The hotel was clean and accommodating. There were clear signs directing guiding you through the construction. The construction didn't take away from the experience. I was upgraded and offered early check-in upon arrival.

The staff was really nice and super helpful. The location is perfect for carless tourists, with plenty of tourist attractions within walking distance. If you stay here, be sure to visit Tamales Veracruz, just 100 feet away from the hotel, for the best horchata and empanadas in the area!
The rooms felt a little outdated, but the beds were super comfortable and everything was clean. There aren't any breakfast options at the hotel, but there is a cafe right next door - it's pretty pricey. If you have more time there is a good spot with breakfast options at Organico or Ggiata.
Overall great value for money.

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
First advice - Never, ever go there with a pregnant lady.
First advice - Never, ever go there with a pregnant lady. It's hard to walk around, gets crowded here and there, and what could have been a great trip, became a nightmare.
The city is huge and you'll need a car to see the most and best of it.
The people were amazing, very polite and cheerful - way better than described by previous visitors.
LA is not a city, is many cities together, so be prepared to drive around all day. Maybe take a day for each "city" so it becomes a cool experience, and not a stress trying to cover all bases in a short period of time.
Count in the time you'll waste in traffic - this is crucial, and plan to go against it - leave town in the morning, come back by the end of day and you'll be good.
Best street art I've seen - LA won
Go outside LA, there's plenty to see like Huntington beach and many others. It's worthy

Our first visit to LA and Hollywood and we could not have picked a better hotel for location. The breakfast in the hotel was continental with good choices of hot and cold. The pool was great and bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and roomy.

We booked for 4 nights which is probably one too many when you are engaged on a longer tour of the USA. LA is however a fantastic place to visit, especially at the Coast and I would recommend it to anyone

Los Angeles is a lovely vibrant place with many facilities, shops, beaches and restaurants. There is so much to do so plan your stay wisely as not to miss anything you want to do. Restaurants galore! A couple of our favourites were in Marina del Ray with lovely views overlooking the marina. Universal studios was a great day but would advise pre buying tickets as you can get good deals as quite pricey on the gate.

I was travelling for business, and I had a few hours each evening to experience LA. Downtown LA is not great, with lots of homeless people and poorly lit streets. The best places are Santa Monica, the Hollywood Hills, and the theme parks. The food is expensive and generally not good - although I found a delightful sushi place which was awesome. The people are friendly and I felt safe in the daytime.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is still my favourite place, with an eclectic mix of friendly extraverts and a huge variety of places to eat, including the Hard Rock Cafe.
I won't stay in DTLA next time; if I had to, I'd stay in one of the 4- or 5-star hotels.
Getting around: By day, the train is good and costs only $1.75 per trip, with a maximum daily charge of $5. Uber at night or when it is too difficult to get to places.
Other fun things - La Brear Tar Pits - great fossil history - dire wolves don't just exist in Game of Thrones; Dodgers Stadium for a baseball match; a sunset cruise at Marina Del Rey - see the sealions and lots of weird houseboats.
One thing to love about LA is that a cocktail is cheaper in some establishments than a cup of tea!

Wow, where do I start?
Wow, where do I start? Probably the most unsafe I have ever felt going to another place in my life. Was expecting a bit more glitz and glam, was met with people shooting up in the street. Locals seem to love the place, but if you like dirty horrible cities where you feel scared for your life then you’ll love L.A.
only plus point is the food. The people are kinda rude.
Hotel and room are nice, clean and refurbished. Only two toilets and two showers per floor but they are big and were always vacant every time I went and kept clean and replenished.
My room was quite big, queen size bed with big window, fan (very important), sink, soap, a set of towels, wardrobe, table and chair, cups, earplugs, hangers, mirror, fridge and tv.
Cheaper compared to the average in the area (but still a bit expensive for solo traveller for a room with shared bathroom).
Good location in a nice area and next to the bus stop.
A great hotel with a great room. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way and we enjoyed our stay. The location is close to the LAX airport but far from Downtown Los Angeles. We used a rented car to get around. There is a McDonald’s just across the street and plenty of shops nearby. We would definitely stay again.
Nice hotel in a quiet residential area, central west Hollywood, easy to reach both airport (30 min), rodeo (10min), walk of fame (10 min), Beverly hills (5 min) ..
Clean, large and comfortable room, with well refurnished mini-bar
Swimming pool on top
Very good value for price
The location of the hotel is very close to the attractions in Downtown, LA. The room size is good. There are lots of cheap parking places around so you don't have to pay for the vale.
