Wyndham Garden San Diego Pleasant 6.9 I liked that I didn't need to use my personal blankets that I took from home, in case I found unwanted surprises on the beds like my experiences in other hotels. This hotel actually has very clean beds and sheets.
Hotel del Coronado Very good 8.2 The decor, the size of the rooms, wonderful staff. Everything was great.
Days Hotel San Diego - Hotel Circle / near Sea World Good 7.7 Very friendly staff especially frontline & their shuttle us driver very obliging
Porto Vista Hotel Good 7.5 The staff was friendly, front desk and valet; valet was very helpful with directions. Everything was clean and had a nice restaurant over looking the harbour. Had a complimentary breakfast, free wifi and free shuttle that drops off and picks up. Everything is of walking distance to the left is gas lamp to the right is little Italy. And only blocks away from the harbour. It's 10 minutes driving distance to SD Zoo. My kids and I felt comfortable and safe.
Surfer Beach Hotel Good 7.5 Comfortable and close to everything in Pacific Beach.
Tower 23 Hotel Wonderful 9 Very modern recently remodeled building, everything is kept immaculate and is too of the line. The staff is super friendly and will be coming back next time I'm in town.
Paradise Point Resort & Spa Good 7.4 Amazing hotel and grounds. Very safe for children and food and pool area were great. Rooms were lovely.
Blue Sea Beach Hotel Very good 8.5 The hotel is well located if you are interested in visiting the beach, the zoo and Torey Pines to hike. Easy walk to restaurants and fantastic if your family enjoys walking, running or cycling. They offer on site parking and serve chilled water and apples all day long. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego Excellent 8.9 Location, view, facilities, staff, rooms all excellent
Bahia Resort Hotel Very good 8.3 Wasn't expecting something as great as that! So happy with our room & staff were very helpful, wish we had more time there!!
Hard Rock Hotel San Diego Very good 8.3 I liked the location of the hotel and the hotel it's self ! The staff was absolutely amazing, the room was awesome, room service was delicious. I highly recommend anyone to stay here while visiting San Diego!
La Jolla Cove Suites Good 7.9 Loved the view from the room, the location right across from the ocean and close to shopping and restaurants.
La Jolla Shores Hotel Very good 8.1 Easy beach access, comfortable beds, kid friendly, helpful staff.
Pacific Terrace Hotel Wonderful 9 This hotel is head and shoulders above the rest! My wife and I travel the country and do some traveling abroad, and Pacific Terrace ranks at the very top! PERFECT location and world class customer service is the reason we will return and spread the news about this gem of hotel and staff!
Wyndham San Diego Bayside Very good 8 Location was great. Staff was awesome. Walked into my room and it had a heavy smoke smell. I thought we could just air it out but it didn't work and once I went to the front desk they worked their magic to move to another room.

    The Art of Easy Living

Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favorite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.

The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. As original Spanish mission and first in California, it's has been relocated to the Mission Valley area, and Old Town San Diego still has many Colonial buildings and quirky shops. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.

The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbor seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.

Just over the border from Mexico’s Tijuana, San Diego has a distinctly Latin American vibe and a variety of accommodations encompassing apartments, motels, B&Bs and hotels. See Booking.com for the best deals.

Hotels that guests love in San Diego

    • Location on hotel circle gave good access to San Diego at a competitive price. Free car parking was more than adequate (we had had to pay $25/night for parking at city centre hotel on previous evening) Restaurant provided more than adequate choice at reasonable prices.

    • Outside of the Gas Lamp area, I like staying at hotels in the Hotel Circle area. The price is economical and the hotels in this area are all within a mile of items of interest (Sea World, trolley, mall, restaurants). I've also stayed at other thrifty hotels further out in San Diego (Kearney Mesa) and they were miles from anything of interest.

    • Everything was perfect as a 1st time guest of this hotel. The location is perfect as I was right on the beach and had access to everything imaginable in that area, from restaurants to tge beach and pier itself. I will definitely stay here every time I'm in San Diego! !

    • The hotel is on Hotel Circle which makes it very easy to get to just about every part of San Diego within a few minutes drive. Also, the staff was as kind as could be.

    • It was on Hotel Circle making it close to everything you want in San Diego.
