Our Sanctuary, hotel in Scarborough

Located in Sou Sou Lands, free WiFi access is also available at this property. All rooms are located on the ground floor. Complete with a refrigerator, the dining area also has kitchenware.

It is a newly built building in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed only overnight in a very clean, well appointed room, with safe double lock. There was a nice comfortable bed, a drawer dresser, an armchair, and tv. There was strong hot shower, aircon and Wi-Fi. A common kitchen area with electric kettle, microwave and big fridge was available for guests’ use. Street parking was available. There was a clean swimming pool that we were not able to enjoy as we have to leave early morning to get into the ferry to Trinidad. I will stay again and recommend this place in Tobago.

The Seaside Garden Guesthouse, hotel in Scarborough

The Seaside Garden Guesthouse features air-conditioned rooms in Buccoo. This beachfront property offers access to free Wifi and free private parking.

Superb location. It is convenient for those going for boat tours. A short boardwalk will lead you to the Buccoo Beach to swim and for sunset. We appreciate that we were upgraded to the family room at no extra cost with our own kitchen and living room. There is a big balcony where you can eat and enjoy the spectacular view of the beach. The room had adequate cabinet and hanger for clothes, a study table, and strong aircon and Wi-Fi. We didn’t use much of the kitchen except for breakfast. Electric kettle, microwave, toaster, 4 burner stove and a big fridge was provided. A private parking space for our rental car was available. A pastry shop, a small convenient store, coffee shop, and bar restaurants were nearby to walk. Luke was very helpful, pleasant, and accomodating. He helped us with our heavy luggage. We were referred to Miss Penny for car rental and shuttle services, and she was very helpful and reliable. I would highly recommend this place to stay in Tobago.

    Travel epicentre.

Travel epicentre. You can take buses (very unreliable, timetables very random, online, only in one direction, not updated often, so they change without word), but very cheap; shared taxis & mini vans are good and also cheap, ask around. Also private taxis. A lot if places close, or close early on Sundays. Attractive water front. A place to go to get to other places- nothings far from Scarborough, but you don’t need to stay there except for early morning ferry departure. Accommodation over priced!

Tobago is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean...

Tobago is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, a hidden gem unlike most of the popular islands. The warmth of the people and the safety of the location is a plus. It has becomemore expensive as the A listers from North America who seek privacy have bought property. Unlike, Trinidad which is more urban and certainly not a tourist destination, the local government has done a remarkable job of the infrastructure in the remote parts of the island. As a choice for family, relaxation and lots of outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkeling and bird watching, the isalnd is a top choice.

Personally I would recommend the North of the Island.

Personally I would recommend the North of the Island. Coastline is prettier, more relaxed vibe, not as busy. Pigeon Point is a beautiful beach but too commercialised for us. Felt like Florida. Beaches in the North un-spoit and natural. Englishmans Bay, Castora, Pirates Bay and Lovers Bay all sensational. Reef worth seeing and great snorkelling.

    Scarborough is very beautiful.

Scarborough is very beautiful. But i believe that hotel owners need to ensure that their guest have the most enjoyable and restful stay at their hotel and not focus on receiving payments and guests are not truly happy with their stay.

A very clean city, with polite drivers.

A very clean city, with polite drivers. A diversity of eating and drinking places that are affordable. We found the Bar Code soca bar served fantastic meals. The Pigeon Point Heritage Park alone can be an entire holiday: wind surfing, glass bottom boat coral watching (a bit of a disappointment), and visiting an uninhabited No Man’s Land where the vendors sold unsavoury food! The park has the best beach in Tobago and its grounds manicured and beautiful.

Scarborough is a beautiful place to visit with lots of outdoor activities: hiking, snorkeling, and bird watching. Lots of variety in local food without the hefty price tags like other tourist destinations like Costa Rica. it is also very LGBT friendly and the people are very warm.

Great breakfasts, and we saw a turtle come up onto the beach to lay her eggs one evening so that was exciting! The hotel will call/knock on your door if you request this when you arrive if you’re keen to see them. Note it was quite late maybe 11/11:30pm when it was spotted and they are on the beach for a few hours! Also the evening activities/entertainment were good including local singers/karaoke evenings and game nights.

Absolutely nothing. Terrible experience. The decor and furniture gives “grandma’s house”. The aesthetics of the restaurant gives “voodoo house”. The entire place needs a total makeover and consistent maintenance. The property however has a nice landscape, with a great view. Possibly under new management and a total upgrade, it can be a 3-4 star hotel. Most of the staff were friendly and somewhat accommodating.

I would like to say I had an exceptional time. Our host Nyah was the greatest. His commination and hospitality was out of this world. from waiting for us and taking us to house, cooking for us, and showing us around Tobago. The house was so much nicer in person. It was very spacious, clean and private. the house was such a vibe. This was the best Tobago trip I had

The hotel is very tired and in need of a re-vamp, the bedrooms are ok but the air conditioning is not very efficient and the bathrooms are shabby and not very clean. The staff however are amazing!! Dennison is the main man and nothing is too much trouble, he is brilliant!! The girls who run reception are also very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

The area is centrally located to give you access to the Tobago 'nightlife' as well as major thoroughfares. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to get the water at the right temperature. The owner (host) is very accommodating and helpful. I came as a solo traveller for a break from work. If you will be moving around plenty, here is ideal.

my whole stay didn’t turn out the way I planned - it was even better! this place is really close to the ferry (so if you want to take the ferry, this is perfect) and the hosts, Ruby and Mervyn were incredible! They help out with everything, answered every question I had and you feel like they really want you to have the best time in Tobago!

I won't know because I was never checked in. I was left stranded and homeless for 6hrs after the boat docked in the lonely streets of Scarborough trying to find a budget friendly place other than where I booked. Boat docked at 7pm and then the nonsense began. I did like the telephone customer service though.

It was really a home away from home or even better, the ambience was rather breathtaking with the view of the wildlife. It was calm with the essence of safety, my children enjoyed the pool. The apartment was clean and I will highly recommend anyone to stay at Tropical Apartment on their next visit to Tobago.
