Waking up to see the beach and the jacuzzi tub.
The elevator went out and we had to walk from the 12th floor to the ground.
From the beginning of my stay, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The maid insured our room was immaculate on a daily basis and we truly had a wonderful stay. Everything we needed was in walking distance and the room/apartment (It was!!) was comfortable in every way.
The baggage carts are supermarket shopping carts but hey, for a wonderful hotel at such a modest price, I'm sure you can overlook that.Plus it actually does the same thing, you just don't look as cute pushing it lol
View & Kitchen
the hot water was set for trickle , no pressure & slow . Took an hour to fill the bath & when full some of the jets didn't work. Also found broken glass pieces on the floor of the bathroom. This place was a nice place at one time , now getting worn out and showing it wear ! Need to find a new spot! Been here done that!
The room rate was very good. They lived up to there word when they say they are going to do something
The cleanliness was very bad, the tv reception was not that good.
I like how the room reminded me of a small apartment. Kitchen utilities were all there including a pizza cutter, can opener, plates, and baking pans. All we had to do was bring the food and eat comfortably without having to buy anything extra like plates.
I didn't like that it was winter. This is the perfect place for the summer.
view was great, must been fab in spring, summer, beach right there there. Balcony large, lots of room...housekeeping girls were great. Very pleasant and helpful...
Hooks coming off walls and doors, could do without mirrors. Bedroom to small,no place for luggage.Pillows awful,tv station poor. Tub way to big....hard to get into, dangerous. Towels, poor quality, too small. Gym a joke. One of your front desk people was rude, like a bother to person.
The spa tub is big enough for two people to enjoy! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need even a dishwasher!!!
There was some construction going on on the floors above us, but we did visit during the off season.
renovations were being done during our stay
I loved the location, free parking and the size of the rooms. Also the price was great.
Still itching after arriving home from sleeping on their beds (bed bugs or something). Fitness center and pool on a scale of 1-10,I rate a zero.
Room 1204 - Awesome views in every room, plus a large balcony. Pleasantly, surprised at that quality of kitchenware. Rooms were clean. We enjoyed the laid backed feel of this older resort.
Yes, updates would be great, but not at the cost of the calmness. Oh ... almost forgot ... the parking deck was not fun.
Great stay and excellent staff
Was peaceful get away.
Elevator controls on 2 floor had 2 down buttons. We used stairs first time there..
The room and space was awesome.
No WiFi and when I called the front desk the clerk was rude. She told me they already new about the problem. She said they were doing the best they could do. She did not even apologize. Very poor customer service.
I liked everything about it.
The only problem I had was that one of the eyes on stove in room 301 didn't work.
The staff was nice.
The resort is old and needs to be renovated. Parking needs to be addressed. The parking stalls are small and to many concrete posts are in the way. So be very careful.
Convience of supplies in kitchen only needed a cookie sheet to complete
elevator was broken
King Suite - both living area and bedroom were ocean front, televisions were large flat screens, rooms were very clean, staff extremely friendly. The first floor restaurant is wonderful with great service - even gave me a homemade small loaf of cranberry bread and spread!
The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The lobby is in need of an update - not very welcoming.
Everything was great
We had an excellent view from our room on the fifth floor. We were able to view the ocean, see part of the Christmas lights on the boardwalk, and a stones throw from the play set. There is a table on wheels that slides under the desk that is convenient for extra eating or playing space for young children. We were able to cook all our meals at the room because the kitchen was so well stocked. The bar stools were perfect height for the counter and comfortable to sit on and watch out the patio window. All the staff were very polite and accommodating.
We had difficulty parking our conversion van in the garage due to its height. There were some spaces marked for large vehicles but they were occupied by small cars. The manager told us we were welcome to park in the staff parking lot. My husband and I had difficulty sleeping and had back aches in the morning. The pillows were worn out and the pillowcases were dirty or stained. I enjoyed sitting on the bar stools but they were hazardous for the little ones who climbed up and fell off them several times. The balcony and the crib were concerning because of the distance between the bars. I may have been overly cautious with my grandchildren (2-years and 4-years old) but it appeared that the little one could fall through if he turned sideways. Shortly after placing the little one in the crib he got his knee/leg caught between the bars. I moved him to my bed and put the 4-year old in the crib because she knew to keep arms and legs out of the bars.
The view from the room was excellent! Loved hearing the waves crash in.Extra bonus: the Christmas Lights view from the room! Very confortable feel!
Parking was a nightmare! The poles in the parking lot make it impossible to park trucks and larger vehicles. Trying to get up the narrow ramp and back down from 2nd floor: more horrid and frustrating then trying to park on the first floor! On the 6th night there we had to park in a little "rink a dink" parking lot 2 blocks from the room owned by the hotel behind an apartment building. Also, there was no where to load our vehicle when we were ready to leave, as there was no where to park. Very, very inconvenient parking facilities. Really needs to be updated for Expeditions, Tahoe's and such. Maybe they can label specific parking spaces like they have done for compact cars.
Very polite staff. Enjoyed the indoor pool considering we went in December. Also enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room. Enjoyed the full kitchen with a dishwasher and full size refrigerator.
Beds were hard and pillows were lumpy. Expected more comfort when I slept for the cost of the room.
It a small condo , living room /small kitchen.spa bath.was due to stay 2 nights Wednesday and Thursday. But due to last minute issues at home. Had to arrive day later.they were booked for my second night.wish they were not.
Too many mirrors.
I liked the separate bedroom from the rest of the suite. I also liked the kitchette, fully stocked with dishes and utinsels.
The bed and pillows need to upgraded. They were not comfortable.
I have stayed @ Four Sails several times now and each time it's perfect. Staff is wonderful, everything is spotless and location is perfect. It's older but well maintained, you won't find a better value on the boardwalk.
