room was very clean, housekeeping was attentive, in room brewed coffee, refrigerator. coming back for another week next month
expensive wifi was next to worthless, if you really need reliable high speed internet look elsewhere. pinged at 1250 and fastest download was .98 m and slowest was 33 K. Early morning noise on north side from trolley across the river.
Vending machines, bed, air conditioner, cable, swimming pool.
Driving in and out of there because its so near the super busy freeways.
The bed was very comfortable
Small elevator, old and outdated. Fan in bathroom very noisy. Refrigerator door needs to open on the right side (other side). It made it very awkward to open it. It should open toward the wall. Not ENOUGH plugs. No microwave in room and the one on the 2nd floor had very low power. Having to walk down to the 2nd floor was an inconvience In itself. Think I had to re-key the room key 6-7 times not really sure.
Price with the room
Good price. Outside there are vending machines with cola and ice cream.
There were some spots on the carpet, but everything else was clean. The passage to the rooms is along the walls, and the windows in the rooms are looking on that passage, so you have to either keep the curtains shut or let the people passing by look into your room. The audibility is excellent. If someone is talking outside, you hear every word. When I was checking in, their payment terminal didn't work, so I had to pay for the first night with cash. Later they authorized my card by phone for the other nights. Internet access is awful. Very slow and unstable, and you have to pay for it.
No frills or bells. Just low price place to sleep.
Old building. Small room.
did not clean the room while we were gone for 6 hours from the morning till we came back in late afternoon. Room smells too much air-sprayer.
Good value for the money you pay. Includes good coffee breakfast in the room Very comfortable bed. Flexible staff when asked for a (cleaner) room change. Security barrier for only customers. Very safe
Only cash accepted. Electricity issues (fixing works when we came) No Cable TV Need to have a car to move Old building, need some maintenance.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent was the proximity to all of San Diego's best attractions! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
The building is old and close to the highway, but the staff and management runs a very professional establishment!
The price, nice view
The outside appearance, walkways not appealing
Paper thin walls I heard a crazy couple fight all night.
Security is too extreme. Makes you wonder if there's something wrong with the location No-frills place and the utilities/shared area is pretty lacking
Staff was great, room comfortable & clean.
The staff were really very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay after stopping at Hotel 6 in Ventura and it was appalling. $75 dollars for a room with nothing, no Wi-Fi, no fridge, no microwave, just a room with a bed. After that, our stay in San Diego was exactly the opposite and we enjoyed it very much.
Everything about it was superb. to the rear of the Inn is the San Diego River wildlife sanctuary. To the front is a freeway, but my room faced the freeway and with the door closed, I couldn't hear it. Clean, recently rmoled/redecorated, it looked and felt new. A comfortable night's sleep! My room was $40 a night and my friend saying down the street in a similar motel paid $180 per night!
They allow pets, under a certain weight. It's right off the highway so it's super convenient to get around. The parking is gated and there is plenty of it. On the whole it's a quiet of. The price was affordable for a whole week.
Most of the staff is super friendly, however five nights into our seven night stay one of them called up to our room to tell us they HAD to clean our room the next day. We were traveling with two dachshunds, and we said fine the dogs will be in their crate so the maid is free to come in. We were out the next day and came back to find they hadn't cleaned the room at all, even though they called to yell at us about it. There were holes in the bed spread AND comforter. The WiFi is terrible even though you have to pay for it. I was afraid to shower because I legitimately thought I was going to fall through the floor because it gave way so easily. I'm seriously concerned about the stability of the flooring because there are so many dips and what feel like holes in the carpet.
1. low price during fall/winter period. 2. allows pets, but they place restrictions by breed.
1. musty smell from outdoor carpet in open air hallway. 2. beds too soft. 3. carpet smelly in room. 4. price too high for low quality amenities. 5. pet restrictions.
Great Value, easy to get to and great service from staff.
Towels were very thin
It was cheap...
The internet is unusable even at the most expensive option.
Price. Free Parking (secure) Safe area Friendly staff
Bit out of town Showing its age but reflected in the price
bed was more comfortable than expected.
Being on public transportation, the bus did not run late enough for me. The hotel did not have an airport shuttle to help me get there. A suggestion would be to have a nearby hotel provide a shuttle for a fee billed to the hotel.
Good price in a good location! !
friendly and efficient staff, comfortable rooms
