I liked everything about it.
The only problem I had was that one of the eyes on stove in room 301 didn't work.
The staff was nice.
The resort is old and needs to be renovated. Parking needs to be addressed. The parking stalls are small and to many concrete posts are in the way. So be very careful.
Convience of supplies in kitchen only needed a cookie sheet to complete
elevator was broken
King Suite - both living area and bedroom were ocean front, televisions were large flat screens, rooms were very clean, staff extremely friendly. The first floor restaurant is wonderful with great service - even gave me a homemade small loaf of cranberry bread and spread!
The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The lobby is in need of an update - not very welcoming.
Everything was great
We had an excellent view from our room on the fifth floor. We were able to view the ocean, see part of the Christmas lights on the boardwalk, and a stones throw from the play set. There is a table on wheels that slides under the desk that is convenient for extra eating or playing space for young children. We were able to cook all our meals at the room because the kitchen was so well stocked. The bar stools were perfect height for the counter and comfortable to sit on and watch out the patio window. All the staff were very polite and accommodating.
We had difficulty parking our conversion van in the garage due to its height. There were some spaces marked for large vehicles but they were occupied by small cars. The manager told us we were welcome to park in the staff parking lot. My husband and I had difficulty sleeping and had back aches in the morning. The pillows were worn out and the pillowcases were dirty or stained. I enjoyed sitting on the bar stools but they were hazardous for the little ones who climbed up and fell off them several times. The balcony and the crib were concerning because of the distance between the bars. I may have been overly cautious with my grandchildren (2-years and 4-years old) but it appeared that the little one could fall through if he turned sideways. Shortly after placing the little one in the crib he got his knee/leg caught between the bars. I moved him to my bed and put the 4-year old in the crib because she knew to keep arms and legs out of the bars.
The view from the room was excellent! Loved hearing the waves crash in.Extra bonus: the Christmas Lights view from the room! Very confortable feel!
Parking was a nightmare! The poles in the parking lot make it impossible to park trucks and larger vehicles. Trying to get up the narrow ramp and back down from 2nd floor: more horrid and frustrating then trying to park on the first floor! On the 6th night there we had to park in a little "rink a dink" parking lot 2 blocks from the room owned by the hotel behind an apartment building. Also, there was no where to load our vehicle when we were ready to leave, as there was no where to park. Very, very inconvenient parking facilities. Really needs to be updated for Expeditions, Tahoe's and such. Maybe they can label specific parking spaces like they have done for compact cars.
Very polite staff. Enjoyed the indoor pool considering we went in December. Also enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room. Enjoyed the full kitchen with a dishwasher and full size refrigerator.
Beds were hard and pillows were lumpy. Expected more comfort when I slept for the cost of the room.
It a small condo , living room /small kitchen.spa bath.was due to stay 2 nights Wednesday and Thursday. But due to last minute issues at home. Had to arrive day later.they were booked for my second night.wish they were not.
Too many mirrors.
I liked the separate bedroom from the rest of the suite. I also liked the kitchette, fully stocked with dishes and utinsels.
The bed and pillows need to upgraded. They were not comfortable.
I have stayed @ Four Sails several times now and each time it's perfect. Staff is wonderful, everything is spotless and location is perfect. It's older but well maintained, you won't find a better value on the boardwalk.
Location, room and amenities
Luggage Carts were ragedy.
Every room was relaxing. Loved the jacuzzi.
The bed was somewhat hard.
Overall, for the money, it was much better than expected. The room was big with a separate bedroom and a full kitchen. The jacuzzi tub was a pleasant surprise and worked well. The water stayed hot. We had great showers. The balcony was excellent as well as it stretched the entire length from the living room to the bedroom. The staff was also very friendly. We would definitely recommend
A bit outdated. The parking garage is pretty terrible. Good luck if you have a large car. Many times a long wait for the elevator.
THEY WERE DOING SOME UP DATES TO REST ROOM ON MY FLOOR.
Good location and excellent view of the ocean.
The following is my personal opinion about my stay at Four Sails: There was only one elevator, and it often wasn't running = which left people to walk the stairs to the floor they were on. It is an old building that needs repairs and updating = some of which was taking place outside of our door, and was very noisy. The beds were the pits = double size, horrible mattress, dirty sheets, and bugs. I complained to the staff about the sheets and they were changed. The first set had pubic hair on them, and the second top sheet was dirty, so we just didn't use it. I complained to the staff that something was biting me in the bed = one comment I got was , "You should see what we find in the couches." The side of the tub/shower was higher then my knees and it was very difficult to climb in and out of. If you have trouble climbing over something that high, you won't be taking a bath while staying here. The parking was more than extremely tight. The restaurant closed after lunch. There was nothing to do there = it isn't a 'resort'. They need a lot more sound proofing!
Pool room was cold.
the space and amenities at an excellent price
Location, value and staff
dated resort compared to other properties in the area.
I came here for my two year anniversary, and it was more than I had hoped for. The oceanfront was beautiful. The staff and overall stay was excellent. I will definitely be coming back for our next visit.
The room very clean , kitchen
The location and apartment feel
The location was fantastic. The entire hotel was clean and orderly, and appears to have been recently updated. The view was SPECTACULAR and the staff helpful. Our suite was at the end of the building, so we have a balcony facing both the ocean and Atlantic Avenue, which given the time of year was quiet and kind of pretty! The window in the bathroom made for a relaxing soak in the AMAZING tub.
The parking deck was a tad small but if you have a smaller vehicle, you should be ok.
