Everything was super sweet and quaint. Staff was excellent and our breakfast was delicious. Room was quite cozy. Absolutely beautiful location although tough to see as we arrived after dark. Wish we could've stayed longer. Perfectly pastoral ❤️

Food was fresh and tasty without exception over our 3 night stay. We had dinner each night and breakfast each morning. Convivial bar area leads to chatting with other guests. Good selection of beers and wines. Special mention for Marcus who was on duty each night, and a great host. Parking is easy outside, and Torver acts as a great base to explore south Lakeland. In spite of constant rain, we had a great stay.

This was our last family get together as my mum was beginning her palliative process. It was peaceful for all of us and her when she needed to rest. She loved seeing all of us together and in such a beautiful setting.

Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable though we didn't sleep because of the heat (no fault of the inn). Food was delicious (especially breakfast) and drinks were a reasonable price. The Inn's outside areas are spacious and well maintained. Staff friendly. Would stay again.

Loved the location, the centuries old Inn and the hosts. Continental breakfast was wonderful and Julie couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. A quiet nook in south Coniston water, away from the maddening crowds elsewhere.

I was very happy to arrive at the warm and cosy Wilson Arms after a long rainy day hiking the Cumbria Way. The room with a beautiful view was very nice and I immediately felt at home. My personal highlight was the golden bathtub right in the room. Awesome! There were lots of gluten-free options for both breakfast and dinner, which is not always so easy for me when travelling. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s historic character. Wilson’s Inn over the road did very good food (& ale) Not a cooked breakfast is actually better for a walker. I helped myself to cereal & toast and got away quickly to make the most of the day.

Only continental breakfast was offered, but this was excellent in quality, variety, quantity, and value for money. The rooms were lovely in a very old coaching inn...excellent showers and all necessary items were there....the welcome was very friendly and helpful, too.
