The location on the edge of the Pearl District
The rooms were dismal, bathroom tiny and the price way too high for what you get.
Everything !! The position was great , u cod walk to everything . Comfiest bed I've ever slept in . Staff really helpful , especially the concierge.
loved the centralized downtown location, charming rooms, next to an empty lot so we could walk our dog, onsite underground parking, fridge, large windows/natural light, curtains to block light, closet space, EXCELLENT customer service and friendly staff.
a little bit dated - but it has lovely charm - and that keeps location affordable so really it's a positive for me.
The hallways smell funny and there was a hole in one of our walls. We were looking for something up kept and classy for a comfortable, romantic, one night stay and what we got was feeling like we spent the night in our grandma's basement. We are not high maintenance people, the pictures online are just very deceiving. This was not worth what we paid. We were very let down.
Building. Location. Quiet
The view from my window. Terrible. Room 503
Comfortable room, nice breakfast, cookies in the afternoon, cheese and a bit of wine for happy hour and an ever present coffee machine with a good selection of options. Garage parking (extra cost but convenient. Wonderful location near the Pearl district.
the king size bed was fabulous
was expecting a larger room for the price
The location was perfect for MAX, streetcar, walking, eating, drinking and coffee. I had a jr suite and was very pleased. Breakfast options were somewhat limited but didn't matter to me. There are many options for lodging in this area but I think this is at the top of the list. The sunrise and early evening view was spectacular from 607.
Elevators a bit slow. Took some time for hot water to reach the shower on several occasions. Minor issues.
was the perfect location for us for or planned activities. Very clean & comfortable. Late check out was nice, but not the late check in...for the money spent.
Waiting for the room to be ready. We were told we world be contacted on my cell when it was ready, then waited in the reception area, reading, etc., then started noticing that people were getting their rooms before us & another couple that had been waiting. We were never called. We wound up getting another room...an upgrade & it was very nice, but was still irritated that they dropped the ball.
The location is very good. Linen are gorgeous. Rooms are not big, but everything is done wisely. The hotel design is very nice. Excellent little kitchen in our junior suit.
Problems with room key card to open the door.
Nice clean rooms with super comfy bed!! The free coffee in the lobby was the best I have ever had at a hotel!!!
Everything about this beautifully renovated boutique hotel felt perfect except the bed. The room was spacious and well appointed, and the location couldn't have been better.
The queen bed was too soft and uncomfortable for two people. Would not stay there again only for that reason.
The staff and room were excellent.
NO view except of a concrete wall (not 6 feet from the window) and construction. Did not expect that whatsoever. Feel the room, despite how nice it is should be much cheaper.
First time in Portland risking a stay at MS Could not beat it, in Seattle the Seagulls woke me up The rooms at the Mark Spencer are quiet Right in the center of town walking distance to everything We are going back
I made a bad choice in not booking one or two more nights
Location was excellent. This is a grand old hotel that has been modernized superbly by someone with an artistic eye and big budget. My wife loved the place and we would definitely stay there again.
The wifi kept dropping the connection.
close to Powell's City of Books; Convenient location; afternoon cookies; many options for coffee machine
No elevator from street to main entrance; small breakfast room; price
An excellent hotel ideally situated in the middle of Portland with all the city centre attractions within easy reach either on foot or public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our three days at the hotel. The inclusive breakfast was plentiful. Many restaurants and bars close by but the hotel was quiet.
Decor and overall feel of hotel enjoyable. Loved the location near Pearl District!
Midst of renovations.....kitchenette had worn cabinetry and broken door handle.
Clean hotel with very friendly and patient staff (should've heard how some guests spoke to them...)
Breakfast selection is poor: only bread/toast, muffins, yogurt and I think cereal.. Hot food would be nice.
Quiet, nice suites with kitchen, very good location and a great staff at reception.
For the same price of other hotels, you can get an apartment with a kitchen!
Good location, good rooms, clean and large.
The location, reasonable price, helpful staff
A room looking in to a column of air. I appreciated it was quiet but rooms like that should be banned.
