in the 500-year-old courtyard straight from the kitchen and piping hot. Mehmet Sarisu, the owner and host, anticipated our every heart’s desire. Thanks to his peerless efforts, we were able to visit archaeological sights we thought would be unattainable. His recommendations and tour ideas were perfect. We only budgeted and spent one day-plus in Sanliurfa, yet we would have needed five full days to sample s bit of everything. This city and this hotel are absolute gems. We felt utterly safe, and travelled widely in the time we were there (Harran, GonekliTepe, and around the city)so any rumors to the contrary should be ignored. When you consider Sanliurfa, write to Mehmet for archaeological and other tour suggestions. You simply cannot go wrong doing so.

The archaeological museum was excellent and the mosaic museum was also good. The historic Islamic architecture in the centre was very interesting. And the Gobekli Tepe archaeological site outside of town was fascinating. However, I wouldn’t rate the local food as anything really special.
Urfa is amazing. you can walk through history and enjoy visiting historic sights like Balikligol, ulu cami, Urfa museum, and amazon museum. Gobeklitepe, Halfeti, and Harran are close and visiting is possible by joining daily tours. enjoy Mesopotamia.
You can spend a minimum of five days here and not begin to exhaust the sights: day trips to Mt Nemrut, Mardin, Harran, and closer to home GobekliTepe, the Archaeological Museum(first-rate), the Mosaic Museum (ditto), Abraham’s cave, the sacred pool, the castle, the Grand Bazaar - the town and surroundings provide complete AND SAFE cultural and archaeological experiences.
Very hectic, almost chaotic. People drive a bit crazy. My husband wanted a beer - nooe, no alcohol anywhere. It was Bayram when we came so most restaurants were closed. Definitely watch out for holidays, they close down everything. Banks were closed for 4 days! Overall it wasn’t my favourite city, Eastern Turkey is a bit dirty. There’s garbage everywhere so from that point of view it’s a little unpleasant for a Westerner.
I extremely recommend to see Gobeklitepe if you like history. Because that place is the zero point of time. In addition Balikli Gol, Halfeti, the cave of Eyyüp Prophet etc. wonderful historical and touristic places. I recommend you to visit there with a tour guide. Because it is very important to know the stories behind places And food... Fantastic!
You got a taste for what it was like in turkey in the old days as it was more traditional. Very chilled place, easy to walk around. Lots of history. Cheap food, could get a large kebab for 90p. Only stayed 2 days but woud have liked to stay another day or 2.
The service was great. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is great as it’s central and next to the Piazza mall and a 10-15 from the main sights. Views from our room were great. WiFi was perfect. There’s a lot to choose from in the breakfast buffet. The hotel has a great pool, hot tub and gym and prayer room which we made use of. It also has an underground car park which is useful. Overall we had no complaints and enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at Hanehan for four nights and have nothing to complain about. The hotel looks great, very well located, in a quiet area in the center of the old town. The staff is always attentive and very respectful. The hotel’s courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast is delicious. Upon request, they provided us with the transfer from the airport and other trips we needed outside the city. I recommend the hotel and the beautiful city of Sanliurfa!
I loved everything. My Passport got stolen on my way to Sanliurfa, the hotel staff helped me in every possible way to locate the passport. Right from the bus I was traveling in and also the taxi. Facilitated Me with the police and gave me so much support. The receptionist made sure I got all my meals on time, I was so distraught. They even offered me some financial help. Unbelievable experience. Humanity is still alive and Hotel Güven proved it
This hotel was exceptional, the staff especially Bulent and Hasan were very friendly and treated my family not as a guest but as a family. I would recommend this hotel very much and Breakfast is very good. The location is very good and close to the centre . It is a very safe area. The hotel will take you anywhere in Urfa if you want to visit holy sites or anywhere in Urfa. Thanks once again
Urfa
Great place with a very central location. Close to all the main city attractions. It's an old huge villa with a big terrace which has the perfect view of the old town and the castle. The staff is very friendly. I managed to park my car close to the hotel (there's no parking place right at the hotel so think about it beforehand).
We checked out the museum on a whim because it was raining, definitely check it out. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Our room was upgraded, but we were charged for it later. This may have been a miscommunication due to a language barrier and not due to dishonesty, but if we had known we would have declined the upgrade.
Super friendly and caring staff , cleanness was above my expectations and they did everything to make you comfortable. The manager was a lady that was very nice and you could see her management touch in every nice aspect of the hotel .
Mr Mustafa is so nice and helpful. He offered to pick me up from otogar and helped me arrange a taxi to Gobeklitepe. The hotel is located in the central and very close to everywhere. Highly recommend if you are on a trip to Urfa.
The hotel is really well located. The room was clean and nice. Musa was very nice and helpful. He helped us with everything. He arranged us to rent a car and recommended some nice programs. The best choice in Sanliurfa:)
