FAQs about hotels in Los Angeles

City of Angels

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.

Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.

And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present.  Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.

Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

They tried to charge $50 for parking and after 8:00 p.m. you can park on the street with meter parking and they failed to mention that their breakfast consisted of one apple elementary juice and many muffins and four ounces of water the likelihood of me staying there again is zero to none

I was really surprised at how good my sleep was, even though the hotel is right near the busy airport! There are so many fascinating things to see there! If you're planning a sightseeing tour, it's a great idea to book a couple of days in advance.

    Homeless every corner, so sad.

Homeless every corner, so sad. There was a convenience store across the street, we wanted to go there and purchase water bottles everyday, or maybe grab something else for the kids before going to bed. But outside the store there were always 2 or 3 homeless and it looked very dangerous, so we never went to purchase something there and took the Hotel option which was very good but more expensive. Uber or Lyft are always available.

    I enjoyed this trip.

I enjoyed this trip. I was mainly here for a concert, but I turned it into a trip for myself. I went to many of the touristy places ,such as the Hollywood Wax Museum,. The Hollywood Museum, Madame Tussands, Ripleys - all were a treat! I also Uber'd to other places, such as a handful of LA's cemeteries. I think it's easy to get around. But you do need to leave at specific time of days - for example, either early to mid morning. Otherwise, you're fighting traffic big time! Noting of course I am from a large city, and am used to traffic. If you're okay with large amounts of people, then a walk along the Hollywood Walk of Fame would be for you. LA does get incredibly hot at times, so make sure you have sunscreen, a hat, and long sleeves if you can manage it.

There is so much to see here.

There is so much to see here. Lots of history, lots of famous and notable sights and we were mostly able to avoid bad traffic. We did one and a half days of sight seeing around Hollywood and Santa Monic a/Venice Beach, one day at Universal Studios (which is both a theme park attraction and a studio tour), and one day at Disneyland which was out of the way but still a reason for our visit. We could have spent one more day sightseeing to go over to downtown LA or drive the PCH, but it was a pretty memorable trip.

The price realted to the ubication was amazing even on december holidays. The place is in front of the Doubly Teather with view to the wall of the hollywood stars. However if you have a bad luck and probably paying the cheapest tariff the room coul be more like a shelter than a hostel with people on drugs. Neverthelss, I asked for a change and the new room was totally different very clean and very confrotable.

Excellent cost-benefit report at a typical standard found in the Best Western hotels chain. Free parking, breakfast included, and several amenities in the room. If you count their value (i.e., for a family of four members), you end up with one of the cheapest accommodations in LA at Best Western standards (i.e., cleanliness, etc).

It seemed to be one of the cheapest hotels we could find (obviously without staying in an absolute dive). The location isn't too bad in terms of visiting Hollywood, although we did have a car which made traveling around easier. The fact it had parking was a plus.
