Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThere were a few things lacking like cleaning detergent for the sink and the dishwasher, which we had to buy ourselves and the wifi is a bit slow, but fine for sending emails etc. There is no stove-top coffee pot, so coffee is only by way of nespresso pods. We also had to request additional sheets for the sleeper couches, but these were promptly provided.
Ca'Cappellis is big, spacious and light and very very comfortable. All the amenities were great, the bathrooms were really big and clean, and the rooms were really comfortable and spacious. There is a lot of cupboard and storage space for clothes, and the beds were really comfy, including the sleeper couches, which are actual mattresses. The fridge was stocked with bottled water for us. The host was fantastic and friendly, and very helpful and communicative. There were ample towels and hotel slippers provided for all guests.

United States of AmericaIf you are expecting a hotel with employees, this is not your place. It is a suit of hotel rooms off a large common room, but there are only people around in the morning to serve breakfast and make up the rooms. While those folks were very nice, they did not know how to fix things (like the coffee maker) and there was no one available in the evening if your room was made up without towels, or there was no coffee or tea. This was more like an apartment than a hotel. All communication with the owner was via e-mail or text.
Ca'Cappellis is in an excellent location -- far enough away from the main tourist attractions that it is calm and quiet, but close enough that it is an easy walk to get anywhere. The breakfast was nice and they tried hard to accommodate our dietary limits. The room was spacious and modern. The self check-in procedure was easy.

South AfricaWe never saw anybody related to the facility and arrived there with everything in place and left without seeing any body related to the hotel
The facility was very good and we enjoyed our stay there as the location was good. Everything we required was there.

United States of AmericaThe room felt sterile. There was no decoration at all. The room was not as pictured. Sofa and rugs shown didn’t exist. Two beds with lamps. Curtains. Some bookcases. The lighting in the bathroom was very poor. You couldn’t shave or do make up as it was way too dark with shadows. The breakfast served was nothing like what was pictured on website or described in emails. No fruits, no salted meats, no cheeses. Coffee, OJ, croissant, yogurt and maybe a small pastry. That’s it. Because it’s served in your room there is no was to have a second coffee, croissant etc.
We’ll located, comfy bed, large bathroom with nice shower

United States of AmericaThe climb up the stairs to the 4th floor (US, 3rd by European standards) was brutal, given the ceilings of each floor must have been 20 feel tall! Especially carrying luggage. The sofas in the family room were very hard and uncomfortable. We couldn't find a drying rack for the clothes.
The flat was very clean and nicely decorated. It was lovely and quiet and somewhat central. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well to keep the place nice and cool. It was broken in one bedroom, but they must have known that, as they included a fan (which we used to pull in cold air from the hallway). The bathrooms were updated and well stocked.

NetherlandsThe breakfast was plain bad. It required quite a bit of chatting with the staff to get the breakfast to our liking. The first day it the breakfast only included cake, pie, coffee, muffins, yoghurt, and sweetend croissants (fully glazed with sugar). We just want fruits, neutral yoghurt, breads with cheese/ham, some oats, milk, and coffee. Not sure who the standard breakfast is aimed for. Only very old people who can only taste sweets?
The location is amazing. Perfectly situated in the centre of Venice. 10 minute walk from the Doge's Palace. On the street of the B&B are atleast 5 restaurants. Some more fancy, some with better price deals. There are also a few bars. Yet it is quite enough to also go to sleep early if needed.

CanadaThis is not a hotel as you will not interact with anyone — all communications are through Booking or WhatsApp and very transactional and there is no warmth to the stay. No notes or tips are provided and it just felt a bit cold.
Clean hotel, more like rental rooms, in a great location near Rialto. The hotel is a bit dated and the room needs a refresh but nothing drastic (all cosmetic). Location is the draw. The foyer could be better used to set up a space for guests to relax, especially near the balcony!

United KingdomWe were expecting a buffet breakfast (as per the website) but instead, breakfast was served to each room on a trolley. The selection was good but lots of very sweet pastries/cakes and far too much to eat. Coffee/tea was cold by the time it arrived and we had to ask for milk for the tea, which was disappointing.
Location was excellent, just 15 minutes walk to Ospedale water bus stop. Away from the busy crowds but walking distance to some very good restaurants.
