Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A little too much street noise. Best to stay on the other side of the hotel for less noise from the wine bar just up the street.

There was a noticeable smell in our room. I couldn't determine where it was coming from, but it was quite strong. The air conditioning in the room did not work and the safe did not inspire confidence. It was odd having to leave the key at the front desk when leaving.
The location was excellent, the best feature of the entire hotel. The breakfast was good.

Our toilet kept running, Each day they would fix, and it would be running again the next day.
The location of the hotel was excellent. Only a few blocks from Campo di Fiori and all of the activities. Friendly, helpful staff. The continental breakfast was nice with plenty of selections.

The hotel is located right by Trastevere, Campo di Fiori and there are many great restaurants, bars and shopping to do in the streets nearby. The staff at the reception were all particularly great, helpful and made our stay very easy.

Dowdy decor , interiors a bit drab . Rooftop could be an amazing space but wasn’t utilised and I was locked on the rooftop luckily I had a device and was able to get my daughter to let reception know.
We loved the variety of choices at Breakfast and Barista made Coffee . Hotel is in a great location to restaurant and famous landmarks . Professional, accommodating staff.

You could tell when the female waiter wasn't on duty in the breakfast room. She was very attentive to the hotel guests compared to the two male waiters. Also more than two teabags in the rooms.

hotel is not really a 4*, but well maintained, some construction nearby did not disturb us, but spoiled the view
location was ideal in a quiet area close to key sightseeing destinations, breakfast was tasty, but not as a 4* hotel, staff was very helpful and polite, bed were comfortable, staff arranged a return taxi to the airport

We were uncomfortable at night b/c we could not adjust the room temp. There is no in-room adjustment so were were way too warm. Had to open a window and that got noisy early in the morning.
Excellent location near to many restaurants and services. Nice staff, very helpful in general. Decent breakfast -- not extraordinary but who needs that.

The single room was extremely small - I had hoped to be able to work in the room, but was unable. And in contrast to the helpfulness of the front desk staff, my interactions with the people working in the breakfast room were fairly unpleasant; as an older woman traveling alone I am used to being overlooked, but not treated with rudeness. This was my second time staying at this hotel, but I'm not sure I will stay here again.
Extremely well located - in the historical center, walking distance to many sights, and good access to public transit. Hotel is well maintained and very clean. Front desk staff are very helpful and kind.

Sound insulation between rooms is definitely an problem.
