This downtown Chicago hotel is next to Millennium Park and 2 blocks from The Art Institute of Chicago. It offers stunning city views, on-site dining and elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 2716 reviews Good
In an ideal location directly connected to the McCormick Place convention center, this hotel has contemporary accommodations and first-class amenities and services, and is a short drive from downtown...
Score from 806 reviews Very good
In Chicago’s entertainment-filled River North neighborhood, this modern Chicago hotel is less than a half mile from the Magnificent Mile.
Score from 426 reviews Excellent
This downtown Chicago Hotel is located in the Loop, Chicago’s cultural and business center. It features an on-site restaurant and rooms with an iPod docking station and free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 548 reviews Very good
The room was very large and the shower was good. The internet worked fine as well.
We had a terrible experience with the front desk staff. Once we arrived, I've asked to split the payment within two cards (I was visiting Chicago for business, and received some pre-paid cards for expenses). The front-desk staff first suggested that I didn't want to pay for it, and then refused without any good reason. I would give his name here, but he was not wearing any name tag. Fortunately, a second employee arrived and accepted. Also, the hotel is pretty far from the center(15min bus), and with few attractions nearby.
Location close to the Mccormick Place
Quite noisy at night from the outside.
The Staff were helpful and very courteous. When I stayed I was in between living quarters. So I stayed there approximately three weeks and in that time I never had a negative encounter. Everyone was very courteous and I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. All I can say is keep up the good work!!!!!
I have nothing negative to say about this establishment.....
convenience of location in relation to conference venue. easy access to public transportation, taxis Helpful staff. comfortable room
Parking - no cost but one lot was not gated while the other one was. There was 1 1/2 times the space of other hotels. The air conditioner was not loud and the bath was continuously vented without a fan in the bathroom which made it quiet.
Very strong perfume scent in the main floor areas was almost choking. Breakfast was not included in room rate and no microwave in room. For all the extra space in the room they should have put in something to sit on beside the lone desk chair.
Close proximity to McCormick Convention center, Quiet hotel
Secluded from the shopping area and attractions
Large bedrooms and bath, quiet and relatively cheap. There is a bus stop outside. The subway is 15' walk.
There is nothing to do around there.
Thé proximity To downtown Chicago area.
Thé staff were a bit remote.
clean, big room, close to downtown
terrible noise and loud music from night club or restaurant at night
Clean, bright, nice hotel.
Our toilet didn't work even after maintenance came couple of times to fix it. Very inconvenient. We still had to pay full price.
Location near attractions I wanted to visit. Bus stop right outside the hotel.
Staff did not follow through with requests. Room was not cleaned during our stay. Double what was supposed to be charged to my debit card was charged and then charges that the hotel said my bank secured on my card for incidentals was also on my account when I returned home. My bank has never charged this before. It took talking to someone at the front desk, a phone call and an email to get charges taken off and I am still waiting for them to actually be removed. When I told the manager of my displeasure with my stay she simply said she was sorry the hotel did not live up to my expectation.
The location is pretty good for drivers, close to highway and major arterials. Parking is free and is located inside a fenced off area with 24 hr security. The room we got is huge, with two queen beds and an extra den area with sofa, coffee table, etc.
The surrounding area looks a bit rundown and may make people feel unsafe at night. The closest subway is 1km away in Chinatown.
Loved everything ...
staff,, the location [away from busy city traffic},rooms
empty lots around hotel
Good Location, free parking, free wifi
Very HUMID rooms - needed to keep air conditioner on all the time, so room was freezing cold, but only way to get humidity out of room. Checked with other guests, who had the same problem, even on other floors of the hotel.
Proximity to Chicago downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful.
No pool and adjoining restaurant serving breakfast was too expensive.
This hotel is goregous inside and the rooms are very large. there is a fridge and a coffee maker in each room, but no microwave. The beds and pillows are comfy. The room was very quiet. Choose a room on the 5th floor overlooking the parking lot. It is quiter than the other side.
We had to wait almost an hour for a parking spot to open up. The parking lot is too small for the number of guests . Once we got the car parked, we left it there for three days, afraid to lose our space. Bus 29 stops right out front and for $2.50, takes you right downtown to nave Pier. You can walk to Cellular Field to see a ballgame. No stores or restaurants near the hotel. Take the bus to Jewel grocery store to get food (the delie is great there)
room not cleaned location
Large and clean room. Comfortable beds.
The only bad side far from the city center.
Nice Big Lobby Nice spacious rooms Hotel Room was fairly designed Room gets cleaned everyday so rooms are clean Beds are comparable to 5 star Hotel beds and are comfortable and clean Bath was clean and well maintained (Basins could use a vanity counter in marble or granite and this would make the bathrooms look luxurious) Free Parking Minutes from downtown During our stay we used to get back to the hotel late in the nights so hotel location appears to be safe in the night although the neighborhood looked very quiet and deserted. Overall no complaints stay.
Poor room lighting no overhead lighting in the room, just 2 table lamps and one floor lamp Common areas, lobby and guest room corridors need some renovation, carpets need to be changed. Lobby gets cleaned everyday with some cleaning liquids, these cleaning agents leave an intense unpleasant smell in the lobby and lobby smells all the time, the management should deal with this. Potential to be a chic hotel at budget price with minor renovations.
The staff and the location
Hard to access wi-fi. A little dated.
It is near from downtown and his price is good and the parking is free
Some stuff were old
my soap and shampoo dispenseres were empty and even after asking the front desk, were never refilled. I even left the dispensors open to show the cleaning staff, but they still did not refill the dispensers
Had a show at Mccormick Place. Rooms are large and it a very convenient location about .5 miles from the convention center. One of the best things is free parking. Hard to find downtown. I will stay there again.
Only negative thing was if you wanted to watch TV the picture quality was bad. Nice tv but bad picture.
