We are a family of 4, came to stay at Garland to be close to the Universal Studios. Garland has a personable feel to it that started with the check in. Staff members are very welcoming. It is not a big hotel but the premises are very spacious and the quality of services is very high. The room was very clean and decorated with taste but not pretentious. That was expected for the price. The beds are very comfortable and so are the pillows. We got such a good night's sleep there. The room was quiet too. Now the restaurant is another highlight. Very tasty food and we did not have to go anywhere: had breakfast and dinner there. Make sure you make dinner reservations because it gets busy. We have not used the pool or gym because there was no time for it. We did use a fusball table. What a great entertainment for kids after a day in Universal! There is also a nice souvenir store at the hotel, which sells neat quality things instead of junky stuff so common elsewhere. The hotel also provides a free trolley that can take you there. It runs every hour but we used uber to get to universal, it is about 10$.

A very nice and exquisite boutique hotel in Hollywood, right next to some boutique apartments, and landmarks down the Hollywood Hills, walkable towards TCL Chinese Theater. I am very fortunate to stay in the room named after Bette Davis, which you will find is how they label their room. The room is absolutely stunning in Chinoiserie Style, with all the decorations on point. The staff is friendly and helpful. Had the most amazing stay in Hollywood that I would not forget.

Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present.  Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.

Loved Venice Beach for its diversity and great swimming beach. Visited Santa Monica as well which was also lovely. We rented an apartment which meant we could eat at home, supermarkets offered great ready made salad and hot food buffet style

Although we managed to see everything we had planned over three full days, I will remember this city for its unreliable public transport—waiting 30 minutes for the metro (whereas elsewhere it runs every 3–5 minutes) and 40–50 minutes for buses. Don't think a car will save you from the traffic jams, either. The distances between points are incredibly vast.

The city buildings were very beautiful and nostagic. The traffic builds your patience. The large park with a playground the lake was cool, but the water in the lake was discustingly dirty. There are not enough left turn signals. Watch where you park, most places are paid parking. Walgreens was a normal store, with free customer parking in the lot.

Los Angeles is a fantastic city with such a fun atmosphere, especially if you love movies and everything around Hollywood. We really enjoyed seeing the Hollywood Sign and the Walk of Fame, driving through Beverly Hills and spending some time at Venice Beach. There is so much to see and every area has its own vibe.

I stayed in the Fairfax/Wilshire area for its proximity to LACMA and the Academy of Motion Pictures Museum and the nice new subway stop on the D line. I ate most of my meals at the fabulous Farmers' Market across the street. I did not have a car but I got around well enough on foot or via bus or subway. LA is so sprawling that it's really necessary to have a car to get to places like Griffith Observatory and the Getty, but I knew I couldn't see everything in a short visit. I took an Amtrak train for a day trip to San Juan Capistrano and toured the old Mission there (incredible gardens!) and had a perfect meal at Trevor's at the Tracks. I also visited the Broad Gallery and the ASU Fashion Museum. I was very pleased with my visit and would like to go back.

It was better than 2009 when we were continually harassed by Hawkers as we walked along HB. But it still looks dirty and smells. Food was good and we enjoyed Johnny Rockets and The Oriental Bistro. Universal Studios & Warner Bros. were excellent.

Unforgettable stay, wonderful hotel, dream of being in Los Angeles and Hollywood fulfilled. I booked a hotel with a view of the city and thanks to the nice man at the reception desk I got a beautiful corner room with an unforgettable fabulous view of Los Angeles down town and the Roosevelt Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location in a beautiful shopping centre with direct access to the Dolby Theater.

The pictures on the listing are incredibly misleading, what I thought was going to be a small cramped apartment in DTLA was actually incredibly spacious with amazing facilities. As you open your door, it literally leads into the most amazing rooftop patio area with barbeques and an amazing view of Los Angeles. Much better than most AirBnBs and Hotels combined that I've stayed at in LA.
