Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Taking a hot bath failed as hot water run out and bath was uncomfortable, the mattress had a sunken spot in it.
The room and hotel in general big and airy. The table in the room near the big window was nice. The room worth the size of an apartment. Location is great near restaurants and parks.

Could have done with a little TLC in the room. Freshly painted, and the bathroom floor needed some new lino on it. The room overall was perfect for my stay due to the majority of the time I was only sleeping there.
The location of the hotel was within 4 mins walk of where I needed to be on a daily basis. I always knew that Lim was available if I needed any assistance, and he also gave me his mobile phone number, which was a great help. The room was clean, including clean towels and bedding. The bed was comfortable.

Carpet a bit stained and two of the bases of the single beds in our room were a tad wonky and could really use updating.
Great location and great price with helpful, friendly staff. Clean bathroom with fantastic shower.

Ground floor room gets a fair amount of noise from the street due to thin windows.
Perfect location for a quick visit in the west end of glasgow. Easy checkin process and very reactive staff when messaging on the app.

Beds were dreadful. No mattress protector and small sheets. So uncomfortable I didn’t sleep.

The room was good; however, the second day of our stay somebody tried to get in at 23:30. Fortunately, the door was locked. I opened the door and tried to find out who was that and saw the main door of the house was shut.
Location was excellent. The room's space great. There was no breakfast.

The property is very tired. Stair carpet not attached to the stairs in places. H&S risk? I stayed from Friday to Sunday no sign of a receptionist. No reception desk. I emailed the owner asking for wifi code no response. The electricity went off on the first morning, only on my floor. Why?? I was moved to a room on the ground floor. Nicer room, but again very tired, stains on the rug etc. On the first night I lost my key. I phoned the owner on two different numbers three or four times. No answer. I left a message as I was desperate to get into my room for medication. A young man, who seemed to represent the owner, was very helpful but no sign of a master key. Fortunately my key was found. Never heard from the owner. This hotel has the potential to be something special but it’s neglected.
The beds were comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. The ensuite was clean. The housekeeper was extremely helpful and kind. She was the only staff I saw. Location is very good.
