As always, we had an extremely pleasant stay. The hotel is safe and clean, and we had everything we needed. I hope the parking lot security guard is having the most wonderful day! We saw the same security guard several times (an older gentleman that always saluted us and was so friendly), and he made our stay exceptionally lovely. The whole staff is excellent.

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

We stayed in Santa Monica but it has changed a lot since I was last there in 1998. It was not vibrant, it lacked tourists and there a few empty shops along 3rd Street.
It seemed West Hollywood had more excitement and was closer to a lot of things we ended up doing.

There are so many great things to see and do. Hollywood.
There are so many great things to see and do. Hollywood. Hollywood Boulevard and the stars of the stars. Santa Monica, Venice beach . Both great for different reasons. Santa Monica good beach and great Pier. Plenty of good places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. Venice beach, also a good beach, great place to hang out , great shops . Like stepping back in time. With more time I would have hired bikes and surf boards and enjoyed the beachfront more. Should have planned my time better to fit in a baseball game.

3. The Getty Villa
4. The Huntington Library and Gardens
5. The Norton Simon Museum
6. The Broad Museum
7. The Hammer Museum
8. MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art
9. Museum of Neon Art
10. The Skirball Cultural Center
I visited the powerful Museum of Tolerance as well.

LA has the most amazing friendly people and sunny weather!
LA has the most amazing friendly people and sunny weather! I would highly recommend renting a bicycle and riding through Venice Beach. Universal Studios is also an excellent family activity. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a little overrated and Downtown LA is not safe at night so steer clear if possible. We relied solely on public transport, the trains are easy to navigate but note that they don’t go everywhere so often you need to change to a bus. I would recommend renting a car if you have small children.

Druggies and the people that hand them free drugs everywhere...
Druggies and the people that hand them free drugs everywhere. As well as the people who film them, make fun of them and give the failed non-profits money for more misuse and free drugs. Everything is too covered in trash, feces, tents and graffiti to enjoy. The entire city and state is infested with roaches. If you intend to use the buses or trains, they are filled with violent people smoking meth and never ever on time.I came here for the weather and public transit, I am currently saving to go back to Michigan(definitely not a perfect state but better).
very friendly staff, we got a free room upgrade and enjoyed a spacious room with a very comfortable and big bathroom. the rooms were clean and nice, even if the decor is a bit 'airport hotel' vibes. the room rate included breakfast in the hotel's diner, which was great because there are not many nice breakfast options in the neighborhood. the downtown LA area is not very comfortable and safe but this property and its parking area was well lit and felt comfortable.
The price realted to the ubication was amazing even on december holidays. The place is in front of the Doubly Teather with view to the wall of the hollywood stars. However if you have a bad luck and probably paying the cheapest tariff the room coul be more like a shelter than a hostel with people on drugs. Neverthelss, I asked for a change and the new room was totally different very clean and very confrotable.
The hotel is close to metro station Wilshire / Vermont, which provides excellent connections to Hollywood, Downtown LA, Griffith Observatory, La Brea with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Farmers Market.
The rooms have much space, a clean and functional bathroom. WiFi is available everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast is adequate. The service nice and kindly.
A great hotel with a great room. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way and we enjoyed our stay. The location is close to the LAX airport but far from Downtown Los Angeles. We used a rented car to get around. There is a McDonald’s just across the street and plenty of shops nearby. We would definitely stay again.
