Hotel in LAX Area, Los Angeles
Located just 1312 feet from Los Angeles International Airport with free 24-hour airport shuttles, this hotel offers easy access to the city center. I had to make a short notice reservation due to the fact my previous reservation at the four points Sheraton was unsatisfactory. I arrived only a few minutes after I made this reservation and the hotel agent worked with me and helped me get registered even though the registration never arrived through booking.com. The manager also was very helpful and when he heard about my bad experience with the previous hotel he gave me vouchers for the restaurant. I have stayed here many times (approximately once a month) and have been highly satisfied with the service I have received.

The hotel should be reported to the health department for violating cleanliness standards. They get a ZERO from me and my wife. They should be audited by the health department. The sheets in te bed were not changed and very gooey both on the sheets and on the furniture, I had the night manager Evelyn and Anthony(Food and beverage) come to our room and see how horrible they are. The Hyatt Regency should be hut down for an audit. They will not pass especially during Covid-19 still being around. I am disgusted.
Los Angeles itself is too huge to comrehend. We spent our time in Venice, Santa monica and Hollywood. The beach is incredible. No commuter traffic so you need a car. Driving here is hard so be safe on the roads.
I live 2 1/2 hours away so I know that I can drive up at any time. My favorite places are museums - The Getty being number one. If you like amusement places - you have such a large choice. Beach - huge stretches of them - park on the street to make it cheaper and use a wagon to bring stuff to the sand. If you want to just look at mansions, drive on most streets in Beverly Hills - I loved Beverly Drive. If you like to drive, try Mulholland Drive for lovely scenery. This trip I chose to just indulge in food in areas I would not normally have (Santa Monica Blvd in SilverLake and Rodeo Drive area). If you like a home-made ordinary meal try Cantor's Restaurant and then get their home-baked cookies to go. And of course, if you like fashion there are 2 places to go to: Fashion District and of course Rodeo Drive.
Noisy, lots of traffic, hard to get anywhere. We used uber. San Diego is nice town, very nice walk by the ocean, good restaurants. Was a little disappointed with Rodeo Drive and Hollywood blvd. At night in LA is too dark, not enough light. The main feeling - this is one of the big cities, has no "point" to go there. Solvang is amazing place, but keep in mind that it is too far from LA - took us about 3 hours to get there. And all stores close at 5 pm. Need to stay there at least a night to be able to see all interesting places.
The weather was great. Can't complain about 82 degrees during the day and low 70's during the evening. The traffic is a nightmare. The only time I didn't run into traffic was at 4:00 a.m. The plight of the homeless was overwhelming. Everywhere we went there were tents lined up on the sides of roads with people either sitting in front of them or sleeping inside. We even saw people sleeping on the sidewalk. There are a lot of great places to eat. Highly recommend, And Waffle, The Coffee Company, and if you are feeling fancy, Yamashiro!! This place is beautiful, the view is beautiful and the food is great. Venice Beach was pretty nice and Rodeo Drive was incredible. The fashion district is great as well.
I live in Los Angeles, so this trip was a staycation for us. There are ways to do LA right & there are ways you might experience LA and not want to return. A good start is choosing a hotel like Shutters on the Beach & just decide to stay put. Ocean breeze, sunsets, excellent luxury accommodations and weather you can almost bet on.
Rooms are very nice, bathrooms are well lit and clean. Large kitchenette with a full size fridge, microwave and a dishwasher. Hotel is located 2 minutes away from the arrival and departure terminals. Rental car pick up and return is 2 blocks away. Plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area. There is a decent gym in the hotel and a Starbucks next door. There is a free airport shuttle from the hotel. Very nice and polite staff. This is my go to hotel when I need a room near LAX.
Great hotel which is in the center of downtown, Los Angeles. The Staples Centre is right next door so great for any sports or concerts you might be looking to attended. Doesn’t get noisy in your room off the back of that as well which is another plus. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean, can’t really ask for more. The staff were exceptional, a real highlight of the whole hotel. If we ever needed anything or had any questions, they were always there to help.
The Huntley Hotel is conveniently located off of the California Incline and access to Hwy 1 and Hwy 10 toward LA. The views to the coast and Malibu hills are spectacular! The rooftop restaurant is great! The Nespresso coffee machines in the rooms are a nice upgrade! Staff are very professional, efficient and friendly! There are bicycles that can be rented for free. We enjoyed our bike ride to the Pier and on the beach! We loved every minute of our stay!
The lobby was cute and easy to find, and easily accessible for hotel guests at any time of day. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room had a nice seating area to eat, lounge, and work. The bathroom and shower were really nice. We were very comfortable and for the price the location is amazing. I picked the hotel online for price and cleanliness and it definitely delivered on those. For downtown LA you won't find a better value.
The location is excellent, super close to downtown attractions, yet in a quiet area. The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was fresh and with a good selection. The room was very nicely appointed and had a very comfortable bed and a nice hardwood floor. The bathroom was small but nice and the closet was a good size. There was a refrigerator and coffee maker and free WiFi.
Downtown LA, Los Angeles
I loved the price! Considering how cheap it is in the CENTER of downtown LA, I really have no complaints. The rooms were clean, I had a nice view, the beds were comfortable and the little lamp in each bunk is great. Everyone gets a little cabinet to put their luggage and stuff in. The staff was very helpful with the super easy self-check in. The little lobby area is very nice as well.
A great hotel with a great room. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way and we enjoyed our stay. The location is close to the LAX airport but far from Downtown Los Angeles. We used a rented car to get around. There is a McDonald’s just across the street and plenty of shops nearby. We would definitely stay again.
Los Angeles
Nice location, not too far by car from anywhere, Hollywood, downtown LA, Venice Beach. Very friendly manager who has a vast knowledge of the area, and very helpful in giving advise, best routes, parking areas, etc. I would definitely stay here again if ever back in LA.
This hotel has the best shower and hot tub system I have had given the fact that they have lower rates in downtown Los Angeles. Their pool and the rooftop bar are really really nice too! There are plenty of great restaurants around!
Venice Beach, Los Angeles
Location is nice near the beach in downtown Venice. It is also one of the cheaper places to stay in the area. I had a private room which is good size and I found very comfortable
Excellent location, bang opposite LA live Great bar attached Front desk was amazing rooms better than most 5 stars best hotel I have stayed at in downtown LA
Very courteous staff and the bed was extremely comfortable! Location very convenient if you are going places in downtown Los Angeles or nearby areas.
Really nice modern hotel, area itself isn’t amazing but very good transport links to Hollywood and Downtown LA etc
best hotel/motel outside downtown LA.
Venice Beach, Los Angeles
Beautiful hotel that exceeded all expectations! An oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Venice Beach. Kudos to those behind the refurb and design of the rooms and garden areas. Special shout out to Brenna for being super accommodating. George & Jess
staff was very friendly and solved every problem immediately very clean rooms directly on the beach very good location to go out at night
Super location near shops, restaurants and the beach. Very good covid protocol in place. Good value for the cost.
