Thé staff were extremely helpful and very polite it was good to see smiling faces also Thé location was at Thé heart of sultanahmet nearby All popular places to see
Thé pool was very dirty also Thé cleanness was very poor i hated Thé fact that Thé Cleaner would just barge in without Knocking therefore was hair everwere
Location was great
Reception area always seemed chaotic and most requests were not attended too. Rooms were too small and odd shape. We Booked Connecting rooms and first night had to sleep in unconnected rooms, had to make a fuss to get rectified next day,
Excellent location & good facility with reasonable prices. Staff is very cooperative. Very Good Breakfast.
Food, wi-fi, room, staff, service. We were taken to our room at 2pm only to find it had not been serviced. We than had to wait another hour and the room was not clean. No towels were left nor toilet paper. I had to ask 3 times for towels to be brought up. Breakfast was bad quality. The wifi was very slow.
The staff were excellent, always on hand to help with anything asked of them, and good at anticipating guest needs. Breakfast was also excellent, with every possible taste catered for. And the location is probably the best in Istanbul for visiting the main sites.
Corridors and stairs poorly lit; could be a hazard for some people
V good for family's , in centre of istanbul , clean and positive .
Some times you need far notice to have a taxi . Some time Turkish staf being tuff and you should know how you treat them .
Everything. The staff at Sura Hagia Sophia could not be more helpful, and the hotel is good quality/value for money. If visiting in Summer, the pool is a massive bonus. Suited for mature couples or young families - not a party hotel, and best that way. Also offer a luxury transfer service, really quick and punctual, 20 min to airport early in morning.
The hotel is relatively new, and not all taxi drivers know where it is. We were dropped at the Hagia Sophia Hotel by mistake, and had to walk back to the right hotel with our luggage. Recommend using their transfer service.
When you see "good location" for most hotels, this may mean it will discount other aspects. You might imagine the typical tourist hotel amid noise with shabby reception and worn rooms. Sura is nowhere close to that image. It is tucked in a lovely alley just a stone throw away from the main street, which provides tranquility. Distinctive exterior contrast to the building around. Lovely entrance and stylish lobby. Turkish breakfast buffet with variety of cheese and cold cut, meze, honey, jam, bread and hot dishes, fresh orange juice, and of course the usual western breakfast pieces. Impressed. And self-service high tea is available to guests free of charge from 5pm to 6pm. Staff are friendly and speak English. Room are rather clean. Our room has a view on Hagia Sofia! You are literarily next to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque, which are opposite to each other. The tram station is right there on the main street, which makes it so easy to go anywhere. With a young child, it is bliss to stay here because you can tour around and return to have a break by the swimming pool if she is tired and go out again later. Highly recommended.
Staff could have been better trained on customer service. We were disturbed once during one night by a staff member who just entered our room after 3 knocks at the door! He was supposed to deliver a blanket next door! Also, Concierge told us they will prepare a small box of breakfast on the morning of our departure since it was very early but nothing was there then and the reception did not know and couldn't be bothered to help. Bottled water should be available in the room daily but we only had it twice during our 4-night stay.
This hotel has everything you need.
it took us 5 houres to check in they wanted to give me a room in the basement the cleaning is poor and food and room service r very bad
- swimming pool is filthy - wifi not working probably - electricity always went off - noisy rooms - water leakage from the a/c - access cards to the rooms not working -hotel management system always failed to serve the customers . - found noisy rats above the room ceiling !! - once we checked in the room wasn't ready or cleaned
great location. pool is nice after a day site seeing. the hotel is very well managed.
The breakfast was limited and basic
We loved the location, cleanliness, and staff. The staff always smiling and very helpful! They're great with kids, my 3 year old loved them and they loved her! The guest relations there is excellent as well. The spa there is very good too! We'll definitely go again
Great location a few blocks away from aya Sofia the blue mosque topkapi and the grand bazaar Food was excellent
The rooms aren't well noise insulated. We had difficulty getting to sleep on our first night because if the noise coming from the children in the room above
Excellent Location with easy access to lots of tourist attractions. Great and clean facilities and staff who do well at making you feel at home! I will be back for sure do recommend this hotel.
Location Staff Facilities
Not enough sunbeds by the pool!
1)The room and the bathroom were very nice. 2) There were all kind of toiletries, towels and everything you may need. 3) The location was very good, close to all the main attractions in Istanbul. 4) The internet was perfect.
1.There was a huge column in the room which made the 2 armchairs unusable and made the room not worth the value. 2.We were woken up at 8:30 am by the housekeeping because they wanted to clean the room which I find simply insane. 3. Breakfast food was ok, but the employees formed small groups and talked to each other which made the breakfast a bit noisy and you feel like you are having a breakfast with an old turkish friend. Just something you don't expect to see in a 5 star hotel. 4. The hotel did not have a shuttle to the airport - just VIP drive to the airport which was very expensive. 5. The guest relations employee kept asking us to leave the highest score for the hotel in booking.com, which is something you would never expect to hear from a such an expensive hotel. You usually deserve it, not ask for it.
We usually spend our Istanbul vacation in The Sura Hotel with friend, so everything is amazing. It is really THE BEST HOTEL IN ISTANBUL!! First of all there is a need to say a lot of positive words about the hotel's location. It is located in the very Sultanahmed's centre so you can easily get to every place you want. You can find swimming pool only in this hotel in Sultanahmed area! Spectacular view, perfect staff, everything's wonderful! Next time I will definitely prefer to stay in the Sura hotel!!
The size of the bed to much small
Location, facility, comfort.
Is an excellent hotel with great location and staff. The room I was given was not some thing I was expecting. It felt that I was sleeping in the attic.
