Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing, all good... perhaps the price tag... haha.
Amazing location and very lovely stay. The breakfast spread was fantastic and you can even see Mount Fuji from the restaurant window.

Bathroom fitout is a bit dated and could be spruced up.
Great convenient location at Shibuya Station. Great free views of Shibuya Scramble from the elevator lobby and glass elevator.

It was overpriced. They must really be capitalizing on the location because other than location I can’t explain the cost. Bathrooms need to be remodeled.
The location is fantastic. We had a great view fonthe scramble crossing from our room. Large rooms with comfortable beds and pillows.

The room, though spacious, was a bit too cramp to my liking especially the toilet. The entrance was a lil hard to spot but if you come from the shibuya station just keep going as if you were going to enter the super market then take a hard left you will see a neat hotel entrance with elevator hall.
The staff were eager to help, My family member who does not speak japanese have no trouble communicating with them at all. The room was spacious with excellent view of the Shibuya scramble cross walk and the hachiko statue. Very easy to get to the train station.

The carpet in the hallway of the floor we stayed on, smelled really musty when you got off the elevator, however, the room was fine
The location was unbeatable. It was extremely convenient and there was a limo bus from the hotel to Narita airport that was easy to book.

Communication in English with some staff was difficult. Unable to pin hotel lobby as pick up point on Uber as it is a restricted zone.
Location at Shibuya station. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Small rooms and dated bathrooms - although both were adequate.
External lifts give a great view over Shibuya. The easy access to the airport limousine is a huge advantage especially being the first stop. The staff are very helpful even if the information that they give varies a bit.

No place for big bags (like all hotels in tokyo) we always prefer floor with no carpet.
The hotel is great, very clean and location is very good , crew are friendly, toilets are perfect and shower room is big and clean.

The light and sound from the neighborhood were not blocked out by the curtains/windows so it was difficult to sleep well.
Loved the location basically attached to the station. Department store downstairs was good. Room was adequate.

Like most hotels, the rooms are small. The thermostat does not work at all. We put it on the lowest temperature and the highest temperature. The room temp never changed. And you cannot stream anything from your phone. It gives an error message that your device is from another region. So there are no entertainment options while in the room. The cost of the rooms were pretty high. I had two rooms for three nights for $2,300 USD.
The location is excellent. Shibuya crossing is literally at the base of the hotel, and it’s literally on top of the Shibuya train station. It’s extremely convenient. You are within walking distance of dozens of places to visit. And the staff is very friendly.

The bathrooms aren’t wet rooms - not a deal breaker but after experiencing traditional Japanese bathrooms they are definitely better than regular ones.
Perfect location, you can see the scramble crossing from the lifts and we had a view of the crossing from our room. The rooms are a decent size and very clean. There are washing facilities on the 8th 9th and 10th floor, these aren’t well advertised so I only found them from trip advisor. Staff all very friendly and spoke good English and helped with taxi bookings and luggage service.
