Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The bathroom had no window and no ventilation, so the whole room got very humid after the shower. The ventilation in the room was also poor and very noisy, the room got very hot at night, even if it was cold outside.
Child friendly, with a different activity for children each morning, very good breakfast. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows not so much. We were initially given a room that looked very tired and was very hot, but since the bed was broken we were moved to another room that looked much better and had a little bit of ventilation (although kind of weak and noisy)

At check in the lady at reception wanted to charge our credit card a deposit which was 1289 euro. We were quite unhappy about it and we didn't have this money. The 3 nights were less than that amount and after a short discussion she agreed not to take a deposit.
The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were nice and responsive. The location is good, but not excellent, the underground and bus were 10 minutes walking, which in a cold rainy day is not the best.

Minor inconvenience of water pooling in the shower (didn’t drain properly) but again the staff cleaned it up each day. Also finding the right Montparnasse station entrance for the metro was a challenge - perhaps front desk could proactively offer maps/directions?
Very nice staff who went above and beyond to welcome us and help us have a smooth and good trip. Room worked well for our family of 4 including two grown teenagers. Sofa bed (two twins, really) was surprisingly comfortable and the cleanup by the staff each day made it perfect for our stay.

Breakfast take away of last day, I paid but in the bag there were very few items and without any fresh sweeties or something. Very disappointing.
Breakfast, room cleaning, "strategic" position very close to Gare Montparnasse. Very good staff.

Very pleasant for our family of two adults and two children. 10 minutes walk from any Metro station and a very well-connected by bus The rooms were a good size, the reception was very pleasant and airy. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast in the morning: an excellent breakfast buffet for the whole family with lovely quality food.

The location is at the south side of Montparnasse station, a little walk from TGV tracks. Totally fine without luggages but may be a burden for overseas travelers with heavy luggages.
The staff was extremely friendly and flexible. The rooms are large enough for a family of 4 with luggages and well furnished. I had a walk to Les Invalides through historical residential areas having a nice outlook on what can be a daily life in Paris.

Our room was clean and neat. The staff prepared the birthday cake we ordered for our son‘s birthday and the room were decorated with balloon, which was a great suprise for my son. He loved it. The breakfast was good. Friendly cosy casual environment the hotel wants to present. There are two metro stations nearby.

Can’t think of anything
Good location, 5mins walk to train station. Staff were excellent, hardworking and always smiling. There was a really nice vibe in the hotel and it caters for everyone. Great for the kids, the magician and entertainment at breakfast was a nice touch. I would highly recommend for families.

The metro station is way too far. No restaurants in the vicinity.
