I had a 7pm to 7am stopover so decided to go for the cheapest option that is not a shared room. It was quite decent, felt much smaller than on the photos but very clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.

The location of the hotel is perfect - it is in the center, but a bit outside of it. So it is quiet and very cozy. The room is special, with a high ceiling, and you can feel that there is some history in the building. The room and the bathroom were very clean and comfortable and the room had everything you need for a good stay. Special thank you for a person on the reception who checked me in earlier that was supposed. I did not take breakfast, so I cannot say if it was good or not.

Lviv has so much cultural heritage that words hardly do it justice. It was under Polish, Habsburg and Soviet rule before rejoining Ukraine, and all have left dramatic marks. No fewer than 5 cathedrals grace cobbled streets with attractive parks and elegant buildings worthy of Vienna.
Potocki Palace is a grand former nobleman’s home and the Palace of Siemienski-Lewickis is equally impressive. Kornyakt Palace is a Renaissance jewel that became a royal residence, and the Ensemble of Ruska Street is an eclectic collection of buildings contributing to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic centre.
Lviv University is Ukraine’s oldest and was part of an intellectual circle attracting immigrants which earned the city the nickname of ‘Little Paris’. Shevchenka Avenue is named after Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko and a statue of him sits on a square housing the celebrated Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Lviv National Museum.
The town hall on Market Square is surrounded by colourful buildings housing shops and cafes, and the castle ruins overlook all of this from High Castle Park.
This is just a snapshot of what the city offers and Booking.com’s great accommodation range helps you discover this and more. The luxury city centre hotels, cheap hostels and apartments near Arena Lviv Euro 2012 football stadium are all easily accessible from the airport.
There's a war...far to the east. There's a curfew.
There's a war...far to the east. There's a curfew. There are occasional air raid alerts. Doesn't matter. The food is great. Churches and monuments are open. Don't bring high heels. All the streets are cobblestone.

It was our first trip to Ukraine and we will definitely come back. Lviv is full of interesting buildings and good eateries. The people are friendly and helpful and the streets are clean (no rubbish). We were thinking how much like Krakow this pretty town could become with EU subsidies! Lots of impressive churches - and great history. If you want to visits Ukraine (also during the war) this is a very good place to go.

Lviv is an amazing and vibrant city!
Lviv is an amazing and vibrant city! Even though there is a war going on, it never felt that one was going on. The people are always smiling and going about their business which contributes to the feeling there is no war going on.
I will recommend the coffee shop Glory Cafe. The place is just amazing! Beautiful architecture and amazing sweets and coffee to eat and drink.
The transportation system in Lviv is extensive. I don't think it is necessary to rent a vehicle at all. All the touristic/historical sites are either within walking distance or a short bus/torley ride.

Lviv is simply breathtaking!
Lviv is simply breathtaking! It's because the mixage of beautiful Hapsburg style architecture, the wide city centre, the old armory, castle hill, cemetery of astonishing beauty combined with so many charming places serving really good food and drinks is so well balanced it's almost miraculous.
It is unbelievable to find so much optimism and strength in this city in a country in war. This fact, which can't be considered unnoticeable, is something that both raised my respect for the city inhabitants as well as strengthened my desire to return soon in spring.
Arnold would say: "I'll be back" and so do I!!

Lviv is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Lviv is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The restaurants and shopping remind you of Paris. It is completely safe and it should be on a must see list. Catch a performance at the opera house if you can; it is a magnificent building.
The reception staff, Marta and Nazar, were professional and hospitable. Marta in particular went out of her way to provide valuable information for a first time visitor to the Ukraine. Their open friendliness was not typical of the general Service industry I encountered hence my appreciation. Excellent ambassadors for their hotel. The hotel was itself excellent. A carefully restored beautiful old building looking out to a Main Street. The room was well designed, very well furnished, comfortable and warm.
As a 5 star hotel Bank hotel needs some improvements starting from the non sliding gate to the spa center. After holding your luggage and the gate on the same time !! you reach to the reception after some steps which is not easy to climb with luggage. Room was cold due to the high celling and heating system (I think )is air co and when you leave to room electric cuts and when back the room was chilly in September ,in January probably it will be freezing.
This is our second stay at the hotel. It works well for our needs as we have a lot of work meetings and like to have dinner at the hotel after a long day. The restaurant food is great. The staff takes some time to warm up but service is good. They don’t take Amex so that is always an issue. This is by no means a luxury hotel. I was told it was built for the Lviv soccer teams to stay in. They were there during our visit. Very polite!
Despite such a difficult situation in Ukraine, everyone is trying to make the foreigner feel good. Fantastic hotel service. At 2 o'clock in the morning, a receptionist waited for me to open the door and give my room key. The hotel was clean and well kept. And the restaurant serves great breakfasts and lunches. I belive the war ends soon and that tourists return to Lviv. The city is ready to receive them.
I have stayed in this hotel for almost 5 days, one of the best places I have stayed in, although I have many offers 5 stars, but I enjoyed with a luxurious and educated staff and distinguished manners, especially the reception Sergio was amazing, friendly, helpful, creative service and smile. Professionalism, thank you very much. They made me beautiful days there. I am Mishaal from Saudi Arabia
clean and spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Spent a few days in Lviv with the family. The hotel is wonderful and relaxing with great staff. It is close to Kings cross mall, but far enough from the center to avoid traffic if driving. when going into town we used uber. A great deal, especially with genius discounts.
Located in the centre of the city, this hotel offers great facilities, especially for young travellers. Being 1-2 minutes away from the most important points of the city, the hotel staff's good command of English is a very rare feature for Ukraine. We were very satisfied. thanks for everything.
I love the design here and I feel very comfortable in every room I stayed here. High ceilings and comfy beds. Spacious showers. Breakfasts are great too. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. This is the best hotel in Lviv and one of my top favorites in Ukraine. Strongly recommend
This is the best hotel in Lviv. I am staying here for the second time, because everything suits me. The service is excellent, they help me with all my questions and wishes. Food in the restaurant deserves the highest rating. A green fenced area where you feel safe. Wonderful pool.
I have stayed a number of times at the Swiss Hotel whilst in Lviv and it is my favourite hotel in the city. The staff are friendly, the rooms are a nice size, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are great. It is also in a great location near the city centre.
Very clean and comfortable, everything was so new, amazing breakfast, located next to a Mall and not far from the center. The price was much cheaper than what it should be, because it was truly a 4 star hotel. We liked everything. I absolutely recommend this hotel.
Great place to stay, very clean and great accommodation & amenities. Exceptionally clean and modern, and the staff are incredibly kind, professional, and courteous. It’s the best of the new Ukraine.
The location of the hotel is in the heart of the city. There are lots of shops and restaurants at your doorstep and within walking distance. I can’t think of a better place to stay in Lviv.
Everything. Awesome staff. Silent rooms. Good restaurant. Nice guests. Love ukraine and love lviv. I am definitely coming back for long term. Recommend to everyone.
I loved the bed. by far the most comfortable bed I’d slept in in Ukraine. the rooms were very modern, the bathroom was encased in glass and has a fancy feel.
