Too many people in the lobby
Your welcoming check-in staff were fabulous. They helped me with maps, restaurant information and there was even a person to help out when the line got long. Great service!
The lower floors got really busy and noisy there was nothing really to stand out for Hyatt standards!!
The central location of the hotel was excellent I was given a choice of floor for the room, which was rather nice.
No High Def. TV available; restaurant way overpriced - $4 for a cup of coffee? Come on. Maid service less than what used to, inconsistent. No free USA Today - much less expensive motels often provide this.
I didn't like the price for parking.
We had made our reservations through a third party online resource. When we arrived aty e Hyatt, they had no record indicating our reservations despite our confirmation paperwork and email. They did accommodate us, but instead of the king room we reserved, they were only able to give us a room with two double beds. Disappointing.
When we arrive, we booked a room that looks in photos quite beautiful according to the Hyatt standings but the real room was not at all what the photos showed. The room had a terrible smell (they said it is a non-smoking hotel and smell to cigarette). The room looks small, old and not clean. When we tried to left the property to go to the Radisson Blu (this one I really recommend it) the staff wanted to charged us for one night more when we tried to left the hotel one day after our arrival. This is one of the worst hotels I have been. It is expensive for what it is.
Mostly my fault because I didn't put the do not disturb sign on the door but at 8:15 am house keeping was knocking on my door to clean the room. Kinda early for me while on vacation.
Bed was comfy, room was nice and updated. Pretty clean, staff was courteous. My teenage daughter and I stayed here and we felt safe.
Friendly staff, clean rooms
try get a room facing the river - amazing view on the city
Showering in a bath tub for this kind hotel is really out of date! The two towers make the hotel layout confusing.
Location and room was really good
it was like staying in a train station. Trying to figure out where check-in was located, banks of elevators, which side, where exactly the room night be hiding.
i liked that the elevators "locked" after hours requiring you to present your room key to operate. Nice for those of us who are single women and considering what was going on in the different levels, it was nice to feel safe.
Staff, location, accommodations,service!
One staff person and smell of smoke first day
Clean, Conference space was great and pretty.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was meticulously clean and very comfortable. The locations was a short walk from Millennium station and access to the "L" was also just a short walk. It was great to be along the river, even though our room didn't have a river view. We enjoyed walking Michigan Ave. and went to several museums and restaurants in the area around Water Tower Place.
Our comfortable stay turned stressful when we received the bills for our two rooms. When I called to confirm our reservation prior to our trip, the Hyatt listed us as "no show". Even though Booking.com contacted and fixed the reservation ahead of time, the hotel still charged us "no show and occupancy fees" resulting in over $400 being charged to our credit card. This included the $150 fees for "incidentals". I had to contact Booking.com for a second time. While the front desk was willing to adjust our bill, that money was not available for the last day of our vacation.
Concierge, bell service, bar staff & front desk staff were friendly and willing to help our large group have a comfortable stay.
Excellent service and accommodations. Quite possibly the best room service breakfast we've ever had! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay there again in the future!
We had 2 maids that we didn't hear knock that just came right in our room. Once was when we were still sleeping and scared us awake. About 8am was the first time. We also had a lady come by about 9am to check our fridge and fill it up. Felt like we didn't have privacy. The rest of the stay was fine.
That there where not bath towels for 4 people in the room - only for 3
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wish there was a pool.
Great price for location. Great location. Attentive and friendly staff.
Parking fee was really high.
Loved the location and great value.
Front desk worked hard to make me happy!
I love The Bed!
the high price of the room. we returned to our room on the afternoon of the first night (of our two-night stay) we stayed, and our key cards didn't work. we went to the desk and they said our reservation was only for one night. we proved to them via the confirmation e-mail that we did have two nights; in the meantime, the plans i had with my cousin to watch the NCAA basketball games fell through, thus making our two day stay unnecessary and worthless. bathroom door didn't close. no view except an office building across the street. despite the hefty price, there was no breakfast included; there was also no microwave or refrigerator in the room.
really nothing. room was apparently made for people with disabilities. the bathroom door didn't close.
Coordination with housekeeping could be better, as they opened the door, but not a huge deal.
