Nice hotel for young couples. Had modern, mysterious vibe. Nice courtyard area. Hipster friendly. Clean.
Not ideal for families. It did not have direct access to Riverwalk, they played techno music in the hallways pretty loudly, no combs or brushes for those of us who forget things, rooms were comfortable but nothing really unique or memorable about the hotel.
Been a few steps, from River Walk it was very nice
The bath tub had some hairs on it, looks like they didn't clean it very well
Location good, room clean and big, entry beautiful, staff friendly and hrlpful
We were a family of 4 to one room but only one device could have free wifi, no complementary breakfast. I was told there was a refrigerator in room when I called ahead, but she failed to tell me I could not use it for personal use since it was loaded with chargeable items
Really nice and clean rooms. Super staff.
Beds are too small in two bed rooms. They are doubles when for the price they should be at least queens. The restraunt had nothing for kids, but we didn't realize it was a fine dining restraunt.
awesome beds, luxurious towels and spacious rooms. The staff was always available and friendly
Only one device gets the free wifi
How the whole ordeal was easy and very well kept. We were in town for a wedding, wish we could have stayed longer.
no alterative parking facilities, valet is the only easy option and pricey.
Staff was more than willing to assist in every way and not one had his/ her hand out!
Location was good.
Front desk staff was courteous but insincere. Said they would take care of a room change from a VERY noisy room across from elevators and ice machine. First call was at 7:30 am.....took multiple calls and a wasted afternoon before we finally got the new room at 5:30 pm. The front desk folks didn't seem to care...thank you so much! Not what we were expecting at that price.
The food was good.
We were charged for a river view, but the view was completely blocked. Not enough towels. Took 1-2 hours after 2 phone calls to get a room service menu and a make-up mirror that worked. Room service was limited to soups & sandwiches (no entrees' offered). No in-room movies. Few towels.
The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and beds are big and comfortable. Gym facility is great. Position fantastic. Central and close to Riverwalk.
Service in restaurant is poor. Value for money in restaurant poor. Multiple requests at the front desk were not responded to.
The friendliness of the staff and the quietness. The architecture of the hotel is really beautiful and calming.
I felt the small portion of food vs pricing was found lacking. The pillows were too soft for me.
I like everything the room, the staff and the way it was close to the riverwalk
Location absolutely fabulous.
After I return home, there was a mysterious bill added to my credit card. When I sent email for an answer the hotel did not respond!! Very bad for such a good hotel!!!!
We like how we are always treated and sometimes there is wine and beer left in our room for our special occasions. The location is great and in walking distance to many good restaurants and bars.
Location was great! Restaurants close by. The valet guys were great. Loved the atmosphere.
Receptionist was a bit rude. Cards to the elevator were not working, girl came over and stated very rudely just swipe the card, which I had done numerous times. Ny son would go to the lobby and was asked several times if he "belonged" there. Staff was very rude, which is sad for such a pretty hotel. Their deposit is a bit mistrusting. I have traveled the world and this is the first hotel that held a deposit, strange and they should do away with it. The receptionists need more training on what to say and not say to guests. They need to be more professional.
Beds were not made, coffee and water not replenished, only the bathroom was cleaned, front desk staff not particularly friendly, valet parking very expensive and extremely slow.
The courtyard is beautiful. The pillows are so comfortable.
The decor and furniture were too dark and so on my first day in the hotel I bumped into bed corners 5 times. My husband too but not as many times.
The staff, esp. the valet staff was very helpful
did not come to room and make bed or freshen up towels.had to call front desk to get more towels.
The hotel was beautiful , festive and clean. The Staff was exceptional and made you feel so welcome. The VBar bartenders were so friendly and accomadating (Yensensia) and the restaurant was wonderful. Ed the manger took excellent care of us and we felt spoiled. What a great place. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Wish it had a spa and pool but very quaint.
Food in the restaurant was good.
The mattress on both beds was not comfortable. Felt like one side was higher than the other. The front desk could be a little more friendly. A smile now and then goes a long way!
It's everything a romantic could create out of poetic stay in the heart of San Antonio. Love can truly be fostered within the walls of the quite rooms with only a moments walk away from great restaurants and the sounds of the legendary Majestic theater.
Great, friendly, professional event coordinator (Stephen).
Thought all was pretty good.
