Spacious room based on this price level.
1. The heating system takes a very long time to warm up. I stayed for hours in the freezing room until the heating warms up after a long time. 2. There is no kind of security gate and kinda open to the road outside.
Price & location
The Shower3x3 feet not clean , mold on the bottom. The floor leaning toward room , the leaning toilet, no bars or hooks to hung towels, no place to put any cosmetic bag. In the room a dust behind furniture at least 40 years old. I know it's a budget motel. A saying you get what you pay for is wrong. You always should pay for clean place , not fancy. Clean is a must for every place on the planet.
The staff always around seeming to be watching my every move.
motel only offers basics
Locked ourselves out of room early in am and they came to our rescue. Pet friendly.
Condition of room. Lack of cleanliness No cold water in shower Very outdated bath Beat up door
Mold in shower, toilet seat fell off with first use, two out of four total lights didn't work, heat only worked on high, fridge is truly mini and not cold. It was a very thrown together feel. Not very welcoming
The staff went out of their way to be helpful
Wiring all over the room and noisy plumbing
Location was great !
NO blankets ! cold night ! TV stuck out into walking area ! NO kleenex.
Everything went smoothly.
Had to ring the bell several times before someone woke up and let us in.
Privacy, Internet worked well Hosts were pleasant. No road noiseR
ROOM had not been vacuumed when we arrived. Beds were not made daily. No tissues in tissue holder. Beds slid off box spring.
Room facilities Clean conveniently located Staff very friendly and helpful Appearance of motel very nice
Would have liked a microwave Microwave in office not clean
Good location just outside downtown Rutland. Good value.
Shower, (Need more room)
Poor lighting Uncomfortable pillows Black mold in shower Sloppy maintenance, painting, and general cleanliness.
The staff were very friendly and the location was good.
The rooms are outdated. The fixtures could use some updating.
Quiet good price food and facilities nearby great
The heat and the TV and the lights worked fine.
The bed was too hard. The bathroom was way too small. Didn't fit into the shower at all. Walls too thin to hear patron next door yelling all night at his girlfriend, wife or mistress. I do not recommend this place for any one to stay at.... I understand now why the reason for the cheap rates. Will not go back to this place ever again.
Bugs on our bed
The motel is owned and run by a husband and wife. The wife was nice and helpful but the husband was sullen and even a little surly. The wife moved me to room 17 which was a more newly renovated room. It had been painted and had a real mattress pad and hot water and no noisy neighbors. I used my own comforter - I never trust motel comforters (yuck). That room was clean and cheap. I stayed 5 nights (for a conference) and have no bites or infestations!
I had to pay for the whole 5 nights upon checking in- that should've been a clue to check out the room before signing for payment- my bad. It was awful- smelly carpet, mattress pad was an old blanket, no tub, just a shower stall that didn't have hot water, dirty walls, loud neighbors. Gross! No bugs though ( except for a few spiders). There was a few month's-worth of dust behind the dresser and I started sneezing as soon as I got in there. The only good thing was clean sheets. I asked for another room and the wife gave me a better one- not great, but newly renovated and one I could stand. If you have a strong constitution, you may be able to stay there, but ask for a newly renovated room.
Quaint facility, pet friendly knowledgeable staff all other motels nearby are charging 100 to 250 nightly.
beds were comfortable
room was worn and outdated
