Really can’t say anything bad about the property at all. Friendly staff, clean comfortable, quiet room. Good water pressure and hot water.
We had dinner next door which was very good and as it was a Wednesday got free pie with our dinner. The front desk didn’t recommend it so we had low expectations but we didn’t want to drive and it was a decent meal for a reasonable price.

The hotel was DISGUSTING. Outdate shower. Dark scary hallways. The carpets were dirty. The room was not clean. There were stains on the chairs. Old tile from the 70’s in bathroom. Couldn’t adjust the temperature of the water. We were NOT notified that the lounge/bar/restaurant was not in service until AFTER our reservation was made. It was an absolute nightmare and absolutely disgusting. Old, disgusting and dirty. There was blood on curtains. False advertising with pictures on website.

It's my home town so I know it well and could show my friends from Germany what a small town in the U.S.A. is like compared to the major cities they/we visited. Pendleton might be small, but it has a creative community and much to offer during the spring through fall. I like the history surrounding Pendleton and would like to tour the underground cave. The restaurants were adequate, but nothing to write home about. I'm not particularly fond of the one-way streets in old downtown Pendleton. Pendleton is a good stopping point for us when we are traveling to the Portland area and the Rugged Country Lodge fits both our needs and our price range. Very friendly too.

To be honest there isn't much to do in Pendleton.
To be honest there isn't much to do in Pendleton. We did the underground tours which was cool but other than that there isn't much to do there. I was a bit disappointed. But if you do go there check out OMG Burgers they are amazing all around.

Everything was filthy. There wasn’t even a clean, blanket or sheet on the bed. It was just the cover that no one ever washes anyway. It made my daughter and I feel very uncomfortable even being there. Throughout the whole entire hotel, the carpet was stained and nasty, and the pool was like a pond not a pool.
