Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room faced on to the street. There was some noise from outside in the evening. If you don't want this you could ask for a room facing inwards.
A lovely hotel down a side street. It's a busy area so we felt safe at all times. Large attractive room with a very high ceiling. The breakfast room is amazing. Very old and historic, like a banquet hall. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of choices.

NetherlandsThe surroundings, entrance and lobby of the hotel. No stairs to get to the rooms, the only access is by elevator (a small one).
The room was comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast room is beautiful. The location is very convenient for visiting the old center of Napoli.

SlovakiaBreakfast was not as in 4star hotels. Everyday we had the same with very limited choice. Water for tea was not hot enough :(; We had 2 rooms, in one room we had constant problem with temperature, air conditioning did not work well, which was problem in cold days.
Hotel was in a nice location with close distances to everywhere. Room was big enough with all we needed. Very comfortable beds.

NetherlandsWe got the room 232 right next to the Breakfast hall so it was noisy very early in the morning. Make sure if you are a light sleeper to ask to be put in a different room.
The hotel is very nice and more beautiful is the breakfast hall. People were friendly and nice. Also the hotel is in the old town of Naples, making it a good base for exploring the city

LatviaI stayed in Room 210, which is located directly across from the kitchen. Despite the workers' efforts to be as quiet as possible, noise begins early in the morning, creating discomfort for those wishing to sleep in, particularly over the weekend.
Great hotel housed within an old palazzo. It has been beautifully refurbished and restored. As one wanders down the narrow street housing this hotel, it becomes difficult to imagine that such charm and accommodation lie behind its modest lobby. The standout feature was the breakfast, served in a grand, spacious hall. Dining there— an experience that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time—overwhelms you with beauty to the extent it might even distract you from your meal. Indeed, this hotel ensures its guests receive nothing less than unforgettable experiences.

United KingdomBreakfast was very standard. We weren’t impressed. The coffee was instant! In Italy!!! I think the staff informed an Italian customer that there was the choice to order proper coffee but we weren’t told and I assumed we’d be charged for that. There was a workman in our room when we arrived. We were quite surprised by that. He left a lot of dust and plaster on the floor when he left. It’s not rocket science to either clear it up or call housekeeping- we paid good money for this room. That was unacceptable. The check in person was kind but spent a lot of time with the previous guests telling them all sorts of things and then did a very basic check in for us. Didn’t tell us that reception would close and our bags would be stored downstairs at a certain time (we were early so didn’t get the room straight away). He also didn’t notice it was my husbands birthday when using his passport to check us in. That’s also quite basic customer service at a ‘four star’ property. Final gripe was that the staff were very unhelpful. Seemed bored. Seemed upset to be there and that really dampened the whole atmosphere. Not work the money for more than one night and I’m sure you’d find a better place for slightly more money. Also wanting to be fair - this was February so very much the off season but no excuse for the cost
The room was beautiful. The main dining area was the grandest room I’ve ever eaten in. Absolutely stunning. The patio was lovely and reception was quite pretty. Beds comfy, nice high ceilings and beautiful furniture in the rooms.

United KingdomNothing major but the room was rather dark as there was no ceiling light, only wall lights. Not a big deal as we didn't really stay in the room all day - the sights are too good for that.
Fabulous location (we walked everywhere), great service and the stunning breakfast room. Everything was as described, hotel building is beautifully restored, very clean and room service comes around twice a day which is almost excessive. The breakfast selection is huge although if you need to have sweat tooth to fully enjoy it.

AustraliaThe room, I was in had a small bathroom that didn’t have any shelving or convenient spaces to place items required in the bathroom.
This was a return visit, as I loved my stay here the first time. I like the style of the hotel, the comfortable room and the quiet spaces that can be used. The breakfast room is a sight to behold and there is an extensive choice of food. It will not be my last stay. The location is also perfect for exploring Napoli.

United KingdomThere was no dining option or experience. Although there were many restaurants in the surrounding areas. As it is in the middle of the historic area in Napolis.
The dining room was so beautiful and grand. The features, decorations, and furniture's are sophisticated and traditional. There are other sitting areas in the hotel that are very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was beautiful and fresh, and intercontinental breakfast was delicious.

AustraliaTomatoes And cucambers that were served each morning were old, tomatoes rotten. Fruti salad made of old and decaying fruit, bitter and fermenting taste. Clearly used fruit in a salad which was meant to be discarded. My room (223) didn’t have a window. It had access to a common balcony. So no daylight at all. It is ok if you are out for most of the day.

AustraliaThe area was safe enough, just a bit edgy- I guess a bit Surrey Hills of old. Once you get used to it though, it’s fine…
The staff, the facilities were all fabulous. The breakfast room that doubled as a bar room in the evenings was simply outstanding! The young barman mixed one of the best Aperol Spritz I’ve ever had. There are also lovely sitting areas on each floor with some books in several languages you can can borrow and relax with a cup of tea.
