no-nonsense hotel rooms, great mac and cheese in the restaurant, good wine list. It was also fairly central for walking to movie theater, Staples Center, grocery store and department store (Macy's); nice staff. Rooms are a bit small and bathrooms are VERY small. I would stay here again!
As many of you know, LA is expensive. This place is a very nice and affordable hotel in a good area. Very trendy and modern. Nice restaurant and bar downstairs in lobby. Wine bar in basement. Rooms have extremely nice showers and bathrooms. Each room has LED Samsung on the wall. Beds are very comfortable. Nice organic soaps and water provided with rooms. Very happy with this place.
There was no water, toilet, sink, shower, it got shut off for a couple hours. Could not shower or get ready for our dinner reservations
Noise and room type. Very small prison like room!
Close to Staples Centre
Bathroom not user friendly
the hotel is stylish and they had a nice restaurant.
the staff at the reception was terrible. he did not understand our reservation. He was ready to take extra fees if I did not mention. At the end, he had no apology for it. What a rude guy he was!!
Great location-Good value for the money.
Poor lighting throughout the entire property. Rooms were small and the bathroom was even smaller. Every day we were there we had to get our room key reprogrammed. No explanation.
Hotel felt nice overall. Most staff were really good.
Internet was slow on some days making working from hotel impossible. Lack of parking a bit annoying. No help w bags.
Location was good, walking distance to Staple Centre & LA Live. Bus stop directly outside the hotel. And a IHOP restaurant across the road. Walking distance to subway train station. Staff were very accommodating and hotel felt very personal.
There was a musty smell to the bedrooms, room was small and looked nothing like the photos. Wifi isn't free, you actually pay an extra $14 per night to give you wifi, water in the room (which was forgotten a couple of times) and breakfast - very simple continental and coffee is horrible: we went across the road to IHOP every morning instead.
Location Hotel booked a Starline tour for me and arranged drive
Small room Had read a review saying the bed was hard and it was. It fell like I was sleeping on cement. Didn't sleep well.
unfriendly staff, 14 dollars extra fee per day not written in the reservation
Good wi-fi Clean Perfect location downtown Resturent is good
Room on back alley was toooooo noisy Overcharged my credit card upon check in without telling me Lighting is poor in general Elevator and reception smells strange, not horrible but not pleasant
The hotel was absolutely stunning inside and out! It is in a fantastic location. We were able to walk to one of my favorite rooftop bars downtown in about 7 minutes. It is also near the metro, so it gave us even more access to a lot of things in downtown LA.
The inside of the hotel had very minimal lighting - which made it dark and difficult to see. I also called the front desk several times before my arrival to complete a CC authorization form. Each time I got a new person who said that it hadn't been taken care of and needed more information. The day before check-in, I spoke with a gentleman who said it was taken care of and applied to the account, but when I called the next day to confirm they said that it still wasn't done.
The rooms are too dark---needs more lightning for sure!
Great location, friendly staff, coffee is ok.
Expensive, lots of noises at night, which botters at sleel time.
In my three weeks travelling round America this place was by far the most modern of any of the hotels I stayed at. Beautiful flat screen TV, iPod docking station, wireless keyboard (nice touch for those away on business) and other bits and pieces. There were also quite a few mirrors in the room. Seems like a strange thing to comment on but it makes life super easy for the ladies going out on the town to do makeup etc.
There were non-optional service fees and a few other hidden things that I was unaware of when I booked this hotel. Their standard room price did increase quite a bit with all these add ons. Just be wary of this when booking - in this case it pays to ask. The room did smell quite strongly of cleaning products when I arrived but I guess it's better to be clean than dirty!
Great location in downtown LA. The rooms were nothing like I ever seen before. Beautiful hotel on the inside and outside.
Comfortable bed & bedding Continental breakfast
Comfortable beds, nice staff, good location.
The bathroom door was a sliding frosted glass door, which was noisy and lacked the privacy we wanted. There was a beeping that turned out to be the server room (they moved us promptly - but seriously - figure out how to make the beeping stop!). The clock (in both rooms) did not light up so you couldn't read it at night, which is really the only time I need a hotel clock. Also, be aware of the $14 surcharge per night for all of the extras (you have no choice) - wifi, water, and other things I can't remember and do not total up to $14 per night. Luckily, the place was pretty cheap so that $14 still made it a better deal than comparable nearby properties.
The room was great - large comfortable bed, very nice shower, good amenities. The bar and restaurant I would recommend as well, and on top of that there is a great wine bar downstairs. Biggest risk is not going out :)
cant fault the hotel, im like family now. O hotel is always my first option when downtown LA
Location is excellent and staff are very kind helpfull and professional
Breakfast was very poor and food was not fresh for rate I would not advise anyone to go!!!!
Comfy bed, basement bar was very nice, modern decor, central to most venues in LA, within walking distance of stores
Are AC unit didn't work and the rooms were very small
The staff and location
The room was tiny for the cost and no amneties
Location to downtown and USC. Parking adjacent to hotel.
Poor lighting throughout hotel. Thermostat was very difficult to control. The room was too warm, and we had trouble cooling it off. Had an uncomfortable, fitful night of sleep.
