Downtown area was vibrant and upscale.
Downtown area was vibrant and upscale. We enjoyed sitting at an outdoor cafe eating gelato and listening to an outdoor performer singing classic American songs. We took in a trip to an interesting museum. We walked a bit. We felt quite safe.Although this trip to St Petersburg was rather short we have been there before and we’ll return again.

I have a business in St.
I have a business in St. Petersburg and love the atmosphere and people and their effort to make it into a destination city as well as their old beachfronts. Living part-time in central Florida the traffic in St. Pete is stupendous. Coming from New York City, there is "no traffic" here at all. That added to my stay as well as the great weather, super tennis at Bartlett Park, great restaurants, and interesting small airport nearby did.
The hotel itself is pretty nice. The rooms are decently sized, well-equipped and very clean. They're also really modern, featuring a lot of tech and automation. The staff is friendly. Also the location within St. Petersburg is really good, as there are a lot of clubs, restaurants and bars nearby. We liked the full-functioning kitchen and the free amenities, such as water and popcorn. Also given the standard, it's pretty reasonably priced! Overall recommendation.
I had specifically asked for a pet friendly hotel & this one came up, so I booked. I was not even completely thru the door when the desk clerk yelled at me that pets were not allowed. My pet is a 10lb papashire & my ESA. After a grueling 10 hr drive, I didn’t have it in me to argue. So I was in StPetersburg on a busy Saturday night with no room. To say I was displeased is putting it mildly.
The location was perfect...within very close proximity to great restaurants; beautiful strolls along the water; Dali Museum, etc. We didn't spend much time at the hotel during our stay in St. Petersburg, but the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. We didn't eat the full breakfast at the hotel, but it was nice to pick up some fruit and tea in the morning.
The staff was mostly good. I liked the liveliness in the evenings. I liked how St. Pete night life was close by. Better weather would have made it more enjoyable, but that's not the hotel's fault. I loved the idea of providing a basket for towel refreshment outside the door when necessary vs cleaning staff entering each day.
Wonderful small hotel, perfect location for walking and seeing downtown St. Pete. Near restaurants and shopping and the Pier. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff! Loved the food and drinks at the rooftop bar, great waitress, great view, was so much fun!
Classic old hotel with panache. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom, although quite small, was updated and exceeded our expectations. Excellent service from front desk. Easy parking. Fantastic location in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg.
Driving 3/12 to St. Pete/Clearwater airport for a flight on 3/13- booked on line what I thought this was the holiday Inn one mile from the airport - but is in St. Petersburg, not St Pete Clearwater!! A $202. Non- refundable mistake.
Absolutely amazing experience at the Inn. Very welcoming and personal. Feels like coming home. If you are looking for old world experience in the heart of historic downtown in St. Petersburg you would love The Inn on Third!
Lovely boutique hotel - we received a warm welcome from staff and great ambiance and family feel to the hotel
